But, the Chain of Life won’t make your obligation complete.
For other days you close your heart and let the babies die!

You’re very busy building your church and trying to multiply.
The pews are padded and there's a plush carpeted floor.
It makes no difference the name hanging over your church door.
Your heart is on attendance and offering--while the babies die!

You have conferences with power-points about the sweet by-and-by.
There are trips, concerts, plays, and lots of covered dish dinners.
You have a hi-tech sound system and sports teams of winners.
People are pleased at all of the church fun--while the babies die!

John Freshwater Supporters Rallied Sunday

(Mount Vernon, Ohio) Hundreds of Mount Vernon’s citizens showed up at the Public Square on a chilly, windy, and sunny Sunday afternoon for a prayer rally to support science teacher John Freshwater. The Mount Vernon Square is a large circular park in the heart of the town. Much of the square was filled with supporters, both from Mount Vernon and from other Ohio locations. The rally included singing, speaking and prayer.

Mr. Freshwater has been a teacher for 21 years in the Mount Vernon City School District. Last year he received an award as Teacher of the Year, but he has been targeted for his Christian faith by the Mt. Vernon City School Board, which is now being advised by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Mr. Freshwater was informed by the school board that he must remove from his desk his personal Bible that he has had sitting there for 21 years. Mr. Freshwater did comply with a number of other demands by the school board, but said that his own personal Bible is off-limits, and that the school board has no right dictating to him or any other teacher this kind of demand. Freshwater is currently being investigated and monitored while an assessment is being made of his future in the Mount Vernon school system.

Bob Burney, a Columbus area minister and WFRD radio talk show host served as the master of ceremonies. Speakers included Reverend Dan Whisner of the Church at Chapel Hill and Ohio Legislative Watch, Reverend Donald Matolyak, Pastor of Trinity Worship Center (John Freshwater’s church), Ohio State Congressman Thom Collier spoke, and John Freshwater, present and on “stage – a flat bed truck” with his wife and three children. Closing the meeting was Chris Long, Executive Director of the Ohio Christian Alliance, based in Akron, Ohio.

Steve Townsend, a local citizen and father, whose three children have been or are being taught by John Freshwater, spoke for a few minutes. His youngest daughter is in his class this year and has been inspired by how he encourages kids to be their best. His son is now a teacher in middle school. His son has testified as to Mr. Freshwater’s commitment to the student and a consistent encouragement to his fellow peers. He ended by saying, “I leave you with this, our students are safe with John Freshwater.”

Bob Burney related that despite this adversity, God is using it for His glory. He said that the fact that nearly 2/3 of the student body brought bibles to school a couple of weeks ago in support of Mr. Freshwater. In addition, the fact that hundreds of people showed up in support of Mr. Freshwater filling the Public Square singing "How Great Thou Art" shows that God can use even the worst of situations.

Thom Collier, Ohio State House Representative for the 90th District, which encompasses Mount Vernon shared why he was at the rally. He said that he was at the rally because he shares a view from a unique perspective as a public official, a public figure, a believer in Christ. He wanted to share a little of the big picture. He said, “Because I believe when the smoke clears, the investigations are complete, we will still have one major question that lingers before us in the community and as a society. Can a teacher have a Bible, or a Koran for that matter, on the corner of their desk? And for the record, yes, I have a Bible on the corner of my desk in the (Ohio) State House. ” He raised his Bible in his right hand, like Charlton Heston did his rifle at the NRA convention, and said, “Out of my cold dead hands.”

Freshwater spoke of his mission trip to China, to the area of China that was recently hit by that devastating earthquake. His youngest daughter, Jordan, was only two years old at the time. Mr. Freshwater recalled how sitting on his shoulders Jordan sang the B.I.B.L.E. song for the Chinese church audiences, who requested the song at church meetings. The crowd joined Jordan in singing the children's favorite:

Closing the meeting was Chris Long, Executive Director of the Ohio Christian Alliance, based in Akron, Ohio. His organization also supports the stand Freshwater has taken.

As Kansas’ Attorney General Phill Kline demonstrated the very best qualities and character expected of any Attorney General, unlike the recent shameful selfish antics that lead to the disgraced resignations of New York AG Eliot Spitzer and Ohio AG Marc Dann.

