Obama Wants World Oil Bank

Skip to about 21:22-22:50 of this video and you hear Obama say that he wants to create a “World Oil Bank” so that all the oil in the world will belong to an international institution which would decide who could use it and when. He using fear (of nuclear weapons) as means of justifying this. If we let any nation (such as Iran) have all the oil they want for free, then they will no longer have aspirations of developing nuclear power. (As if Iran didn't have sufficient oil reserves already!) Yeah right, B.O.

"Sex Discrimination"

Dear Senator:

I am writing this in regards to S.424, The Uniting American Families Act, and in particular section 20. It seems unthinkable to me to add the term "permanent partner" to immigration law. It is easy to see that the intent of this bill is to allow same-sex partners equal status as married couples in regards to resident status.

First of all, by including same-sex partners, this encourages unhealthy, immoral behavior that is condemned by every major religion on the face of the earth.

Secondly, "permanent partner" is an inherently ill-defined term. What if people who aren't really "partners" (either same or different sex) say that they are just so that they can get visas, etc.? What are you going to do, watch them while they...? Do they have to sign an affidavit saying that they had sex a certain number of times and plan to continue to do it with certain frequency upon immigrating to the U.S.? For the first time ever, your voter eligibility may be determined by how much SEX you’ve had! This gives new meaning to the term "sex discrimination".

What about people with multiple partners? Just what kind of “families” can be united under this bill? What if a potential immigrant was having sex with a horse and it wandered across the border?

We should do one of the following instead:

1. Either let anybody immigrate to the U.S. for any reason as long as they pass a criminal background check, don’t have any serious communicable diseases, and learn the English language and the Constitution.

2. Don’t let anybody immigrate to the U.S. for any reason.

Whether we chose 1) or 2) should depend on whether we stop being a welfare state and if we have morons in charge at the INS.

I found this posted on Daily Paul, a pro-Ron Paul blog. I will comment on it and also one comment that was made about it:

In all fairness to the border agents, the 4409 guys did seem a little more interested in starting a direct confrontation with them, rather than getting their message to the passing motorists.

There was a simple solution that wouldn't have required all of them to walk through the checkpoint area. Have most of the people park in the designated parking area - load up a car with people - drive to the desired protest area - drop off everyone but the driver - driver parks the car or takes another load of people down. No need to walk through the checkpoint 'zone'. Now when the cops tell you to get in your car, you can honestly say your car isn't here. And when it's time to leave, you can honestly say that their checkpoint on the state right of way is blocking you from getting to your car.

And I'm suprised [sic] that none of the ten or so people there couldn't tell the cop that the grassy area around the road is a public right-of-way, not a road. Yes, cops make [expletive deleted] up because they don't know the law (if they did, they would be a lawyer, not a cop). But if your group of ten people is even less knowledgable [sic] about the law than the cop, then don't try to argue the law.

And I never heard them ask the cop for his badge number, supervisor's name and what department he was with. Even if the checkpoint is run by the feds, once actual cops show up to help out, you can file a complaint with their PD for assisting.

And trying to convert the agents to your PoV is a lost cause; this is purely a paycheck to them. You might as well be a PETA member trying to walk through a meat processing plant and yelling at them for killing chickens. Nobody is going to quit their job for you.

If you really want to get these to stop, get a bunch of people to go through intentionally during peak travel times (like BEFORE work), play dumb and start up a five minute conversation asking what deal is. Do not act like a protestor, act like an increasingly annoyed motorist. Do not let them direct you out of the primary traffic lane. If you can hold up the line badly enough, otherwise disinterested motorists will start to complain.

It's unfortunate, but most Americans think the Constutution [sic] is about as relevant as the Ten Commandments. They're willing to give up any rights that they don't need to exercise on a regular basis if it makes them feel safer or more wealthy [sic]. You have to put it in terms that are meaningful to their daily lives.

I agree with what this commenter says (at least until the last two paragraphs). In Romans 13:1-7, it says:

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Were these BP agents acting within the bounds of the Constitution, stopping U.S. citizens traveling from point A to point B 50-100 miles from the Mexican border? Probably not. Is it ridiculous that they are doing this so far away from the border while the illegal immigrants are getting across the border by the thousands? Definitely yes.

But does that mean that Christians (the protestor doing most of talking and who is the most aggressive is a Baptist minister) should intentionally look for a confrontation with them? No. And I don’t even agree with doing what the commenter has suggested in the second to last paragraph of his comment. It was not good to get the police involved in this because they are then taken away from their other duties which are honorable to God necessary for maintaining peace and justice. If they are deliberately acting unjustly, then God will judge them for it. But as Christians, we should give them respect and the benefit of the doubt. Christians shouldn’t hold up traffic something like this. Its not like as if this is going to go to the Supreme Court like the Rosa Parks case.

