Let's Stop the Illegal Alien Invasion For Real

For the second time in two weeks, the proposed Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill is dead. It is history. Already in the wake of the second sound defeat of this terrible Amnesty legislation, polls are being taken asking, “What should the next steps be in dealing with the immigration problem?” The problem with the illegal aliens will not go away. So what do we do now?

THE “DO SOMETHING ABOUT ILLEGAL ALIENS” PLAN

I participated in two polls on Friday – one by WorldNetDaily.com and another by OneNewsNow.com. These polls triggered some solutions for the current illegal immigration problem. After considering the results of those polls and after considering what else should be done to solve the illegal alien invasion problem, here is a prioritized list of what America should do with the illegal immigration challenge:

(1) Secure our borders

... a. Build a complete fence on our borders

... b. Increase Border Patrol agents

... c. Empower and support Border agents in doing their jobs


(2) Vigorously enforce existing immigration laws including

... a. Punish any business who employs illegal aliens

... b. Immediately deport those illegal aliens convicted of crimes or member of violent gangs

... c. Do a comprehensive review and analysis of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and to institute changes to clean up and clean out the bureaucratic inefficiencies. Tweak existing laws or create new laws to make the agency more responsive to the goals of eliminating new illegals from invading and for screening and processing current illegal aliens for trial, deportation or assimilation.


(3) Eliminate government benefits for illegal aliens


(4) Remove all federal funding from any municipality or entity of any kind who has a policy of harboring or providing “sanctuary” for illegal aliens.


(5) Demand that the Mexican government remove all consulates which distribute and counsel illegal aliens in how to get away with breaking American law.


(6) Pressure the Bush Administration to dissolve any North American Union until Mexico policy of aiding and abetting the illegal alien invasion of the United States and to purge their government of the influence of drug lords and to institute reforms to help their impoverished.


(7) Change the law to require parents be citizens of the United States in order for their child to be considered an American citizen, not merely the fact that they were born on U.S. soil.


These are but the beginnings of what we ought to do in lieu of the flawed Amnesty plan concocted by Bush-Kennedy-McCain. Reform measures should be in the form of small pieces of legislation well thought out and analyzed for cost-benefit to support the implementation of the above list.

RESULTS OF THE AMNESTY DEFEAT

The American people were energized and activated to do something about the stealth moves of the President and Congress to sneak through Amnesty for 12-20 million without regard to cost or long-term damaging effects on this nation. Here is some of the collateral damage resulting from smashing the destructive Amnesty Plan:

· Senator John McCain can kiss his campaign for President goodbye, it is history.

· Senator George V. Voinovich can begin making plans for retirement after showing his ineptness regarding the Fairness Doctrine and the specifics of the Amnesty bill as demonstrated on the Sean Hannity Radio Show this week.

· The 46 Senators who voted to fast track the Amnesty Bill to passage and who are up for re-election will be weakened in their efforts to get re-elected in 2008.

· President Bush’s legacy has been severely damaged as a result of making Amnesty such a high priority and a seemingly self aggrandizing affair

· The illegal aliens are still criminals and should be treated as such until leave ths country willingly or forcefully, or until they become legal citizens.

A Good Week for Conservative Causes

This was a very great week for America and for conservative causes, issues and concerns for which this blog advocates. It was a good week for what is right, just and supportive of the Constitution and the values and principles upon which this nation was founded. Amnesty was stopped at the brink of passage in the Senate. The un-Fairness Doctrine was stripped from an appropriations bill in the House. The Supreme Court finally makes a string of sensible decisions.

SENATE AMNESTY BILL DEPORTED ON THURSDAY

Here lately I have been writing quite a bit about the recently jettisoned Amnesty bill. To my relief and to the chagrin of Senators McCain-Kyl-Kennedy-Reid-Boxer budget-busting American law breaking and values thrashing immigration bill failed yesterday to be fast tracked to passage. I even did a little political activism on behalf of killing this needless legislation. I faxed and emails my Senators and other key Senators.

OneNewsNow.com reported that S.B. 1639 was defeated by a vote of 46-53 in a procedural vote. The tally fell 14 votes short of the 60 needed to invoke cloture, which would have cut off debate, leading to a final vote requiring only a simply majority. My two Senators, Brown and Voinovich, in the end did the right thing, both voted against cloture, whereas just days before they were part of the majority who voted to resurrect this once dead bill by voting for cloture at that time. Now it has died a second death, hopefully for good this time. Some reports that I saw think that this issue will not be brought up again until 2009. Let’s hope they are right.

In response to the Senate vote, which was a clear indication that many near deaf Senators finally heard the will of the people on this matter, the advocates for amnesty were vitriol. One out of touch with the American peoples mind amnesty backer actually was quoted on KNBC.com as saying, "Our elected leaders -- people who are supposed to stand up on behalf of Americans -- were bullied by a small contingent of hate-mongering anti- immigrants completely unrepresentative of the larger American public, which continues to call for just, humane and effective solutions." I guess she was talking about me and maybe 80% of the American public. This amnesty-lover needs to take a remedial basic math course or many a basic reading.

