Pro-Life, Abolition or Something More

I have not been involved the anti-baby-murder movement very long. Like too many others, I was pretty much a bystander until David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt with the Center for Medical Progress exposed Planned Parenthood's aborted baby body parts wholesale operation in 2015 through a series of explosive videos. I have been standing outside the local abortion referral facility and participating in several anti-abortion events and protests since then.

I have observed a difference between the pro-life advocates and abolitionists approachesto ending baby-murder. I have wanted to put my thoughts down in writing for some time. Here is how I see the movements attempting to put an end to the atrocity, the holocaust called abortion.

The video below of an upcoming movie documentary has caused me to reflect seriously on this critical issue of baby killing in our present culture.

THE GOAL

Does everyone agree that the goal is to end all abortion in America?

THE STRATEGY

If so, do we settle for continuing to incrementally regulate the killing of babies saving some (Pro-Life)? Or do we insist that America completely #AbolishAbortion saving none until we see an end to all abortion (Abolition)?

WHO'S RIGHT?

Is it either Pro-Life or Abolition, or can it be both, all the above?

How do completely abolish abortion in our present environment with little or no strong, active, aggressive legislative, judicial or even church leadership or support?

UNITY

Is unity a possible solution or a major component or step toward achieving an end to abortion?

Can someone unify both the genuine pro-life warriors and the adamant abolitionist for the good of all the pre-born human beings? Who can unify or jump start a true a save-the-human-baby movement?

PRAYER

Prayer is part  the solution. Are we praying? What is our prayer? How are we praying? When are we praying, only during spring and fall 40 Days for Life campaigns or during the annual March for Life event? 

Are we praying effectively and earnestly enough (James 5:16)? Are we praying persistently enough (Luke 18:3)? Are we paying unceasingly (1 Thessalonians 5:17)?

Obviously not, abortion is still widespread and there is disunity in the ranks of the movements!

PROTEST

How do we protest? Mercifully or lovingly with not wanting to offend or hurt the feelings or damage the psyche of the woman seeking abortion information, pills or procedure? Hoping that love will penetrate her cold, dead heart?

Or do we protest truthfully with signs and words that show and tell the gruesome fact that abortion decapitates, dismembers, causes pain and eventually murders an actual living human being made in the image of God? Hoping passers-by will get the message and convert to a abolitionist viewpoint?  As well as hoping that truth will penetrate the cold dead heart of the abortion-minded woman who is either being coerced or who chooses to kill her baby.

The mercy-oriented protestor sees the truth-oriented protestors as cold, cruel, heartless, harmful, hateful, unkind, unloving and merciless and therefore wrong and ineffective.

On the other hand, the truth-oriented protestor sees the mercy-oriented protestor as weak, compromising, cowardly, deceived, fearful, inactive, misguided and therefore wrong and ineffective.

Who’s right?

PUBLIC

Meanwhile much of the public, if not ignoring the issue, it sits back and does not know what to make of the absent church which is itself apathetic at best and apostate at worst when it come to the issue of murder of the pre-born human beings.

The public education is skewed toward a pro-abortion, sex without consequences, women’s “reproductive rights” position. So, we wonder why abortion is so popular?

The mainstream media refuses to honestly report both sides of the abortion issue, underreporting any positive save-the-human-baby stories or developments such as the annual March for Life, but glorifying the sketching feminists attending the Women’s March for "Reproductive Rights."

Hollywood glamorizes abortion, and sex without consequences. It mocks fatherhood, motherhood and family.

POLITICS OVER PRINCIPLE

Why do we keep electing politicians who say they are pro-life, but once elected do next to nothing until they declare their pro-life support again the next election cycle. That cycle has been repeating for 46 years.

CONCLUSION

Here is what we can do, do all we can and let God use our humble but wholehearted good works.

 

·         effective, fervent, persistent unceasing and targeted prayer especially for strong leadership to immerge that will unify a save-the-human-baby movement; 

·         educate oneself and one’s community in getting a save-the-human-baby message out by raising awareness by regular presence outside abortion facilities and even churches and government offices; 

·         sacrificial support of worthy organizations and leaders in the save-the-human-baby movement whatever and whoever that may be as a result of your in-depth personal research;

·         identifying proven leaders and political candidates who will truly support the save-the-human-baby movement beyond lip service, then voting for, working to get them re-elected/elected and holding them to the fire, and supporting them financially and prayerfully.