On the other hand, we do need to stand up for the Constitution and the idea of protesting this injustice is good. And there are times when civil disobedience is a good and proper for the Christian. What the commenter says in the first few paragraphs makes sense. Acts 5:28-29 says:

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

If governing authorities are harassing Christians enough that they cannot preach Christ Jesus to those willing listen, then civil disobedience is appropriate. We should stand up for others rights to speak freely also even if we disagree with them. But I think that these folks are a bit too aggressive. Matthew 5:38 says, (Jesus speaking):

You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

If you read this post (or just use common sense and take this passage in context), then you can easily see what it means (liberals stretch and distort it). It is even more sad that most Americans have no respect for the 10 commandments than it is that they don't have any respect for the constitution.

Why the President scares me, an open letter to him

I received an email today from Don Wildmon of the American Family Association (AFA) containing a letter written by a former vice-president of Proctor and Gamble. That letter was originally sent to the New York Times, but was never published by that burned out lighthouse of biased leftward propaganda. However, the letter made its way to the Internet, where is is being read by thousands upon thousands. The following is a copy of that letter. The italicised headings are mine.

The Soetoro aka Obama administration talks about torture at Club Gitmo. What about the torture daily administered to thousands of babies at the blood-stained hands of Planned Parenthood's (and other heinous, so called 'women's health care' aka life-destroying) abortuaries around the nation? We treat foreign terrorists, that want to destroy America, and domestic criminals on Death Row, who reside there because of all manner of vile crimes they have committed, far better than we treat the innocents residing in their mothers' wombs. - He was unaware that the man he nominated to be the U.S. Trade Representative was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the woman he nominated to be his Chief Performance Officer was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be #2 at the Environmental Protection Agency was under investigation for mismanaging $25 million in EPA grants.

“There are people in comas that are more aware of world affairs than this guy.”

In her email Virginia adds the following:

“-He refuses to produce proof and has paid lawyers $millions to keep from producing proof he is eligible to hold office in the U.S. and is aided and abetted by the few wealthy families that control most media.

“-He believes you can get out of debt by creating more debt - for other people that is!!! While he (continues to) recklessly spends hardworking (if they have work) Americans' money.”

The crux of the matter is that the only apparent thing he seems to be aware of is himself, his ardent desire to deconstruct the United States and to remake it into some kind of socialistic utopia subservient to a global never-land utopia.

Hummer to China, a real bummer

The Chinese bought a brand and the great technology that General Motors (now Gov’t Motors) developed. That was a mistake. The Chinese are our enemies. Will we continue to outfit our military with Chinese-made Hummers of questionable quality and manufacture? Will we buy (on credit) back Hummers from the Red Chinese, who do not have the concern for quality that American enterprises have had? Remember the tainted baby food and sea food, the lead based children toys, etc.?

But apparently to the new administration, America’s worst enemies are now considered our friends, and her best friends (Israel, Christians and conservatives) are now considered America’s enemies. Now, that is the change that the alleged President, Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama, brings to the table.

He appeases and apologizes to the Islamo-fascist-terrorist supporting states, while his Department of Homeland Security identifies those who oppose the leftist, socialist agenda as terrorists.

We are being driven to the precipice of destruction by the forces of Islamo-fascism, secular humanism, political correctness, and atheistic communism. Actually we have come to a tipping point in history. All of those that hate the God of the Bible and the values and principles that inspired America’s founding, are working in unison to destroy us, and now we are cooperating with them.

The fire sale of the Hummer to despotic China is symbolic of the break up of a once great company and a once great nation. We are giving our resources to a certified enemy. I cannot help but think that there surely must be some investor in America who could take the Hummer and make a success. Then again, the monolithic interfering government with its over regulation and over taxation and its foolish green (and I don’t mean profit) policy and orientation makes it nearly impossible to operative freely or for a profit, especially if you are a manufacturer.

Support Pro-life Bills

Dear Concerned Christian,

As you are probably well aware, the federal courts, and in particular, the Supreme Court have run amuck for decades by legislating from the bench and rendering decisions which are entirely out of step with both the Constitution and the will of the people. Though this usurpation of legislative power was never the intention of Founding Fathers, they did anticipate that this would occur, and did not leave us without a legal remedy.