Tellingly Senator Barbara Boxer was still referring to the illegal alien invaders as “undocumented workers.” That term may be more politically correct, but it is indicative as to how out of touch she and the 45 other Senators, who voted to fast track amnesty, were with the mind and will of Americans. May the public remember all of you in the 2008 elections and put you all on the fast train to retirement . . .

FAIRNESS DOCTRINE SILENCED ON THURSDAY

While the Senators were regaining its sanity and stopping Amnesty, the U.S House of Representatives soundly killed an attempt to attach the Fairness Doctrine to an appropriations bill. The vote was a whopping 309-115. The Hill.com reported, “The House voted overwhelmingly Thursday to prohibit the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from using taxpayer dollars to impose the Fairness Doctrine on broadcasters who feature conservative radio hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity."

Senator Diane Feinstein and other radical leftists have been craving a chance to silence AM talk radio. Actually conservative-dominated consumer-preferred talk radio is a counter balance to the liberally biased main stream media. It baffles me in one respect, why conservatives do not demand equal time on PBS, NPR, NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN whenever this question comes up. I heard Senator Feinstein say that when the Fairness Doctrine was in place that the news was “being reported correctly.” What gall, if everyone does not espouse the politically correct, Democrat Party line – it is considered “incorrect reporting?”

SUPREME COURT MAKES A FEW RIGHT RULINGS MONDAY

Even normally judicial activist and often wrong-ruling United States Supreme Court got it right this week. According to a OneNewsNow.com report, “The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday turned aside a key portion of the McCain-Feingold law on election campaign ads, upheld President Bush's faith-based initiative, and supported a school's right to impose some restrictions on student free speech.

The Court ruled in favor of a Pro-Life group who wanted to place an issue ad 30 days before the 2004 but was denied by the liberal and renegade 9th Circuit Court. Issues are not subject to the McCain-Feingold so-called Campaign Reform law.

The Supreme Court ruled that Joe-taxpayer cannot challenge a White House initiative that helps religious charities get a share of federal money. OneNewsNow.com reported that the decision blocks a lawsuit by a group of atheists and agnostics against eight Bush administration officials including the head of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. This case does not really substantially overturn the grossly misapplied and misinterpreted “establishment of religion clause” by the United States Supreme Court in previous cases.

The Supreme Court tightened limits on student speech, ruling against a high school student and his 14-foot-long "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" banner. The Court sided with the school, seeing the student, who was on a schools sponsored field trip, as advocating drug use. The Court ruled in favor of the school principal.

A GOOD WEEK

All in all it was a good week for Conservatives. A refreshing change of pace in the Pelosi-Reid period of politically correct and leftist-driven Congressional agenda. Let's have another year and a half of weeks like this!

Is justice really blind in our courts?

I was on jury duty last week. After being transferred from the Grand Jury to the Petit Jury, I was called with 15 other potential jurors to a courtroom for Voir Dire. Eight of us sat in the jury box and eight sat behind the litigants. The judge asked us if we knew any of the litigants or any lawyers in the case or any lawyers that worked for the same law firm as any of the lawyers in the case. The case was a civil lawsuit, having to do with an automobile accident and medical bills which were allegedly caused by the accident.

Then the plaintiff’s attorney asked if anyone had sued, been sued, had an injury that required surgery, had physical therapy, and other such questions. If anyone said yes, then they asked more specific questions, some very personal. He also asked more questions about any connections to the legal profession that anyone had. One man said his brother was a lawyer and another juror was a legal secretary.

The defense attorney kept asking us a question about whether or not we would think that it is possible for someone to exaggerate an injury in order to win a case. The plaintiff’s attorney kept objecting, and the defense attorney kept rephrasing it. A side bar was called, the defense attorney rephrased the question again, and the plaintiff’s attorney objected again. This was an obvious ploy by the defense to plant an idea in our heads. He knew that it would be objected to and sustained.

Each lawyer seemed to try to act like they didn’t know what they were doing in order to gain our sympathy, clamoring for every inch of advantage. How pathetic.

Then the defense attorney asked us more such questions. He asked me about my occupation. I gave a technical answer about what I do (I am a scientist). One juror asked to speak with the lawyers and the judge in private and when they were done, the judge said that this juror was dismissed “with cause”. One of the other eight potential jurors was called to replace him. Then each attorney grilled this juror as they had done us.

Each attorney was allowed to remove up to three jurors without giving a reason (a peremptory challenge). The plaintiff’s attorney declined this opportunity, but the defense attorney challenged the man whose brother was a lawyer. Then I was the next to go.

