This television ad highlights recent press accounts that sound more like they are out of Iran than the U.S. But truth be told they are actually accounts of Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama's (and his administration's) failures and poor policy decisions.

After observing Obama on the campaign trail and during his first six months in office, we have concluded that our President lives and governs according to his own set of “Ten Commandments.” They’re certainly NOT the Ten Commandments you learned in Sunday School. THE PASS ACT

The PASS Act was one of the three topics discussed by Gary in this Reality report. Gary discussed many of the provisions of the PASS Act. S.1261. He said “…if this bill is passed, it will be the death knell of the United States.”

The Stoning of Soraya M. (2009)

“Powerful film about a stoning in Iran: ‘The Stoning of Soraya M.’ is not for casual viewing. Based on a true story, this powerful film recounts the killing of a wrongly accused woman in a small Iranian village in 1986.” --- Clint O’Connor, (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, Friday Magazine, 7/17/09

It took two weeks for ‘The Stoning of Soraya M.' to make its way into a movie theater in Ohio. See my previous posting regarding this movie. Actually, I happened to be in Cleveland yesterday and took in an afternoon showing. The Cedar-Lee Theater in Cleveland is the only theater in the state of Ohio that is showing this intense and important movie.

The inhuman act of stoning, like slavery, goes in many Islamic nations at the present time. In Islam the woman is a second class citizen with little or no rights. (Where is the outrage, N.O.W.’s radical feminists?)

This movie tells the story of one woman’s plight, and the courage of another woman to get that story out to the world. It gives a great insight into the cruelty and hate-based religious-political-military system that is Islam. Its adherents desire to portray Islam as the religion of ‘peace’. However, it is more like the religion of piece, meaning body parts. This is in reference to limbs amputated as punishment for simple crimes of theft. That nicety was not on display in this movie, but a torturous stoning scene was.

Soraya’s wicked, evil, even demonic husband falls in love with a 14 year-old girl and seeks to get out of his current marriage. Soraya is a good, honorable wife, who is victimized by this monster. The monster is her husband and the system gone wrong.

One interesting dynamic to watch throughout the movie is the interaction between the children (two boys and two girls) of Soraya and her corrupt husband. You will see the love of Soraya and the self-centeredness of the husband. What is particularly tragic is how the two older children, the boys, turn on their mother and even take up stones to throw against her.

Jim Caviezel plays a French journalist, Freidoune Sahebjam, who is made aware of the atrocity that occurred to Soraya. He is shown at the beginning and at the end of the movie. Caviezel is the actor who portrayed Jesus Christ in the Passion of the Christ. That movie, too, showed the brutal and inhuman tortuous treatment of a person. The difference being that Jesus was God-man dying so that men might be reconciled to God. The story of Soraya’s death helps to inform the world the true nature of Islam and its god.

This movie is a telling tragedy of the shenanigans that too often go on in the Muslim world. If nothing more, this movie presents a glimpse of what goes on behind the Islamic curtain.

RATING

I rate this movie ****1/2 stars out of *****. It is violent, and is correctly rated R because of it. Young children should not be permitted to see the movie.

I think that this movie should be shown to every high school and college aged student in America to present a balance to the indoctrination being feed to students in the pretext of cultural diversity about Islam. Even our past President had a false notion that Islam was a religion of peace. However, 9/11, this movie, and the on going persecution of Christians and anyone else who does not submit to Islam in those countries where Shariah Law predominates shows the true face of Islam.

Land of the Lost (2009)

I can't help but comment that the title of this very bad movie might be more and more appropriate description of America these first six months of 2009. But no, the movie is not about the Democrats' demonic drive to destroy America. Though in many ways what the new administration and Congress is doing is as obscene and abhorrent as this silly movie. Actually the title is the best part of this movie.

I happened to get caught in a thunderstorm, when I got out of a meeting about healthcare reform in Columbus, Ohio several weeks ago. Because of the intensity of the storm, I decided to go to a movie. Rarely do I pay to attend a movie. I came across one of those mega movie theaters and decided to take a chance it was around 8 PM so I thought I surely would find a movie to watch. Surely with 12 movies there must be something to see. After asking a few questions of the ticket taker about a couple of the movies, I dislike animations, so I selected “Land of the Lost.” This movie was supposedly based on an old TV show. I do not remember the TV show. After watching the movie, I know I why I never watched the TV show.

I parted with $7.00 in order to get out of the rain for a few hours. It turned out that I had to walk out of the movie around the half-way mark. It was that bad. Now I know why I rarely go to movies. Actually, I would have been much better off had I stopped at Denny's and had a salad and read ta newspaper until the rain subsided.