Forgiven, the Trial of Amber Guyger

Is the Progressive Left in America in 2019 so hardened, so dogmatic, so Christophobic, so cynical, so closed-minded, so intolerant, so uninformed, so divisive, so heartless, so hyper partisan as to be unable to recognize, accept or to realize even the possibility that pure, unadulterated forgiveness is still possible in today’s jaded world? “Yes” seems to be the answer.

So, what are the Left's solutions to the perceived injustice by many on the Left see in the punishment given in the case of the murder of Botham Jean? Do we just accept and maintain the thinking that police are evil and that racism continues to exist on rampant levels in this nation? Do we change our justice system to build in more just punishment for "white on black" crimes? Do we eliminate the police forces or take their guns from them? 

Or do we just reject any sign or instance of reconciliation and continue to fuel and foment racial hatred and division to cause chaos (civil war) in order to quicken or usher in the establishment of a socialist or Marxist utopian state thereby bringing about full equality (or enslavement) to the masses?

Isn't the example of forgiveness shown by the brother of the murder victim enough to spark a revival of real racial reconciliation instead of looking for another incident to reinforce division among the "races" for political reasons?

I do not believe that Amber Guyger was/is a racist. However, even assuming that she was/is, wouldn’t the fact that Brandt (the victim's brother) forgave her demonstrate the power of true forgiveness even more? Brandt’s desire for Amber was not punishment, as he sincerely expressed in the courtroom, but was that she be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ and be forgiven by Him.

Amber’s remorse, regret and acceptance of Brandt’s forgiveness for the mistaken murder of his brother Botham, that wasn’t enough proof for the Left that forgiveness is real and works and can bridge any racial divide? Even Judge Tammy Kemp, put Amber away for 10 years wanted to see her reconciled to God and move on from the horror of this tragedy.

America needs hope, restoration, reconciliation and not more fomentation of hatred and violence that seems to motivate and characterize the rhetoric, the reactions and the actions of much of the Left.

A Tiny Contingent or a Muffled Majority?

Commenting on last Saturday's (June 15, 2019) annual LGBT Parade in Downtown Columbus, someone remarked in a Columbus Dispatch article, “In recent years, the most heartening change in the Pride Parade has been the growing number of kids and families in attendance.” However, seeing the increasing number of young persons and young children marching in and dispersed throughout the crowd to me is what was most disconcerting about the event.

I was one of the “tiny contingent of anti-LGBT (pro-traditional moral values) protesters” as described in that same article. We may have been small numerically, but our message was a major one, which was not represented anywhere, especially not by the several apostate churches participating in the parade. “Repent from your moral depravity” was our cry. Our signs and much maligned and muffled preaching condemned both the sexual depravity being openly flaunted and displayed as well as the equally heinous act of abortion so cherished by a shrinking portion of our culture.

Major companies like Kroger, Big Lots Stores, AEP, Nationwide and Aetna Insurance, and educational institutions like Ohio State and Capital Universities, Columbus City Schools and even advocates for pro-LGBT politicians sponsored and/or marched proudly in the three-hour plus decadent procession. All of these are candidates for targeted boycott by those of us who want to see American traditional moral values and virtues restored.

Do you love America This Much?

“I do this because I love America,” answered Kathy Boggs in answer to the question why does she conducts her monthly protest at the busy corner of Lexington-Springmill  and West 4^th Street in Ontario, Ohio. 

The Morrow County resident travels to the Mansfield area almost every month on the first Saturday of the month to show her support for the ideals that made America great, the important issues of the day and to support President Donald Trump.  This month she was joined by her mother, along with men from Richland, Crawford and Morrow counties, Bob, Jim and Greg.  Kathy held signs and the American flag and waved to passers-by.  The men held various signs.

One sign read, “Pray for President Trump, Sunday, June 2” which was a call that Franklin Graham and 250 other Christian leaders made to all Christians in America asking them to spend some time on Sunday praying for the President. The President is under extreme pressure from his many enemies including the Democrat Party, the media, Hollywood, many activist judges, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran among others.

As she was setting up her display of American flags and various signs, she had a few unexpected visitors including a woman visiting the Mansfield area for the summer. The woman hailed from the very liberal land of Washington State. She was so impressed with the positive message that she displayed that she stopped and talked with the organizer.  She also expressed an interested on helping Kathy sometime this summer.