I think that it is unfair to force potential jurors to answer such personal questions that have nothing to with the case. The judge’s questions were reasonable for the most part. I think that all Voir Dire questions should limited to those which determine if a juror or someone the juror knows would stand to gain anything by a certain result in the case. Attorneys should not be allowed to choose or reject jurors based on their experiences, occupation, or beliefs. I think it is especially unfair to remove jurors because they have knowledge of some subject, such as science, so that this will be to their advantage if the preponderance of scientific evidence is in favor of the opposing side. I think that peremptory challenges should be limited to one for criminal cases and none for civil cases.

Amnesty, a Shamnesty, a Scamnesty

This evening I caught part of the Sean Hannity Radio show. Sean interviewed Ohio Senator George V. Voinovich regarding the so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill (S.1639), Amnesty for short, that is currently being debated in the Senate. Senator Voinovich admitted to Sean that he had not read the bill, only some summaries of the bill. Senator Voinovich also admitted that he had not read Robert Rector’s Heritage Foundation report on the cost of the “reform” bill and could not answer Hannity’s questions on the cost impact of the Amnesty bill. The Senator seemed quite irritated in being confronted when Sean pointed out that the bill was being rushed through without proper deliberation or adequate cost analysis. The Senator seemed to be squirming and his responses where not as sharp and thoughtful as you would expect for such a supposedly "critcal" and costly law.

In response to the loud outcry of the people on the Amnesty bill, Senator Voinovich responded that he received a lot of threatening emails and phone calls. To that he said that he had been in politics for 40 years and that no one was going to intimidate George Voinovich into voting one way or another. He implied that he would vote for what he and he alone, felt best for the country.

Senator Voinovich also implied that the Amnesty bill would not hurt Medicare or Social Security because probably 1/3 of the 12 million immigrants would go back home voluntarily. Sean asked the Senator what he based this figure on and the Senator did not answer. Hannity said that he thought that the Senator pulled that figure out of the air and had not on which to base it.

Senator Voinovich was noncommittal on how he would vote on cloture tomorrow morning. He seemed to imply that he was still listening to both sides of the debate and that he would look at all sides of the issue.

The Senators are moving along with the flow allowing this important piece of legislation to float down the river without regard for the damage that it would do when it arrived at its destination. It seems that the Senators are not deliberating sufficiently on this bill. The President in cahoots with the Democratic Senate leadership has drawn in the GOP leadership and too many GOP Senators into agreeing to advancing an unfinished, unnecessary, untimely and unwieldy budget-busting bill.

Please urge Senators Voinovich and Sherrod Brown to vote against cloture tomorrow and against this bill if it ever comes up for a vote.

Moving Toward Amnesty Armageddon

Voting for cloture and thus, resurrecting a once apparently dead bill, and thus advancing the possibility of passage of the fiscally irresponsible and senseless Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill S. 1639.were my two Senators and two key GOP Senate leaders.

Voting YEA to revive this wretched bill, which reporter Julie Hirschfeld Davis of AP wrote was meant “to scale procedural hurdles and return to the bill” to the Senate floor for possible passage were the following Senators:

· George Voinovich,( R-OH)
· Sherrod Brown, (D-OH)
· Mitch McConnell, (R-KY)
· Trent Lott, (R-MS)
· John McCain, (R-AZ)
· Sam Brownback (R-KS)

Two of the Senators were my state Senators and the other two individuals are the so-called leaders of the GOP minority in the Senate. Two of the Senators aspire to the Presidency. It is troubling to me that Senator Brownback appears to be pro-amnesty. It also is troubling to me that apparently President Bush has persuaded several key Republicans to change their positions. They will live to regret it if they continue to support this very deleterious bill.

What somewhat surprised me were the number of Democrats who voted against cloture.

· Stabenow (D-MI)
· Baucus (D-MT)
· Tester (D-MT)
· Dorgan (D-ND)
· Rockefeller (D-WV)
· Byrd (D-WV)

I really don’t know these people voted against it because only one was a border state.

Furthermore, I am fearful that Senator Voinovich will be retiring if he continues on this avenue of supporting this budget-economy-Medicare-Medicaid-busting bill. I for one will not vote for him in the primaries if he continues to support this bill. He just might be planning to retire after this term. If not we will put him out to pasture at the ballot box in May ’08. I will vote and work for his opponent in the 2010 primary. In fact, every last Senator who sticks with this bill to the end must be targeted for forced retirement that includes Republicans as well as Democrats.

This is a very frustrating situation because these Senators who voted for cloture are going against the direct will of the people. The lame duck President for apparently personal gain is personally vested in the passage of this insane legislation. The GOP Senators apparently did not learn the lesson from the ’06 elections, which were more of a rejection of the GOP than any infatuation with the Democrats despite what Representative Pelosi or Senator Reid would claim.