Some of the words to describe this atrocious movie are:

· Inane
· Pointless
· Numbing
· Hollywood at its worst
· Vile
· Vacant
· Stupid
· Sophomoric
· Brainless
· Meaningless

I could go on and on. You get the point. Oh,MovieGuide.com called it “Putrid, Scatological Sci Fi.” Furthermore, here is how MovieGuide.com summarizes this totally worthless piece of trash:

““LAND OF THE LOST is a very vulgar remake of what was a children’s TV show, about a foul-mouthed, pompous scientist, his new assistant and a redneck survivalist, who accidentally get trapped in another dimension with dinosaurs, a caveman alien and a group of nasty, but slow-moving lizard men up to no good. Despite some very funny clean moments, LAND OF THE LOST is a rambling, abhorrent exercise in offensive, sexual, scatological, stoner jokes.”

RATING:

There is no audience suitable for this absolutely terrible movie. There is nothing, nothing redeeming about the movie. I made a big mistake taking a chance on seeing this movie. My biggest mistake was not leaving even earlier than I did. This is one of the few times I ever walked out on a movie.

I would unhesitatingly rate this movie - - stars out of *****. If there was a way to give a negative rating the movie would get a negative 5 stars.

I warn everybody and anybody don’t buy, rent, or watch this movie even for free. It is a toxic dump of a movie. Can I be anymore plain?

MovieGuide and my advise is to avoid this movie at all costs. I wish I had done that!

ONE VERY BAD MOVIE, ONE REALLY GOOD MOVIE

Contrast this terrible movie with the terrific movie I saw yesterday afternoon, which you will find in my next post. "Land of the Lost" and "The Stoning of Soraya M." are on the opposite ends of the movie quality spectrum.

Tea Party Protest & Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) Friday, 7/17/09

I joined a protest at the Cleveland Office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) on Friday 7/17/09. Most of the people were either part of the Cleveland Tea Party or local 912 Project groups. There were between 2 and 3 dozen people involved with the protest on East Ninth in front of Erievew Plaza, where Senator Brown has one of his district offices, which is on the 17th floor. Although I have attended major TEA parties in March, April and July, I decided to attend this Tea Party protest event, which was aimed particularly at the issue of healthcare reform. The Democrats are ratcheting the intensity of their effort to nail America to the cross of Socialized Medicine.

Universal Healthcare, or ObamaCare, or whatever one calls this monstrosity, is an especially bad idea since nothing is being done about shortages of Medicare and Social Security. Why take on additional spending and why increase the debt and deficit even further? Why are the Democrats in such a hurry to foist another unneeded, unnecessary and wasteful program on the American people? Is their intent to CHANGE this nation into a godless secular socialist state the reason? The evidence really points to that being the major reason. Look at their nationalization of the auto industry, look at the bailouts of the banking and insurance industries, look at how they kowtow to the various labor unions, and look at their intent to redistribute the wealth through the horrific Cap and Trade legislation.

People held signs in protest for at least an hour, then at 12:45 PM the group went to Senator Brown’s office. The groups leader had previously made an appointment. We met one of the operatives in the district office. His name was Brad. He was an articulate spokesperson for the Senator. Because of the size of the group he invited us into the conference room. We interacted for at least an hour.

Many in the group were very angry with the direction our country is going and stated such. Socialized Medicine and Cap and Trade were the topics that fueled most of the debate. Several small business owners were present and indicated that they were very concerned about the expected tax increases and the negative business climate being created by the present Congress and Administration.

If I had to characterize the group that visited Senator Brown, I would have to describe the as average Americans, who were fed up with what the government was doing to the nation. There were nurses, immigrants, a wife of a physician, businessmen, businesswomen, retired, college student, housewives, small business owners. I believe we represented much of America. Many in the group represent families and other 912 project groups and other TEA Party groups. Our being there seemed to be like a Tea Party in action. It was a natural outgrowth of the Tea Party movement.

All across the nation various groups were meeting over the lunch hour visiting their representative’s offices to share their concerns about ObamaCare.

As I said already, Brad spent a good hour allowing many of those present to vent their deep frustration over the proposed nationalization of the American healthcare system. During the course of the exchange of ideas and concerns Brad intimated that the people present merely represented a minority of the opinions of Ohioans. He stated that we represented maybe 40% of Ohioans. I believe that our group represented over 60% of the population and positions of the people of Ohio. You cannot tell me that 60% of Ohioans favored TARP, the Stimulus Bill, the Bloated Budget, Cap and Trade and Nationalized Healthcare. No way.