Phill Kline was voted out of office being the target of a well-funded and effective smear campaign by a mainstream media in cahoots with the billion-dollar piranha, Planned (actually preventing) Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). Kline is an honorable man, a man who wants to do the right thing. The right thing is seeking the conviction of law breakers Planned Parenthood and Dr. George Tiller. However, both PPFA and Dr. Tiller have friends and comrades in high places in Kansas including in the judicial system They are making a mockery of and making the pursuit of justice extremely difficult for the caring champion of the unborn child. Phill Kline is a hero, a defender of the most vulnerable in our land.

I received an email the other day from Karl Priest (KC) with some timely words for today, which he graciously allowed me to reproduce here, but with the following disclaimer, “Here are just thoughts that hit me during my morning Bible reading (this past Friday). I make no claims of expertise.”

In referring to an earlier email which KC had sent just prior to the China quake, he expressed a hope that his readers took note of the list of the recent dozens of earthquakes he had outlined. That list is reproduced below.

Several weeks ago I posted something about the many headlines during the past month about astronomical occurrences, alignments, etc.

"lso, in verse 25 Jesus talks about "the sea and the waves roaring". New Orleans, Myanmar, and the Indian Ocean tsunami came to mind.

"I don't read Hal Lindsey, Jack Van Impe, or any other expert on prophecy. I don't have a problem with them, but all I need is my Bible (KJV by the way) and Internet news sources. I do not set dates, but I do think Luke 21:30-31 [When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.] is pertinent.

"The increase of knowledge, people running to and fro, the threat posed by Russia, the amount of Chinese troops, and the very real likelihood that Jerusalem will soon be surrounded by hostile armies in attack mode are happening now. Combine those, and many more, including the ability for everyone in the world to view an event that happens anywhere in the world and we have reached a period in history where that (IMHO) cannot be "improved" upon in the future.

Obama brushes off reporter with "later, 'sweetie'”

First, there were the rural unemployed religious white hicks in Pennsylvania, Now Barack Hussein Obama uses a chauvinistic pejorative with a female reporter in Detroit, Michigan. President Bush comments on Islamic-terrorists

While visiting Israel in celebration of her 60th anniversary as a nation, President Bush spoke the following truth.

“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals,

as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' These remarks apparently outraged many radical leftists and socialists in the United States. Why? Because, they apparently are either blind to the truth, hate the truth, or cannot handle the truth.

The President's words apparently struck a nerve in the two overly sensitive Democrat candidates, especially Senator Barack Hussein Obama. Hey, Senator, it is not all about you. Did the President mention your name? Why do you want to politicize his remarks?

Since he brought it up, let us talk about Obama's position on Islamic terrorism. Obama, who is one of the leading radical leftist and apparent Democratic Party nominee for President, the great orator who says virtually nothing, the rookie Senator Barack Hussein Obama is deluded if he thinks he can sit down with the perpetrators and supporters of worldwide Islamic terrorism. The President was just making a statement of fact. In the world of Obama, which is a virtual fantasy land of an idyllic global socialist utopia - where we all are united, live in peace, we all hold hands, we appease our enemies, where we bankrupt our resources, - we are all to worship an all-knowing, all-powerful almighty government. This is the Obama hope, the change he constantly prescribes and interjects into his hollow messages replete with empty promises. Personally, I don't want a ticket to his virtual or real fantasy land.

Based on his voting record, his gross inexperience, his associations, his naiveté, his liberal, socialist, potential appeaser, Marxist philosophy, platform, policies, and agenda, Obama is as big a terrorist domestically as Osama is on the foreign front. America faces two enemies now and in November.

Gone Green: McCain is a hybrid

John McCain either ignorantly or deliberately (to garner the support of moderate voters) has apparently bought into the global warming hoax. By doing so he may have revealed his own true color - global green. One thing we can be sure of is that the next President will perpetuate the global warming myth and an environmental extremism philosophy.

Ben Stein's Comments

This post is in response to an article that was written by GregJaye on Friday.