This bill is futile, unnecessary and even hurtful to the long-term interests of America. It must be defeated. I sent a personal email to Senators Brown, Brownback. McConnell and Voinovich. I sent faxes to Voinovich and Brown. I called Senator Voinovich's office but could not get through. He either took the phone off the hook or there were other people talking to him most likely trying to persuade him to vote against the amnesty bill. I am disappointed in the number of votes to stop cloture. I am hopeful, however that the outcry of the people will be louder than the shrieks of President Bush to the fence sitting Senators. What fence is that? It surely is not the fence on our borders now is it?

Presidential Candidates for ’08, Part 2

Yesterday we identified all the less-than-stellar candidates in both main political parties that are currently running for President. I just came across a few more names on NewsMax.com such as VP Al Gore, who is an even worse a candidate than those currently running. Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg may also run as an Independent candidate and his vast wealth makes him an instant viable candidate. Because he is a New Yorker, that in itself may be enough to disqualify him in my book. I love NY, not. On the GOP side Newt Gingrich is toying with the idea of running for the highest office as well. I like many of his brilliant ideas, but there are a few other candidates in the GOP who outshine him in character. He might make a good VP or cabinet member though.

THE FEW WORTHY OF THE HIGHEST OFFICE

Amazingly, some 17 months before next year’s national elections here I already offer my choices of qualified candidates deserving of serious consideration for nomination of President of the United States in 2008. Some of these candidate face great obstacles including some or all of the following: (1) lack of financial support, (2) extreme media-bias toward any true conservative whose positions are absolutely antithetical to those of the radical left, and (3) apathy on the part of values voters who have been very disappointed by those whom they elected including President George W. Bush. The following at this point are the best of the current crop of candidates.

Senator Fred Thompson

The order of these choices will possibly change during the next year and a half. There are a lot of debates, primaries and maybe even a disaster or two to endure. But one of the five candidates must emerge as the GOP or as a independent candidate to give America any hope for rising from her current malaise and funk. This malady did not develop overnight, but by an incessant move culturally and politically toward socialism and by a double crossing so-called compassionate-conservative President, who it turns out for the most part is neither. Sadly, President Bush has proved to be just another greedy, self-centered McCain-like moderate politician.

We need a leader who will be a true statesman, one who will lead us again with genuine optimism, courage and one who will govern by the same conservative principles that gets him elected. This is in lieu of using conservative principles to get elected and then abandoning them when he no longer feels that he needs to pretend that he believes them. A lot can happen between now and November of 2008. However, let us do all we can to insure that at least one of the choices for president will be a man of character, of faith and of firm conservative principles.

Presidential Candidates for ’08, Part 1

The Godless, Yet “Faithful” Ones?

THE DEMOCRATS

The current crop of candidates in the Democrat Party camp is atrocious. How else can you say it? The leftist elite leadership have so captured the once moderately conservative party and transformed it into a socialistic, atheistic ensemble spouting communistic dogma. Their candidates will say and do anything to gain or regain or sustain power. They may be principled politicians, but their principles are evil and godless. By their actions and positions on the issues, it is not a stretch to conclude that the “we” in former Soviet Union leader, Nikita Khrushchev’s infamous “We will bury you,” declaration include the likes of Rodham-Clinton, Edwards and Obama.

At sixty, ‘60s hippie Hillary Rodham-Clinton is a chameleon, a radical leftist bent on reshaping America into a secular socialist state thereby destroying the America we know and love. Amoral, smooth talking, empty suit, media concocted Barack Hussein Obama, was a former community organizer and has a radical leftist background and a questionable religious and political upbringing. These two most likely will be the ’08 Democrat Party nominees for President and Vice President.

THE REPUBLICANS

The so-called top tier Grand Old Party (GOP) candidates are not very grand ,only very disappointing and trite. This trio possesses the same old array of traits, ideas and behaviors that cost many GOP candidates defeat in the election of ’06. Their top three candidates are moderates at best. More likely, they are closet liberals with one eye out for and one hand out to corporate interests. Like all of the Democrat candidates, the three top Republican candidates lack significant conservative principles and beliefs.

Romney, McCain and Giuliani pay homage to the Reagan legacy and ideals to score political points, but do it without engaging their whole hearts and minds. This year Governor Mitt Romney claims he is now pro-life, only God knows what he will be next year. Like President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain supports the war on terror, but remains pitifully weak on securing our southern border. McCain continues to push what President Ronald Reagan’s oldest son, Michael, calls the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill- a “Comprehensive Destroy the Republican Party Bill.” Mayor Rudy Giuliani is just about as liberal as the Rodham-Clinton-Obama ticket on social issues, but he can’t bring himself to fess up to that fact.

THE 2008 ELECTION

The election of ’08 could be our last if this current group of candidates emerges as their parties choices. The nation is very vulnerable. The nation needs a strong leader to restore American values, to stem and purge the socialistic, humanistic, secularist advances of the past 50 or 60 years. For the sake of this great nation I certainly hope and pray that the GOP settles on a strong conservative candidate who can articulate his positions in a way to rally average Americans to reject the Bush-McCain-Pelosi-Reid way of government and to provide strong, principled Reagan-like leadership.