Interestingly Sen. Brown’s rep could not definitely say what the Senator’s position on the Cap and Trade bill was. The Cap and Trade Bill was based on the fraudulent global warming based scheme to tax American individuals and businesses. All Cap and Trade does is enrich the pockets of Al Gore, Goldman-Sachs and other who stand to personally profit by it. It does scantly little if anything for the actual environment, especially since India, China and Brazil refuse to join the Cap and Trade foolishness. One woman, who said she was the wife of a physician, told Brad that her husband had said that Senator Brown had told him that Brown would vote for the Cap and Trade Bill. Brad said he was not told that by the Senator, who on several occasions in the past has opposed similar legislation. Another individual in the group commented that information on Senator Brown’s website seemed to hint that he would be supporting Cap and Trade.

Fox News, WJW TV 8, had a reporter present, but I do not think any footage was reported on the news as of Friday night.

Like the alleged President, Sherrod Brown and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland were elected more as a protest against the principle-less Republicans rather than for any of the Democrat's radical platform. The Democrats in Congress and the current occupier of the White House act as if they have an overwhelming mandate to CHANGE American into a socialist state. They do not. The big TEA Party and the small Tea Party actions such as the visit to our representatives are a reaction to the rush to remake America into the image of a tyrannical state in the mold of the former and godless Soviet Union.

In addition to lacking a long-form birth certificate, the Robot Obama and the current occupier of the oval office share some common features. Both are attractive, well-dressed figures. They both have been pre-programmed. Soetoro a/k/a Obama was steeped in the socialistic & Marxist philosophy of Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall Davis and a vast array of leftist college professors and friends. Robot Obama has been pre-programmed by Disney engineers.

The two differ in that the real (Soetoro alias) Obama requires teleprompters when he speaks, while Robot Obama speaks extemporaneously albeit from a CD.

The Right Way to Amend the Constitution, part 4

PARENTAL PRIMACY

This is part four of an ongoing series of articles containing proposals for amendments to the Constitution. For someone who claims so fervently to be a “Constitutionalist”, how is it that I can be so eager to change the Constitution? Well, there are several reasons. For one thing, I believe that after the Bill of Rights, much damage was done by some of the amendments that were added and the legitimacy of some of their ratifications are questionable. Secondly, the Constitution has been violated so much that the necessity of further amendments is needed to resolve the resulting problems. But this should be done extremely cautiously. These amendments are extremely unlikely to ever be introduced, much less ratified, but hey, I can dream, can’t I?

Before I get to this week’s proposed amendment, I want to point a correction to something that I had written (in regards to who should decide who is a U.S. citizen) last week. "Without the 14th, the states would have the legal right to decide that question, which is a much more appealing idea to me." This is not true, the Constitution does charge Congress with the duty "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization" in Article I section 8. I have made the appropriate correction in the text of that post.

Here is my fourth proposed amendment (subject to revision):

Section 1: The liberty of parents to direct the up bringing and education of their children is a fundamental right. The United States shall not infringe upon this right.

Section 2: No portion of this Constitution or of any law of the United States shall be construed as a limitation of authority or responsibility that parents have over their children. Neither shall any treaty, international law, nor executive order be employed to supersede, modify, interpret, or apply to this authority.

Section 3: The thirteenth article of amendment of this Constitution, if rendered inoperable by a subsequent amendment, shall be again operable upon ratification of this amendment.

Commentary on this proposed amendment:

As I mentioned in the last post of this series, a parental rights amendment is needed not only because of the U.N. Convention On The Rights Of The Child, but because of flaws in our own Constitution. It’s possible that the Founders took parental rights as a given, and did not even dream of the day that we would have to worry about governments intruding on them. It is clear that in these cases, the authors of some later amendments did not intend these intrusions. Sometimes the courts recognize intent when interpreting the Constitution, but sometimes they don’t. It’s best, as much as possible, not to leave this for them to decide.

The 13th prohibits involuntary servitude. A straightforward interpretation of this amendment, without any regard for the Bible or God-given rights, would lead one to believe that parents are constitutionally prohibited from requiring their children to do chores. This is a perfect example why one must be very careful in amending the constitution—it can lead to an inadvertent usurpation of authority by government.

Similarly, the 14th amendment forbids States from denying “equal protection under the law” to any person within its jurisdiction. This would mean that all laws must equally apply to all people. So you couldn’t have, for example, statutory rape laws. If a parent sent a child to his room, this would be like sending a complete stranger to his room (kidnapping). It just isn’t a well thought out piece of legislation.