The videos and the movie (Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed) make excellent points about the absurdity of naturalism and the unfairness of the situation in the public institutions in our country. Another very good point I agree with is that what courts say is not necessarily true and we should not take it as such. (The same goes for the President, the Congress, etc.) However, I have three points of disagreement with Mr. Stein:

Stein falsely quotes the Constitution when he said, “we are guaranteed no established religion.” The Constitution only forbids that “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion.” State governments are well within their rights to have established religions and the first amendment in fact forbids Congress from passing laws which would interfere with this right. Several of the original colonies had established religions (Maryland was the Catholic colony, Virginia was the Anglican Church colony, Massachusetts was the Puritan colony, etc.) and these continued after the drafting of the Constitution in 1787. There is certainly nothing unconstitutional (but see my next point) with (states) having an “established religion”. The real point is that naturalism is a dangerous and false religious belief.

Secondly, Stein seems to erroneously claim that ID advocates are forbidden from teaching their beliefs. This simply isn’t true. That they may be expelled from institutions because of their beliefs is not a violation of any constitutional or God-given right. They can still continue their intellectual pursuits with another institution, such as Answers in Genesis. But these organizations are not funded by taxpayer’s money as the state institutions are. So the real issue is not “freedom of speech” or “academic freedom”, but it is a money issue. It is not right to force people to pay for the propagation of any set of teachings, except what God has ordained. The right to keep one’s own property (including all of ones’ wages) is an absolute right. If we reject this idea at any point other than what God directs, then the commandment “Thou shalt not steal” no longer means anything. It doesn’t matter how many cures of diseases that are found by the state institutions, or how many deaths are prevented by such discoveries. Private institutions are more efficient and probably would have found all of these cures anyway, but even if they wouldn’t have, theft by the government is wrong and the ends do not justify the means. Governments are established by God and He has made provision that governments do have the right to use taxpayer’s money to punish evildoers (Romans 13:1-7). It is also reasonable that governments can take money that citizens pay voluntarily in exchange for services (i.e. gas taxes for building and maintaining roads and postage for mail), but even this should be limited as much as possible. I do not advocate taxpayer’s money being used to fund ID “indoctrination”, but it shouldn’t be used to fund the teaching of naturalism either.

Thirdly, the comparison of the Heliocentrists (people who believed that the earth revolves around the Sun like Galileo) to the ID (Intelligent Design) advocates of today is a poor one. Psalm 93:1, Isaiah 14:7 and many other passages clearly teach that the earth does not move (and therefore does not rotate or revolve around the Sun). There is no real scientific evidence that contradicts geocentricity, and this is a largely philosophical, as opposed to a scientific topic. The rejection of an earth-centered universe has lead to the decline of the idea that the earth has a special place in the universe and that Christ’s coming to earth and dying is a special event. Like those who try to believe in both evolution and the Bible, one must water-down the scriptures in order to accept both Copernicanism and the Bible.

Ohio Ponders the Homosexual Special Rights Bill

Citizens for Community Values (CCV) issued an important press release today. I highlighted what I feel are key thoughts as I read the press release tonight.

Columbus, OH - On the day when homosexual activists and their allies are descending on the state's capitol to lobby for their top legislative project, a coalition of pro-family groups today delivered their own message to the Ohio General Assembly: "Don't pass this over-reaching and unconstitutional homosexual special rights bill."

The joint letter and policy paper outline the concerns that the pending legislation would take away constitutional rights of businesses and citizens of Ohio, thereby infringing on their ability to thrive and exercise freedoms previously granted to them under the constitution.

Senate Bill 305, which is currently before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Civil Justice, creates a new civil rights class based on someone's "sexual orientation" and adds it to virtually every anti-discrimination law in Ohio's Revised Code, making it one of the nation's most expansive and far-reaching laws of its kind.

One of the groups that testified yesterday against the bill, Citizens for Community Values (CCV), says all the hype behind the bill is bogus. "The claims that passage of this bill somehow advances civil rights and is good for business in Ohio are quite different than what has actually been experienced in other places where laws like this exist," said David Miller, CCV's Vice President for Public Policy. "Civil and constitutional rights are actually infringed upon, not expanded, and businesses are hurt when we attempt to use someone's personal sexual expression as a basis for our laws."

Miller and other opponents of the bill speaking before the Senate Committee identified numerous problems with adding sexual expression as a new civil rights class. Among the examples noted were businesses and individuals who have been heavily penalized for attempting to establish workplace standards for behavior or for exercising the tenets of their religious faith.