Dann the Profane

Who's behavior or position is more profane, Dann or Obama?

The following article shows us the decline in decorum, just plain respectful manners, among our highest elected officials. This is very poor example and model for our children and our citizens - seeing our leaders behaving badly, like you might expect to see at a wrestling Smack Down event.

DANN'S PROFANITY

Less than six months in office and we get a possible glimpse of the heart and mind of Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann. Apparently a nosey newspaper reporter got this public official’s dannder up. An editorial in the Mansfield (Ohio) News Journal today commented, “Dann was caught on tape by a Youngstown (Ohio) television station outside a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack (Hussein) Obama, cursing the writer because of an article about a woman Dann raised as his daughter landing a state job.”

The editorial goes on to say that Dann shouted “Hey Steve (Oravecz, he reporter) go (*/!$%#/) yourself,” TV station WYTV caught Dann’s profanity on tape and aired it on the Internet for all of Ohio and America to see the inappropriate and immature behavior of a top Ohio leader embarrassing Ohio.

The editorial concludes urging the not so danndy Marc to apologize to the reporter and to Ohio residents. Uncontrolled anger on the part of the state’s chief law enforcement could be said to be danngerous, indeed.

THE REAL OBAMINATION

Dann's words and attitude toward those daring to speak or expose the truth may be profane, however, much worse is the grossly profane platform and positions espoused by presidential candidate, Senator Obama, at who's fundraising event Dann's unseemly outburst occurred.

Senator Obama favors pro-death issues such as abortion and embryonic stem cell research, he supports and advocates for homosexual and other perversions expansion of their special protection, treatment and "rights", he favors limiting parental choice in educational alternatives - fore example Senator Obama's desire is to enhance and expand the absolute control of government schools to program and indoctrinate America's children in the ways of Secular Humanism and in Socialism and in all liberal causes. So, I ask who is really more profane?

Actually all of the seven announced Democrat candidates and I would include the top tier GOP candidates all profess to some degree various degrees of support for many profane issues. Only when you get to the real conservatives like Representatives Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo, Governor Huckabee and Senator Brownback do you begin see a rise in elevation above the political swamp slime as far as frim stands on the important social and poltical issues facing America.

Border Double Crossing

Here I am doing my laundry on Friday night at the local laundromat and I start reading the newspaper I just purchased. As usual the newspaper was devoid of much real meat and potato articles, only crime and assorted tasteless vegan fluff and cotton candy stories. I checked out the Opinion Page looking for a column by Kathleen Parker or Ann Coulter instead I read an article by Ruben Navarrette, “Worry more about closed minds than open borders.” I didn’t have to read past the headline to suspect that the author would go on and trivialize or minimize or pooh pooh America’s seriously unsecured southern border.

ONE FOOLISH AMERICAN

I wasn’t wrong. Mr. Navarrette, who gets paid to offer his opinion, is apparently a hysterical Hispanic liberal who is blind to the flood of illegals invading America. His article ignores the fact that the majority of 20 million illegals in this country are Hispanic. He ignores the fact that they are law-breakers. He just rambles on about how hard working the U.S. born Hispanics are etc. Like President Bush and Congress he does not want to come to grips with the fact that the borders must be secured so no more illegals invade.

I have no problem with Hispanics, Blacks or anyone pursuing the American dream, as long as they enter legally and they are loyal to this country and not to some foreign nation like Mexico or Saudi Arabia, or ideology such as communism or Islamo-fascism. Liberals tend to ignore the facts and play on the emotions. The facts are the borders need to be secured, our current immigration laws are being enforced and the law-breaking corporations and businesses that employee and use the illegals near-slaves are not punished by our government agencies including our courts.

What nerve the President and Congress have in saying that the Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Amnesty-in-Disguise) Bill will solve the immigration problem. It will not. It is another double cross. They lied about the border fence they approved just after the peoples’ outcry before the November 2006 elections and have not built any significant portion of that promised fence yet. Why should we believe their promises today?

ONE SENSIBLE AMERICAN

I was somewhat heartened when I saw on the same Opinion Page of the newspaper I was reading, a letter to the editor which said more than Navarrette’s article discussed above and with fewer words. “Seal our country’s borders” wrote Richard D. Manuel of Columbus, who is not paid for his opinion like Navarrette is . He wrote in part, “Don't they get the message? Do they speak a different language than us? Or, are they being paid so much money by special interest groups that they are willing to shred the Constitution and give away what used to be the most respected country in the world? "They” are the occupant of the White House -- whose approval rating hovers at 29 percent -- and his co-conspirators of both parties in the Senate and House, whose ratings are at 23 percent. . .”