Additionally Ms. Boggs display attracted a man, Alexander, from down under, Australia!  He was staying at a motel down the road and was planning to leave the next morning (Sunday). His request was if Kathy knew where he could find a “Make America Great Again” cap and tee shirts to take back with him to Australia. Imagine that, there are foreigners who are more patriotic than many of the passengers in cars driving by who gave protesters the middle finger, who were demonstrably unimpressed with the messages being displayed.

A Drag on the American Culture

D.Q. (Drag Queen) Man

In these days of the Avengers and superheros here comes D.Q. (Drag Queen) Man, the anti-superhero if there ever was one. One of his tasks is to help emasculate males in our culture. He's a cross between Madonna and Pee Wee, a real role model. He is now welcome in many public schools, public libraries and even some churches.

What is “Drag 101”? Is it a new elective college course offered by one of our “progressive” universities? No, “Drag 101” is a program being offered to highly impressionable, vulnerable CHILDREN aged 12-17 in a taxpayer-funded public library. What a way to start their summer vacation?

Delaware County District Library Director, George Needham, approved this vile adult-oriented “entertainment” disguised as a harmless information session. This program was to be held early in June despite objections from a growing number of Delaware and other Ohio residents and voters. A biological man who calls himself ‘Selena T. West’ would be instructing young people in the “fine art” of applying make-up and hair-styling, grooming them to experience drag queendom. Is this just another recruiting tool of the LGBT movement?

This program is symptomatic of a slow and steady drift of a culture given over to sexual depravity. This is a line that must not be crossed. There are those who are offended by this perversity and who rose up and resisted. On Wednesday they were heard, and this event was cancelled at the public library and moved to a more appropriate venue, a comic bookstore.

In California there is already a move to “normalize” pedophilia. Unfortunately, we live a day and an age where good is now considered to be evil and evil is now accepted and promoted as good, normal, natural, wholesome, legal and even compulsory (forcing the LGBT agenda on to kids from K-12.)

Signs of Concern, Storm Clouds Approaching Planned Parenthood?

I was late arriving Saturday morning for my weekly stint praying and protesting at the local Planned Parenthood abortion referral facility in Mansfield, Ohio.  My wristwatch had stopped working. Leaving, I was struck by the three new yard signs I notice posted along the entrance side of the Planned Parenthood building.

The way the local facility was constructed a decade or so ago, its main entrance is located at the very rear of the building far away from the main road. It has a driveway entering the building and separate drive exiting the building and a public alley in the rear. All parking and its entrance doors are located in the back of Planned Parenthood.  Any protestors stand on the street-side of the facility distant from the entrance.

For the first time three yard signs appeared along the building for clients driving into the rear parking lot to see.  The signs all read: 

Has anyone seen these signs at Planned Parenthood facilities anywhere else in Ohio or anywhere? Why the signs? 

Is Planned Parenthood fearful that the general public and even their clients or potential clients are catching on as to how really corrupt this organization really is and it's in danger of closing?

Is Planned Parenthood wanting to reassure its naïve and unsuspecting customers that it conducting business as usual despite what they may be hearing from various sources?

Is Planned Parenthood worried about being defunded, since more are more states are moving in that direction including Ohio?

Is Planned Parenthood concerned about a growing respect for life sweeping across much of the nation in response to the evil “birth” of an “legal” infanticide movement in New York, Virginia, East Coast and West Coasts?

For whatever reason these sign were posted, those of us who respect life from womb to tomb, and who hold to an exclusive and traditional view of marriage between real men and real women, we must continue and even ratchet up the pressure on this thoroughly disgusting, dishonest, death and depravity-driven organization. The goal is its demise!

U.S. House: Vote “NO” on the In-Equality Act, HR 5, let me count some of the reasons why!

"The In-Equality Act, HR 5, unfortunately, isn’t about equality at all. Rather, it’s about government-imposed ideology and unfairness…" (a)  What would the so-called, mislabeled "Equality Act" do?  What would be the intended and unintended consequences be?  This a very dangerous piece of legislation. 

(10.) It would lead to more parents losing custody of their children. In Cincinnati a female child was removed from her parents when they objected to her “transitioning” from female to male. (b)

(9.)   It makes changeable sexual conduct or behavior a special protected class, which was never intended to be part of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.  Race, Age, Disability and Sex (male or female) are IMMUTABLE characteristics, sexual behavior or identity are not. 

(8.)    It would discriminate against and penalize Americans who don’t affirm new sexual norms or gender ideology.