Other specific issues raised came directly from court cases pointing out that "sexual orientation" does not qualify someone for civil rights class status.

"Lawmakers shouldn't be bullied by guilt and intimidation antics of homosexual activists," says Barry Sheets, Director of Governmental Affairs for CCV. "Failure to pass this bill is not granting permission to discriminate, as its proponents claim. To the contrary, passage of this bill would be discrimination against employers, property owners, and the majority of Ohioans, stripping them of their basic constitutional right to make decisions based on their deeply held religious convictions and common sense."

Following in the failed footsteps of another corrupt Democrat, New York Attorney General, Eliot Spitzer, Marc Dann resigned late this afternoon. The Columbus Dispatch newspaper's headline this morning cried out, “Dann denied an exit deal.” Dann must of heard that call loud and clear. The following is an excerpt from the text of the resignation speech given this afternoon a few hours ago by Marc Dann, now the former Attorney General of Ohio. What I included in parenthesis and in capital letters are words that Dann left unsaid in his resignation statement. Matt Patrick, talk show host on WHLO radio in Akron, posted an audio file of Dann’s resignation speech.

“A few days I came before you (THINKING I COULD MAKE THIS SITUATION GO AWAY IF I REFUSED TO DEAL WITH IT AS I SHOULD HAVE) to (MERELY) admit my mistakes (ONLY ONCE IT BECAME KNOWN THAT IT – ONCE I GOT CAUGHT), to take responsibility (THINKING I COULD FOOL YOU STUPID MASSES BY MOUTHING THESE PLATITUDES) and to announce steps is (DISTRACTING AND) giving the Office of Attorney General an administrative backbone (NOT SURE WHAT I MEANT HERE BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUS THAT I HAVE NO BACKBONE WHEN IT COMES ON DOING THE RIGHT THING OF MY OWN VOLITION DUE TO LACK OF PERSONAL INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER) worthy of the great legal work we were doing in the Office . . .

Ohio and its people are better off without Marc Dann. Dann is proof that the Democrats are no different from the Ohio Republicans, who when they gain power are even more corrupt than anything the GOP did. Governor Bob Taft looks like an innocent choir boy compared to the wrong perpetrated by Attorney General Dann. Ironically Dann was swept into statewide office with a lot of other Democrats on the basis of bringing clean government. Today he was put out with the trash . . .

Ohio’s Sexual DISorientation Bill

This bill is an example of the kind of law that will silence free expression of religion and faith. We must not allow this bill or any like it to become law. I obtained the following definition and the bill summary online from the Ohio Legislature. The added emphasis in the text (underscored and bold) is mine. I add a few comments and issue a call to action to all who believe as I do that this bill is harmful, needless and wrong. The Freedom's Right blog has a good summary of the specific provisions of this terrible law.

KEY DEFINITION

The bill adds sexual orientation to the covered characteristics that can be the basis for unlawful discriminatory practices under the prohibitions of the existing (Ohio Civil Rights Commission) Law . . .

BILL SUMMARY

· Prohibits discriminatory practices on the basis of "sexual orientation," which the bill defines as "heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, or transgenderism, whether actual or perceived," under many of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) Law's existing prohibitions against various unlawful discriminatory practices (in employment and employment-related membership situations, in making the full enjoyment of places of public accommodation available to the public, in transactions involving housing accommodations, in the extension of credit, in reporting credit information, and in educational institutions' treatment of individuals with disability) on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, familial status, marital status, national origin, ancestry, or disability ("covered characteristics").

· Provides that the Ohio Civil Rights Commission must exercise certain of its existing powers and duties also with respect to discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

· Provides that nothing in the OCRC Law's provisions that govern Commission hearings on alleged unlawful discriminatory practices may be construed to authorize or require any person to observe the proportion that persons of any sexual orientation or persons of any of current law's covered characteristics bear to the total population or in accordance with any criterion other than the individual qualifications of an applicant for employment or membership.

· Adds sexual orientation to the list of covered characteristics that are specified in various provisions of current law (14 Revised Code sections) that prohibit persons or entities from discriminating on the basis of most of the covered characteristics.