In accordance with Article III, section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress has the authority to remove from the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts, including the Supreme Court, almost any subject matter. Last week Congressman Ron Paul introduced the Sanctity of Life Act of 2009. Section 2 of this bill (H.R.2533) states:

(1) the Congress declares that—
(A) human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency; and
(B) the term ‘person’ shall include all human life as defined in subparagraph (A); and
(2) the Congress recognizes that each State has the authority to protect lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that State.

The bill goes on to specifically describe the limitations that this would place on the Supreme Court and the federal courts by amending Chapter 81 of title 28 of the United States code, preventing it from reviewing cases on the grounds that a law:

protects the rights of human persons between conception and birth; or prohibits, limits, or regulates--the performance of abortions; or the provision of public expense of funds, facilities, personnel, or other assistance for the performance of abortions.

Like the Marriage Protection Act, this bill insolates itself and is “Supreme Court proof”. Other pro-life bills do not have this protection!!! This is the most important bill in Congress!!!

There are also some other good pro-life bills which have other important items that H.R.2533 does not have:

The Sanctity of Human Life Act (H.R.227) defines life as beginning at fertilization or cloning, rather than conception, which is an additional an safeguard for human embryos against the court’s misinterpretation of the word “conception”. Both H.R.227 and the Right to Life Act (H.R.881 and S.346) declare more explicitly that the unborn have a constitutional right to life and that Congress, not just the States, has the authority to enforce the “equal protection” clause according to the section 5 of the 14th amendment.

There are also some other bills that would restrict abortion funding, such as The Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (H.R.614 and S.85) and The Restrict Assistance To Foreign Organizations That Perform Or Actively Promote Abortions Act (H.R.708). But the Taxpayers' Freedom of Conscience Act of 2009 (H.R.1233) is best because it applies to both domestic and foreign funding and doesn’t contain exceptions for rape and incest. It simply says:

No Federal official may expend any Federal funds for any population control or population planning program or any family planning activity (including any abortion procedure), irrespective of whether such program or activity is foreign or domestic.

Please send this information to your congressman and ask him/her to cosponsor these bills!!!

Fetal Hate Crimes Legislation

I do not endorse this bill, but I thought you might get a kick out of it:

While researching the next article, which is on abortion legislation, I came across a very strange bill, H.R.1822, entitled The Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act of 2009. This bill would make it illegal to discriminate against an unborn baby on the basis of race or gender. The bill specifies a jail sentence of up to five years for this. This long, bizarre bill has many tortured arguments about how bad it is to have an abortion if the reason is sex-selection (“son-preference”) or racial eugenics. It would only ban abortions that are done for these reasons, as if other reasons aren’t nearly as bad! Its hate crimes legislation for fetuses! I wonder if Sue B. and ole Freddy would be proud to have their names on this bill. (They’re probably rolling over in their graves, but it is with disgust or laughter?)

Come What May (2009)

Come What May is a movie with a true biblical worldview or perspective. It is dramatically different from the typical trashy Hollywood fare offered to the American movie goer today.

The setting of the movie is Patrick Henry College, where the stars of the movie are two college sophomores. Patrick Henry is one of only a few universities that refuse to take any federal funding, therefore can keep their founders' principles pure and free from compromise. This compromise ruined and sidetracked the majority of universities in America, especially those founded as Christ-centered institutions of higher, God-honoring learning.

The movie, Expelled, exposed the intolerance and prejudice against open academic freedom on most of America's universities today. Most of academia is controlled by a leftist secular humanistic socialist elite.

Come What May is the story of two college students, who as part of the Patrick Henry College Moot Court team set out to defeat Roe v. Wade. One student is a strong Christian while the other student, Caleb, is a nominal Christian, who desires to work in the law firm that employees his mother. There is an interesting friction between the members of Caleb's family. Caleb is on of the stars of the movie. His mother is an attorney who happens to get a case representing a pro-abortion pharmaceutical company before the U.S. Supreme Court. At the same time her son, Caleb, is arguing the pro-life side a parental notification case before the Moot Court. It all makes for an interesting story.

PRODUCTION

Wikipedia comments, "The cast and crew of Come What May were comprised of many homeschooled students, and the movie was filmed using digital high-definition video in order to keep the production on a small budget. . . . In total, over 40 students from 16 different U.S. states participated in the making of this movie."

RATING

This movie is a ***** out of ***** movie. It is worth the rental or purchase price. It is radically wholesome and based on traditional American values, which might appear, unfortunately, to be very foreign to the average American. The movie has a message and entertains as well. I would recommend this movie especially to young adults and adults. It could be considered to be a counter-culture film in 2009, because of the gross decline in morality and due to the poisoning of the minds of our young people though the infiltration of our schools and universities of a Marxist, atheistic ideology.