(7.)   It would shut down charities, such as adoption agencies, in violation of their traditional beliefs on marriage and family.  The AFA adds, “Adoption and foster care agencies will be forced to place children into same sex households and into homes of individuals suffering from gender confusion.”  (c)

(6.)   It would compel speech making it against the law to reject the fantasy that a biological man could become a woman with or without mutilating their bodies through reassignment surgery or hormone therapy.

(5.)   It would encourage public schools to further indoctrinate students into all sorts of sexual perversity against the will of parents.

(4.)   It would allow more biological males to compete in and defeat females in sporting events. (d) 

(3.)   It would make it easier for sexual assault to be committed against girls and women because the current bathroom policy of Target Stores allow biological men claiming to be women to use women’s rest rooms and dressing rooms would become the law of the land. The AFA adds, "Amusement parks, recreation centers, skating rinks, and daycare centers, etc. will be forced to employ people whose values on sexuality deviates from those of the employer." (c)

(2.)   It will reverse the long-standing religious liberty protections provided by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) of 1993 signed by President Clinton.

(1.)   It would be used to force medical professionals to violate their conscience. “Believe it or not, Democrats didn’t just expand the meaning of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”—they’ve also defined it to mean “pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition.” In other words, under the terms of this proposal, “pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition … shall not receive less favorable treatment than other physical conditions.”” In other words, this law would promote abortion.(e)

Breakthrough (2019) Movie Review

Breakthrough is the story of a mother’s worst nightmare, the very real prospect of losing her son as a result of his fall through the ice while fooling around with friends on a frozen lake. It is also involves some other breakthroughs.

Breakthrough is the story of a woman who lives with the regret of giving up her first-born son to adoption, earlier in her live. Now she is faced with the loss of her adopted son, who she loves.

This is a faith-based movie, a true account of miracle. The movie simultaneously has tragic and inspirational moments.

The movie also has some lighter scenes. Breakthrough gives an honest and realistic portrayal of modern-day life in America, imperfect people, interpersonal relationship conflicts, typical parent-child confrontation and annoyances, teenage rebellion and forgiveness.

One of the stars of the movie, the son, is an accomplished and somewhat obsessed high school basketball player.

There were other breakthroughs that occur during the movie. One involves the mother’s relationship with her husband, another involves the mother’s relationship with her pastor.

The movie’s audience at the early Saturday evening showing, which I attended, watched, for the most part, in rapt attention. They seemed to enjoy the movie; I didn’t notice anyone leaving their seats during the movie.

Upon leaving the movie, we saw a long line waiting to enter the theater rooms showing the new Avengers movie. I couldn’t help but think that all these folks picked the wrong movie to view that night.

I would recommend Breakthrough for all audiences, except maybe not for small children.

Pilgrim’s Progress (2019), A 400 Year Journey

This afternoon I watched my first animated movie ever. I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I’m not much for cartoons or animation. But this movie, Pilgrim’s Progress, was surprisingly very well done and captivating. 

It was one of those Fathom Event movies with a very limited engagement in theaters. It showed in theaters only twice, last Thursday and today, Saturday. But it will likely be out soon on DVD. It would be a worthwhile movie to rent, purchase or watch when it comes to a venue or church near you.

John Bunyan in the late 1600’s wrote this enthralling tale while sitting in jail. His book became, next to the Bible, the best-selling Christian book of all time. Unfortunately, I never read book version of his book.  However, I think I got the message of the book quite well from the movie.

What an interesting story. The main character was named Christian. The story was an allegory. The movie portrayed Christian’s journey from his home in the City of Destruction (the world) to the Celestial City (heaven), his future home.

Along the way he becomes a Christ-follower, a true Christian and the heavy burden he had been carrying (his sins) for part of his journey was lifted. He faced trials and difficulties, nevertheless, both before and after he became a Christ-follower.

As many true Christians living in the world today find, life is an adventure, with many ups and downs, challenges all along the way. We are all tempted. Evil and demonic forces raise their ugly heads both obviously and subtlety. We all experience some wrong turns or decisions, distractions and barriers along life journey.

The main point of the story for me is the importance of keeping our eye on the ultimate goal being with King Jesus in heaven and seeking the help He provides along the way.

Interestingly, this morning I attended the 31st annual Resurrection Breakfast in Mansfield, Ohio (a friend gave me a ticket because he was going out of town)which featured a speaker whose message dealt with how we should deal with our problems, needs and fears that plague us.