· Adds sexual orientation to the list of covered characteristics that are specified in various provisions of current law (24 Revised Code sections) that require certain functions or duties to be performed without discrimination, require certain documents to include statements pertaining to nondiscrimination, or pertain to discrimination on the basis of most of the covered characteristics.

COMMENT

The Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee on Civil Justice, chaired by Ohio State Senator David Goodman, is meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.) to discuss this unnecessary and even dangerous bill.

This bill is a farce. First of all there are only two genders, male and female. Homosexuality and the other so-called “sexual orientations” are really sexual perversions. Several members in the Ohio Senate want to codify these immoral, unnatural, abnormal and unhealthy practices. The law seeks to legitimize perversion. Being a homosexual, bi-sexual, asexual and transgendered are primarily behavioral choices and behavior should not be a protected civil right any more than any other behavioral choice would be.

People are free to choose to live this way, but we should not sanction and approve that behavior. These individuals are already protected by laws already on the books and to grant them special status is wrong. What makes these sexual disoriented any more deserving of special treatment or privileges than defenseless elderly or helpless children?

All this law will be is a windfall for ACLU lawyers representing those who will claim discrimination for any "real" or "perceived" discrimination. Our courts are already inundated with frivolous lawsuits. Ohio's economy is suffering and these laws will cause businesses to leave Ohio or to think twice about setting up business in Ohio.

TAKE ACTION

Please contact the members of the Ohio Senate’s Judiciary Committee on Civil Justice as soon as possible and urge them not to proceed with this bill.

A Politically Correct Foriegn Policy?

How Do You Say "Islamic-Terrorist" in PC-Speak?

According to an AP story titled, “'Jihadist' booted from government lexicon”, written by Matthew Lee on 4/24/08, the Bush Administration and our government has seemingly assumed a politically correct foreign policy posture. Lee’s article discussed a new Homeland Security report entitled, "Terminology to define the terrorists: recommendations from American Muslims." This report is the basis on which the U.S. State Department and the Department of Homeland Security among other Federal Agencies are advising their staff as to what language and phraseology to use and which to not used in discussing Islamo-terrorism officially or in public.

Lee's article also mentions “another document, an internal "official use only" memorandum circulating through Washington entitled "Words that Work and Words that Don't: A Guide for Counterterrorism Communication." The memo, originally prepared in March by the Extremist Messaging Branch at the National Counter Terrorism Center, was approved for diplomatic use this week by the State Department, which plans to distribute a version to all U.S. embassies . . .”

NEWLY BANNED FOUR LETTER WORDS

Between the two reports mentioned previously, here are some of the words no longer in vogue or no longer to be used when referring to our enemies, the Islamic terrorists, including the Osama Bin Laden Al Queda gang bangers.

*** “Mujahedeen"
*** "Islamo-fascism"
*** “Islamist”
*** "Islamo-terrorism"
*** “Holy warrior”

Why would these words be removed from official diplomatic language? Ostensibly, the reports say that these words might give credibility to the actions of the Islamo-terrorists and might increase support among the Arab populace in the Middle East. What? Those folks already hate us. No mere words will make one iota of difference. The only thing that the Jihadists understand is a bullet or a bomb. Yet, Presidential want-to-be Senator Barack Hussein Obama wants to "negotiate" and "play nice" with this rascals.

Another flimsy reason given for not using those words is that they might offend Muslims. Moderate Muslims by their deafening silence of protest against anything the Islamo-terrorists do, do not care about America. Why should we care about “offending” them. What about the offensive behavior of Muslims in the United States? What about their hateful rhetoric their clerics spew in the mosques of American. Most mosques are sanctuaries for rabble rousing. What about their support for Hamas and Hezbollah? They raise support for the foreign terrorists.

It is political correctness and our stupid obsession with not wanting to “offend” anyone except America, Americans, Jesus Christ, God, Christians and the Christian faith. The bureaucrats and political hacks should be stopped and/or expunged their cushy government jobs.

APPROVED TERMINOLOGY

Words such as “violent terrorists” and “terrorists” should be used in lieu of tying the words to Islam in any way. I also heard on a radio show that another approved description for these Islamic-terrorists was "South Asian youth". I think that this was first coined by the French. It sounds like placation or appeasement.