Roeder & Tiller, murderers, not heroes

Hear Their Cry

Pro-Life Organizations, their leadership and their members are almost unanimous in their condemnation of the murder of late-term and partial-birth abortionist George Tiller.

In think Katie Walker of the American Life League (ALL) put it best and she speaks for the Pro-Life community when she says, "This was a senseless act of violence similar to how all abortions are senseless acts of violence. We condemn the violence perpetrated against George Tiller, and we also condemn the violence perpetrated on millions of children in the womb."

Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) warned, “Pro-abortionists will try to negate all the hard work and sacrifice of the millions of pro-lifers who help women and their unborn babies. What makes this more exasperating is that Troy Newman of Operation Rescue and other Kansas pro-life groups and lawmakers had Tiller’s clinic on the verge of closer through the legal process. Tiller’s murder was a senseless act.”

We will hear much in the days ahead about “those behind the violent act against Dr. Tiller.” Well, Roeder had a history of mental illness, and I suspect he acted alone. The alleged President, Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama, and the Pro-Death Democratic Party leadership will seek justification for further harassment of the Pro-Life Community as well as seek gun control measures based on this senseless act. They only do it to advance their political agenda and push their far-left, socialist agenda.

On the other side, there may be a few extremists who will praise what Scott Roeder did. The court system and judges are very derelict in dealing out justice, however, to keep anarchy and vigilantism from occurring in our society we must reject the violence. Yesterday, Martin Luther King’s peaceful civil rights protests rejected the violence of such groups as the Black Panthers. Today, as we pursue the latest civil rights challenge on behalf of the most vulnerable and most innocent persons in our society, we must reject the violence of the Scott Roeders of the world.

Many Pro-Death advocates and extreme feminists such as Kim Grady of the National Organization of Women (NOW) consider Tiller to be a ‘champion’ or a hero. For example, Grady stated, “Women across the country have lost a champion today. The cold-blooded murder of Dr. George Tiller this morning in church is a stark reminder that women's bodies are still a battleground, and health care professionals are on the frontlines.” Grady doesn't mention targets of the violence of the abortionist, the baby in the womb. What about the violence that Tiller and the abortion industry perpetrates against them?

Truly, neither Tiller nor Roeder were heroes or champions. They were both murderers. One murdered many and ruined the lives of countless men and women. While the other murdered one. Both are guilty of wicked and vile deeds.

Mount Vernon City Schools & the on-going Bible controversy

The June 2009 (American Family Association) AFA Journal carried a article about the Mount Vernon City School Bible on the Desk controversy. This is the same school district that is trying to terminate the contract of one of its prized teachers, John Freshwater, for refusing to follow his supervisor’s order to remove his bible from his desk.

Bible ban lifted for Ohio public school district

The Mount Vernon City Schools are again the center of controversy over Bibles. During the last school year, John Freswater, a 24-year veteran teacher, was suspended on other issues after a conflict arose when school officials found a Bible on his desk. This school year, the public school staffers, in the small community of Mount Vernon, Ohio, were ordered by administrators to remove all religious materials and displays from their rooms, including their Bibles.

In April, one middle school teacher, Lori Miller, was confronted about personal devotional materials on her desk and was directed to remove them. When she asked for support from her local and state union (affiliated with the National Education Association –NEA), she was told that she had no legal grounds for her grievance and it was justified via a legal opinion from the state level. Locally, the union insisted she comply and tried to block her from filing a grievance due to what her own union termed her violation of “separation of church and state.

“I was outraged when I learned that Lori, one of our members was experiencing such obvious religious harassment from her employers and was being roadblocked by local and state unions professed to be advocates for educators,” said Finn Laursen, executive director of Christian Educators Association International (CEAI). “We encouraged Lori to move forward with a grievance and had First Amendment attorneys waiting in the wings should litigation be needed.

On April 14, Lori Miller received a first level grievance hearing in which her right to have a Bible on her desk was affirmed “for the present time.”

On April 16, many students brought their Bibles to school as an exercise of their religious freedom and as a show of support for their former teacher, John Freshwater, who is till fighting to get his job back.

“The lesson here is clear. It is imperative that Christian educators, students, and parents remain willing to step forward to insist on the rights our forefathers guaranteed for future generations in the Frist Amendment of our Constitution,” said Laursen.

There definitely appears to be a real effort to silence the Christian voice in our school systems. Where once Christ and Christianity were welcomed and an integral part of the classroom and curriculum, they are now banned in preference to a godless hedonistic secular humanistic religiosity.