His four-step approach included: (1) Taking our problems, needs, fears (burdens) to God and focusing on Him for solutions. (2) How we do this is through very specific prayers. (3) As well as by memorizing key scriptures, especially those that admonish us not to be afraid, such as perfect love casts out fears, etc. (4.) We should also fight our fear and humble ourselves asking others to pray for us. 

Like Christian in the Pilgrim’s Progress movie, who focused on getting to the Celestial City and being with the King (Jesus).  Christian also needed help from others along the way and God provided him timely assistance.

Unplanned (2019), Coming Face-to-Face with the Abortion Reality

The Unplanned (2019) movie continues in theaters around the country. In the Mansfield, Ohio area, for example, Unplanned is playing in its fourth week. If you haven’t seen Unplanned or if you are hesitant about seeing it, don’t be! There is much to learn about the abortion issue in this film, no matter what side of the abortion debate you are currently on, pro- or anti-abortion.

The panel discussed the movie Unplanned, abortion, the highly criticized Planned Parenthood and Kermit Gosnell, the convicted and incarcerated abortionist and criminal.

Besides an intense and thorough discussion on Unplanned, there were comments on the podcast about two additional movies, one another feature film, Gosnell, The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer, and the other a related documentary, 3801 Lancaster, An American Tragedy, which explored more of the insidious Gosnell story.

When all is said and done the movie opens the door wide for a behind the scenes look into the local abortion provider operation and exposes the depth of deceit, destruction and depravity that occurs there on a day-by-day basis. And this is all done in the name of “Choice,” and “Women’s Reproductive Rights” and “Equality."

The movie is primary about a 10-year period in the life of Abby Johnson. She grew from a naïve college student to a pro-life activist by means of a stint as an executive director of one of Planned Parenthood's abortion facilities. It is a true and remarkable story.

Although I do not agree with neither the movie's nor the radio's panel's inaccurate portrayal of all abolitionists, those who show photos of aborted babies, overall the movie was great in that it provided a behind-the-curtain look at the stark reality of the horrific, inhumane and bloodthirsty industry.

Instead of the R-rating that was given to this movie, I would rate it "must-see" for every adult and teenager.

TPS60: Unplanned — The Movie

Ending Abortion is a Cause Worth Fighting For!

A group of defenders of the sanctify of human life in Mansfield, Ohio and surrounding areas last Thursday, April 11, 2019, just completed a 6-day campaign in front of a PlannedParenthood affiliate near downtown Mansfield.

We followed the 40 Days for Life model somewhat. The national 40 Days for Life campaigns are held twice a year in the spring and the fall. While the actual 40 Days for Life Campaign is conducted for 40 consecutive days, we only covered the hours that the local facility is opened (8:00am – 6:00pm) on six consecutive Thursdays. We managed to have someone present each hour for six Thursdays.

The highlight of our mini-campaign for me was when, ironically, a pregnant couple stopped to talk to us. It is not that unusual to have people walk by and either greet, ignore or condemn us. However, this couple was extremely happy. They stopped by Denny, who had a “Dads for Life” sign, and talked to us. The father couldn’t stop smiling in reaction to that particular sign, after all he was a new dad! 

The couple apparently had just been to the doctor’s office, because the mother proudly displayed her ultrasound pictures.

What a beautiful and refreshing contrast to the mostly malicious and devious misinformation, counsel and services provided inside of the typical Planned Parenthood facility.

The biggest or the “Mother of all Lies,” told by Planned Parenthood staff as confirmed and shown in the insightful and dramatic Unplanned (2019) movie (see also the movie's Facebook page), which is currently in theaters, is that the baby that mothers carry are “Not a Baby.” They deny scientific reality to make a sale.

Additionally, although Planned Parenthood employs ultrasound machines, most of the time they do not show those pictures to the mother. They typically use ultrasounds to determine how far along the pregnancy is and for use in the actual abortion procedure, which was also depicted in the Unplanned movie.

Other highlights were the young man who stopped and heard the gospel from Pastor Kerby and prayed to receive Jesus as his savior. Two homeschool families joined us over a lunch hour and the 4-year old boy counted 90+ honks from vehicles passing by during the hour he was present. Several people stopped to join us when they saw what we were doing and took signs and stood with us.

Run the Race, Movie (2019)

Just watched the former college football star and professional football and baseball player and Christian role-model Tim Tebow produced movie, Run the Race today. The movie premiered last Friday with over $2 million in box office receipts after the first weekend. It is currently showing in theaters this week.