Even the 2nd amendment needs tempering with a parental rights amendment. Notice it doesn’t say that “the United States and the Several States” are prohibited from infringing on the keep and right to bear arms. It just says it “shall not be infringed”. But obviously parents should have the right to decide when or if their child should be allowed to have a gun and if so, what type, and to require supervision, etc. Notice that, unlike other parental rights amendments, my amendment forbids a limitation on parental responsibility by the Federal government. Thus, an irresponsible parent, leaving his or her child unsupervised with a loaded gun, would not be immune from prosecution (by his or her State) on the basis of the 2nd amendment.

There is a joint resolution in the Congress (H.J. Res. 42/ S.J. Res. 16) to introduce a parental rights amendment which you can read about at parentalrights.org. But it is much weaker than mine. They are trying to do too much with this amendment by restricting the States with the same language as Federal and multinational government. Their proposed amendment contains this exception:

Neither the United States nor any State shall infringe upon this right without demonstrating that its governmental interest as applied to the person is of the highest order and not otherwise served.

This exception is so vaguely worded that the courts would take it to mean anything (so long as it’s in THEIR interest). Obviously, local government should intervene in cases of child abuse. That is obviously the primary reason for the exception. These cases are difficult to define and shouldn’t be left up to bureaucrats in Washington or federal courts to decide. That is why I only limit Federal and international authority in my version. It is easier to get rid of a local judge who makes a bad decision on a child abuse case than it is a federal judge or an international tribunal.

I do, however, applaud the intentions of the authors, the sponsors, and the cosponsors of H.J. Res. 42/ S.J. Res. 16. It did call this issue to my attention and served as a starting point for the development of my own amendment.

Jews Need Jesus

This video illustrates how lost the Jews are. (I am referring to Judaism, not particularly the Jewish race.) Under the Law of Moses, Jews were required to make animal sacrifices for their sins. This is no longer practical because most people don’t have their own animal with which to sacrifice. Even if they did, there is no temple and the necessary articles that are supposed to go into it no longer exist. Jews get around this in various ways according to which sect they belong or which rabbi they follow. There isn’t any place in the Scriptures which says that hitting yourself is an acceptable substitute for blood. (Read Leviticus 5:17-18, 17:11, Jeremiah 8:13) Christ is the only suitable substitute because he sinless and he willingly went to the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Show Me The Birth Certificate

Manning refers to the alleged President Barry Soetoro alias Barack Obama as the “long-legged mack daddy.” What is a "mack daddy," I asked (I don’t listen to gangsta rap)? The urban dictionary defines ‘mack daddy’ as (1) an ultra pimp, (2) A pimpalicous man who gets anything he wants (i.e., sex, money, clothing, cars etc). Bailouts, pork-filled-stimulus, bloated federal budget, Cap & Trade, Socialized Medicine, TARP = MONEY. Nationalizing Government Motors (GM) = CARS. Michelle’s $500 sneakers = CLOTHING, etc . . . . Barry the mack daddy . . . He seems to fit the bill.

Instant TEA Party in Michigan 7/14/09

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch newspaper runs a regular feature called the Hot Issue, where they ask their readers a question of interest and ask them to answer the question and comment on their answer. Here is their question of the day for last Wednesday and my answer.

Hot Issue:

Do you approve of the way President Barack Obama is handling the economy?

My Response:

The alleged President, Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama, has turned a recession into a potential depression. He is ruining the economy seemingly more day by day. He has a very naive understanding of economics or maybe he wants to deliberately tank the economy, one or the other.

If he were receiving a performance appraisal in the business world he would be joining the unemployed 10%. I give him a "not meeting standards" overall evaluation.

His stimulus or porkulus bill is a dismal failure, as it relates to what its hyped intent. He promised unemployment would not rise upon 8% in the stimulus was passed. It will exceed 10% before the end of summer. Where are all those shovel ready projects?

He has interfered in the automobile industry and has wasted money achieving the same ends as if the companies were allowed to file bankruptcy themselves.

He has not only continued the failed Bush administration economic policies of Bush's last year or two, he has accelerated those failed policies and dreamt up and implemented some new, even worse ones.

Like a related mental disorder, Bush Derangement Syndrome, the Left has developed a very severe mental disorder named, Palin Derangement Syndrome. At the mere thought or mention or sight of Governor Palin, many liberals on the Left will lose all control of what faculties they have and literally go berserk.