Manuel goes on and talks about the unsecured borders as being one key issue that average Americans are trying to get across to their leaders as being of utmost import to them. I agree with what Manuel when he says, “. . . (W)e want our borders sealed up tight, with arrests, fines and jail time for those who enable foreign invaders by smuggling them in and providing them employment at slave wages . . .” He rejects the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill saying, “Americans have seen that previous (immigration reform, amnesty and border fence) legislation hasn't been enforced, so we don't trust the liars in Washington to secure our country's borders. . . “

Finally, Manuel concludes his letter to the editor saying, “I urge Americans to call their representatives every hour on the hour and harass them until they get the message. . .” That is, indeed, A Good Choice Mr. Manuel.

Two Short Blurbs

I heard a blurb about the SEC changing its rules about accounting practices. Foreign corporations doing business in America are no longer subject to American accounting law, but only international accounting law. Foreign investors beware!

I heard a blurb about Paris Hilton saying that she found God. We should pray for her. The Bible says that the “Law of the Lord is perfect for converting soul.” Pray that her legal conviction will bring about spiritual conviction and a broken and contrite heart. Psalm 119:71 says, "It is good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees."

Also, if anyone read my last post before Sunday night, I changed it because of something that I had said that was not right. I would like to thank "Sam" again for pointing this out to me.

The Imaginigration Bill, A Shamnesty

T.D. again forwarded a very informative email to us. The information below presents data from the usually liberally-biased L.A. Times newspaper, which would tend to downplay the crisis or understate the illegal alien problem, if anything. This same information holds true for other states as well. If the following information does not smack you between the eyes and shed some badly needed light on the current immigration dilemma, nothing will.

Unfortunately, nearly nothing in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill (S. 2611) (AMNESTY) now being ramrodded through the Senate, despite the peoples outcry to the contrary, would change the picture significantly. No matter how much Bush, Kennedy, Kyl, Lott and Graham propagandize and pimp this bill otherwise, they deliberately deceive and lie about the affects of this bill. They made promises in the past to secure the border and are not to be trusted at all that they will comply with any new provisions or promises. Until our borders are secured and our current laws are enforced, creating new laws and new bureaucracies will compound and not correct the immigration problem. Congress continues to insult the general public in claiming this bill will solve anything.

Let's get a snapshot at what the illegal alien immigration has done in the state of California. For as California goes, so goes the nation, so some say.

>>> 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

>>> 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

>>> 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

>>> Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

>>> Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

>>> Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

>>> The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

>>> Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

>>> 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County. )

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

Contact your U.S. Senators via phone, fax or email and urge them to vote against the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill (S2611) (AMNESTY). You know you could almost call this bill IMAGINIGRATION - because Bush and his hombres keep saying that "this is not amnesty." Good imagination guys, but I don't by your fantasy . . .

THE POLUTICIAN

There is the Statesman. There is the Politician. Then there is the Polutician. The third category of our elected officials is analogous to a pristine nature preserve that gets bombed by napalm. In their not so subtle defacement of the American cultural landscape, they collectively are a cut below Politicians. They are the bottom-feeders, the carp, of the elected officialdom. In fact, Poluticians are the people who really give Politicians much of their debased reputation. These are the most dangerous among our elected officials. These are those who actively work promoting ideas and ideologies that are antithetical to American values and principles. These people are so slick and stealth, saying with straight faces one thing, while fully intending to do another.

Like our Islamic enemies, they use deceit and lies as a basic tactic or strategy in gaining, using and retaining power. Chief among the Poluticians today are those who seek to do all they can to wittingly and willingly corrupt or destroy American history, traditions and values in the name of anything other than the Christian and Biblical moorings of our Forefathers. These people use and abuse their power promoting causes that undermine the core principles on which this country was built. Poluticians exist on both sides of the political aisle. However, most tend to be concentrated in the leadership of the Democrat Party and fringe parties like the American Communist Party, etc. Two active and representative examples of Poluticians today are:

· Senator Edward Kennedy, D-MA
· Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton, D-NY

These two people will stop at nothing to remake America into a socialist totalitarian state, of which Stalin or Mao would be proud. Take any issue, education, health care, welfare, homosexual “rights” and promotion of its perversity, and the war on terror, or immigration and you will find them on the wrong side of what our Forefathers fought, bled and died. Senators Kennedy and Rodham-Clinton want widespread government expansion and control at any and all costs. Instead of protecting rights they take away freedoms. What truly puzzles me is how these two and others like them with their perverse and destructive platforms keep getting elected. Enough of the public obviously has bought and swallowed their sweet, yet poisonous elixir.

