Solace in the Soledad Cross Victory

Yesterday President Bush signed a law transfering ownership and responsibility for the controversial Korean War Memorial, which is the home of the Soledad Cross, from the San Diego City government to the Federal government.

This blog posted an article in early July about this affront to religious freedom and encouraged action by providing a link to petition the President's intervention. Maybe the President and Congress heard us. We need to do much more of this type of political action. The forces for right and morality must be heard. The liberal left has had the floor much too long. We must take the initiative and get the momentum and gain the ultimate victory. America can and will be restored.

We would be making A Good Choice if all of us were to do something to move America in the right direction - back to the future - moving to the future standing on traditional American values and principles, which were provided us by our Founding Fathers at the conception of this nation.

  1. I would hardly call having the federal government take away the cross from the people of San Diego a victory. A victory would be if the people of San Diego would decide whether or not they want the cross, and for them to retain possession of it.

  2. Hi Matt -

Thanks for your comments. In regard to the San Diego Cross, it was about to be removed. It was only after the Supreme Court put a halt to a possible $5,000 a day fine for non-compliance that the US Congress stepped it. Without Congress & the Presidents signature the cross may have been torn down. The people of San Diego had been fighting for 17 years and were about to lose the battle - this is more symboloic of the attack on religious freedom by one atheist and the ungodly, un-American, evil ACLU.