Race to Run is PG-rated, faith-based and is a sports-themed movie.  It centers on two high school brothers, David and Zach, who are living on their own after their mother died and their father, Michael, abandoned them.

The story revolves around high school football (of course) and track.  The two brothers are both hard-working athletes who are intent on getting out their small poor rural Southern community. Both are football players.  Dave had a serious head injury earlier and he is one of the team’s managers. Zach is the star quarterback of his high school football team.

The acting is very good and believable.  It is a story of dealing with the ups and downs of life, with forgiveness, dedication, love and hope.

It is a wholesome movie, in contrast with what is being produced by Hollywood today.  It is a fast-paced movie with interesting plot twists and turns.  It is entertaining as well as uplifting.

The movie could be summarized with this one verse:

"I have fought well. I have finished the race, and I have been faithful."  ~ 2 Timothy 4:7

I would recommend the movie and give it 5 of 5 stars *****.

Our President Needs Our Prayers Now! Please Pray Today!

Today, a Facebook friend sent me this Next News Network video, which contains a prayer for our President. It is from a year ago, however, it is as pertinent or more so today, as it was then.  If you feel so moved, I urge you to pray this prayer today and to share it with your family and friends:

“Heavenly Father, Your servant, our President, Donald J. Trump is under attack like we’ve never seen before. 

“LORD, today we come before You to ask that the armies of heaven, that You dispatch them to do battle against the demons, for trying to destroy Your servant, our President, Donald J. Trump.

“LORD, it says in Your word that where two or three are gathered in Your name and pray according to Your will, it will be done. Today…we ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon this nation and heal this land so that this President can do the work that we have asked him to do.  

“LORD, he is under attack at every single turn, the Russian investigation, accusations to racism [and the Washington, D.C. Swamp, the #FakeNews Media, #NeverTrumpers Republicans, etc.]. But we know You have called him forward for such a time as this. He is not a perfect man, none of us are. We are all sinners, I am a sinner. But it through Your grace and mercy and work on the cross that gives us salvation from our carnal nature. 

“LORD, I am calling down the blood of Jesus to cover our President and all who are fighting with him.  No weapon formed against Him will prosper. The fiery darts of the enemy will crumble at his feet.

“LORD, You know this, that those who would work to destroy this nation - the globalist, the socialist, the communists, and the liberals - they have mounted a force to take him down. So that Satan’s agenda for this country and the world would be complete. 

“LORD, America is the last beacon of hope in the world. The devil wants to destroy it and bring it under his reign subject to the global order so that his son, the antichrist, may rise up and reveal himself and enslave the world.   

“LORD, I know that it is written that these day will arrive and there is nothing to prevent the written word of Your prophecies  

“LORD, we ask that You extend the grace period, so that more souls can be won for heaven before the day of judgement arrives.

“LORD, our hearts cry out in Your name, please hear our prayer and strike down our foes so that love will prevail again in this land. Strike down the agents of Satan who have corrupted the hearts of our enemy. Soften them, LORD, soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your plan for our nation that our President, Donald J. Trump, is working to fulfill.

"The Least of These, the Graham Staines Story" Movie (2019)

Last Saturday afternoon I made a point to watch the new faith-based movie about Graham Staines.  I followed the story years ago and was anxious to see how his story was portrayed on the screen.  This movie is based on the true story of a modern day martyr, missionary, and mate from down under.  

Stephen Baldwin portrays Graham Staines.  I have seen Stephen Baldwin in a few other movies, UnMiracle (2107) and God's Club (2015). The Indian actor, who portrays a reporter and Staines' antagonist, does a great job of acting as well. 

"The Least of These, The Graham Staines Story," gives a glimpse of the life of a missionary in India. Graham Staines spent 35 years on the mission field as a medical missionary treating the lowest of the low, lepers. A wife, a daughter and two young soccer playing sons accompany Staines on the field and share his work.  

Something that stood out to me about the movie was that it clearly shows how diabolical the media can be.  Misreporting, maligning and manipulating the news is not merely a U.S. phenomena.  Watch the movie and see the impact of the media.

Also, Christian persecution is not the exclusive domain of radical Muslims.  The movie also brought out the viciousness of radical Hinduism.  I don't think most people realize that Hindus and Buddhists and other lesser known religions also persecute Christians across the world. 

I found the movie to be slow moving in parts, but overall it did get its message of selfless service, love for God, family and others across very well.

I would recommend this movie, for its educational, spiritual and entertainment value.