They are almost universally on the wrong side of what is right morally and ethically, if not legally. In conjunction with the biased mainstream media hey literally force feed our children and our citizens with a daily pabulum of lies. They contend that women have a “right to kill their babies”, they claim homosexuals have a “right to not only live their unhealthy, unnatural and immoral lifestyles, but are entitled to special protected classification such as do the aged or the black person,”

Furthermore, Rodham-Clinton speaking this Spring at the annual radical homosexual activist Human Rights Campaign annual board meeting said to this group that the White House will be wide open to them when she is elected President. While Senator Ted Kennedy has relentlessly pursued passage of various “hate crimes” bills all of which are ultimately directed at silencing all speech deemed critical or condemning of the anti-biblical, godless immoral, unnatural, unhealthy destructive behavior. More, both Senators insist homosexuals have a right to indoctrinate and subvert the children going to government schools in their perverse behavior.

Both Poluticians have sought rigorously to establish and support Secular Humanism as the state religion, while all the time restricting, ridiculing and ruing anyone who dares to live and to share his or her Christian faith in public. Rodham-Clinton even dares to align herself while speaking in a black church in Alabama recently calling herself a “sister in the Lord” which is pure blasphemy! It’s a case of playing to the crowd . . . when with the Christians be a “Christian” when with the secular humanists, perverse, atheists, be the same . . . Not only is she a carpetbagger, she is a chameleon, too.

Poluticians (or maybe a better term would P-U-ticians) stink to high heaven. These putrid Poluticians actively seek to undermine, to wreck the America of our Founders. They literally shake their fist in the face of God and “evil” Christians and say to God, Jesus Christ and Christians “You have no right to exist” and “You interfere with our grand plan to install a universal secular-humanistic socialist utopia here in America and on earth.”

To summarize this three-part series then, there are three types or classes of elected officials:

· The great Statesman, who puts principle and the public good before politics
· The mediocre Politician, who puts himself or herself before all else
· The vile Polutician, who actively seeks to transform our democratic-republic form of government into a socialist state ultimately leading to loss of our sovereignty as a nation and bowing to some "greater" global utopia.

2008 will be a time when we need to begin to purge the Poluticians and even the Politicians from American government and political scene and to elect true Statesman-leaders regardless of party affiliation. Otherwise we have a Bill Clinton or an Ayatollah Ali Khamenei lead one-world government to look forward to, which would be nothing short of hell on earth.

Too Many Politicians Like Jimmy Carter

Saturday, in my blog article I asked the question “Is every Politician an unprincipled liar?” I added that, unfortunately, the common perception of most people, I think, is that most lawyers and car salesmen, Politicians are corrupt. Does’t it just come with the territory?

“Are there any true Statesmen on the political scene today in America?” There are some, but to be like a William Wilberforce it takes real guts to stand against the tide. “What is the difference between a true Statesman and a Politician? A Statesman is a respected, principle political leader. Today we will look at the second category of elected officials, the Politician.

THE POLITICIAN

The majority of our elected representatives fall into the Politician classification. These are basically unprincipled or wrong-principled people, who will say and do anything to get and remain elected. They are driven their own selfish interests or agendas or by polls not longstanding American principles or values. You really cannot count on them to be consistent in their positions. Sometimes they operate on their own selfish interest or hidden agenda. President Jimmy Carter, pictured above, is a typical political hack, a typical Politician. One definition of political hack is, "a politician who belongs to a small clique that controls a political party for private rather than public ends . . ."

· Senator John McCain

I voted for President Bush because I thought that he was a strong conservative and a true man of faith. However, especially since his second election and with his stealth foray making secret agreements to undermine American sovereignty with his move toward the North American Union and his deliberate deceit in regard to securing our southern borders, he has earned, in my mind at least, the designation of Politician. He is not a true Statesman. He has remained somewhat consistent on his pro-life, pro-faith and pro-family positions. However, he has not championed these positions to the extent that he did the Medicare Drug giveaway, "No Child Left Behind" or Amnesty for illegal aliens. He was courageous in taking action against Islamic-terrorism at least early on in his presidency. But he has not been consistent in neither social issues, fiscal issues nor in dealing with the immigration problem.

None of the seven Democrat Presidential candidates and none of the top three GOP candidates could be considered Statesman. The top three tier GOP presidential candidates are no better than Politicians. In fact, nearly all the Democrat Party candidates for President and Republicans Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney may even qualify to be a Poluticians based on their unclear and past voting records on the meaningful social issues – abortion and traditional marriage protection. We will define and discuss Poluticians, the third classification of elected representatives, more tomorrow, God willing. My feeling is that Romney and Giuliani, like George W. Bush say what they think most of the potential voters want to hear, not what they truly believe. It is awfully suspicious that Romney now is pro-life and pro-traditional marriage. Elections sometime cause “religious” and political conversions.

Senator McCain defines politician. He is a moderate on most issues trying to keep a foot on both sides of the fence. He is not someone I ever trusted. He cannot be trusted. His antics with the gang of fourteen personified what Politicians do best – compromising principles for political gain or expediency or publicity or one-up-man-ship.