I disagree with any use of this refined terminology. Islam by its very nature is extreme and is a political movement, whose end is subjugation of all peoples under Sharia Law and its religious mandates. Islam is as much an enemy as Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda draws its inspiration and its guidance from the Koran. No, Islam should not be segregated from terrorism. They go together like love and marriage used to, or like a horse and carriage used to. The two fit hand in glove. We have one because of the other. Most terrorism happening in the world today is of the Islamic kind.

“RECOMMENDATIONS OF AMERICAN MUSLIMS”


Part of the title of the Homeland Security report mentioned above uses the phrase “Recommendation of American Muslims.” I heard a radio show where one of the guests who was very familiar with Islam and Islamo-fascism indicated that C.A.I.R. was one of the contributors to the recommendations. This is unbelievable. It is like expecting the fox to offer suggestions to protect the chickens. The Council for American-Islamic Relations (C.A.I.R.) is more pro-Islamic-terrorist than they are pro-American. C.A.I.R. supports terrorists in foreign lands. I believe that C.A.I.R. and groups like it are Trojan Horses, which has only the ultimate destruction of America in mind.

The 545 who ARE accountable

T.D. sent me the article reproduced below. I believe that this article has to be at least 25 years old. It has been circulating in cyberspace for a long time. A former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper, Charley Reese, wrote the article. I took the liberty to update the article for 2008. I capitalized and used red letters where I changed the wording. The bold letters are mine, which I used for emphasis. If you would like to see the original you can find it in numerous places on the Internet.

There is so much truth in Mr. Reese’s words, that they may be even more meaningful today, especially in light of the sorry American political scene, which is a veritable nightmare. In the less than spectacular race for President that will insure less than optimal leadership the next four years, we have two radical leftist-socialists vying for the Democratic nomination against an aged, cantankerous, miserable moderate Republican-in-name-only (RINO). No choice really.

The 545 People Responsible for All of U.S. Woes

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against AN ECONOMIC DOWNTURN and high taxes, we have AN ECONOMIC DOWNTURN and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy. Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 330 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I excluded all but the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislation's responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY

Don't you see how the con game that is played on the people by the politicians? Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of NANCY PELOSI, who stood up and criticized GEORGE W. BUSH for creating deficits AND RAILING AGAINST THE WAR ON TERROR AT EVERY TURN.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating appropriations and taxes.

PELOSI is the speaker of the House. SHE is the leader of the majority party. SHE and HER fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto.

REPLACE SCOUNDRELS

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 330 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can't think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the MILITARY IS in IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, it's because they want them in IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.

There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take it.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation" or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone are responsible. They and they alone have the power. They and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided they have the gumption to manage their own employees.

Let us consider carefully the words of Mr. Reese as we prepare to go into the election booth in November. There are a lot of people who need to be let go from their jobs. Let us get rid of those who only want to blame others for what they have done. The approval ratings for both the current President and the current Congressional members are at all time lows and really do justify a wholesale purge.

Is Senator Obama a slow learner, or what?

The quote below is from a recent Ann Coulter commentary about Senator and Presidential want-to-be but highly inexperienced Barack Hussein Obama and his on and now off relationship with Jeremiah “I call it wrong all day long” Wright.

“If it takes Obama 20 years to notice that his pastor is a traitorous, racist nut-job, it will probably take him his full term of office to realize that the U.S. has been invaded and subdued by al-Qaeda. Let's just hope President Obama pays closer attention during national security briefings than he did during 20 years of the Rev. Wright's church services.”

President Bush, if nothing else, has made us clearly aware that our enemy is Islamo-terrorism, which takes literally and practices the tenets of the Koran. We are at war with Islam. It is definitely NOT a religion of peace. It is a political philosophy every bit as dangerous and deadly as communism. Great amounts of wealth are being channelled in a massive global public relations effort to sell Islam as something that it isn't - just another way to heaven. Wrong.

Unlike Christianity, which offers true peace - peace with God, Islam offers the sword. Islam says you will convert or die physically. Christianity warns about the absolute necessity of belief in Jesus Christ in order to avoid spiritual death -eternal separation from the true God.

In one sense President Bush did accomplish making us aware and sensitive to the peril we face in the Islamo-terrorist movement. He did something about this heinous assault on freedom, where his predecessor, President Clinton, just played around in the White House while ignoring the threat.