GOOD NEWS FOR DAD

The morning message which I heard in church this morning was based on four biblical admonishions repeated throughout scripture to everyone regarding relating to our earthly fathers:

(1) Honor them - respect them, value them

(2) Listen to them - listening involves our wills, hearing merely involves our ears

(3) Obey them - they offer guidance, protection and wise advice

(4) Bring joy to them - we do this by demonstrating that we live our lives making wise choices

For the true Christian we can apply the above sermon outline to our relationship with our heavenly Father, God Almighty, who deserves - (1) all the glory, honor and respect due Him, (2) attention by listening to Him through reading, studying and meditating on His word, the Bible , (3) conforming our lives to Biblical standards, and (4) continuously seeking to do what is right living by biblical standards and principles.

Statesman, Politician or Polutician? Part 1

Where are Statesmen like William Wilberforce?

Is every Politician an unprincipled liar? Unfortunately, the common perception of most people, I think, is that most lawyers, Politicians and car salesmen are corrupt. Doesn’t just come with the territory? This caused me to ask myself a couple of question. “Are there any true Statesmen on the political scene today in America?” “What is the difference between a true Statesman and a Politician, if any? In this brief series of articles, we will explore the three categories into which our elective officials fall. Today we will talk about Statesmen.

THE STATESMAN

The dictionary defines a Statesman as one who is wise and experienced in the business of government. I think that a Statesman is also a respected leader in government and in the political arena; he or she is respected by those likeminded as well as those many in the ranks of the opposition. William Wilberforce pictured above was an outstanding Statesman in England. See the article, which I wrote about him earlier this year.

These men and women, I am afraid, are very rare breed, indeed. They are greatly needed, but hardly ever appreciated. They consistently put principles above convenience or political expediency or political correctness. These people honor truth. These people believe in moral absolutes. These people are visionaries. These people understand America’s republican democratic roots, its principles and its values. A Statesman wants to build up and upon and not to destroy the foundation.

Whereas Politicians and Poluticians (I will define this term in a subsequent article in this series. Here is a clue, “PU”. ) pimp patriotism merely to win points and to win votes. Conversely, Statesmen are the true patriots and their lives, positions, policies and their votes reflect consistently despite the obstacles. They persevere despite the opposition, despite the barriers, despite the odds.

Anymore, America seems not to want Statesmen, people who will honestly tell America or lead her in the ways of traditional, God-honoring values and truth. Statesman may lack the Hollywood-looks and charisma of the Politicians or Poluticians but they have the real character qualities such as honesty, courage and force of will to stand for principles, for what is good, for what is right.

Examples of statesmen today are really hard to come, but here are a few:

· Representative Duncan Hunter, R-CA
· Representative Tom Tancredo, R-CO

These two men, from all I know about them so far, whether they are serving while their party is in the majority or while their party is in the minority in Congress, have stuck to their guns and beliefs and have not wavered. They are not swayed and driven by polls, politics but by core principles. These men have persistently supported and lead on the most important issues of our time: pro-life, preservation of traditional marriage, and opposition to law-breaking illegal aliens and law-breaking greedy businesses.

Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) may also be included in this category, even though I do not agree with him on the issue of war on terrorism in Iraq and some of his other libertarian views. Furthermore, Governor Mike Huckabee and Senator Sam Brownback, (R-KS) both of whom are running for President may be close to being Statesmen. I am still researching and learning about these two men.

I pray that one of the four persons mentioned above, Hunter, Tancredo, Brownback or Huckabee, or maybe even someone like Senator Fred Thompson would be that true conservative of character and principle, who would emerge out of the GOP primaries and challenge what will be a sure radical leftist Democrat candidate. None of the current crop of 7 Democrats and the so-called top three tier GOP candidates have the potential to be true Statesmen. They are Politicians or political hacks at best.

The Love of David and Jonathan

This post was edited 6/17/07. I would like to thank Merrill "Sam" Keiser, Jr. for pointing out an oversight that I had made in my original draft of this article. I had said, "Secondly, there is no such passage anywhere in the Bible. Schori is willing to stoop to tell an outright lie to support her position." This was in reference to the statement, “David loved Jonathan with a love that exceeded the love of a woman.” Sam pointed out to me that there is such a passage in II Samuel 1:26. Concerning my statement below about "cultural context", he said this:

Dislike of homosexuality is cultural; you could have been more severe on her. This implies that God is a local god and not the God of the universe. His law is not confined by culture but transcends all people. She is in denial of this.

Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, the head of the Episcopal Church defended her liberal positions in an interview on Bill Moyers’ Journal.

Agape love does not mean the same thing as eros love. The scripture says three times (I Samuel 18:1, 3, 20:17) that “…he [Jonathan] loved him [David] as his own soul.” There is no mention of a sexual relationship. When Jonathan “stripped himself of the robe that was upon him,” (I Samuel 18:4) it reasonable to say that this was a gesture acknowledging that David was to be the successor to throne of Israel even though Jonathan was the one who was the son of the king. They kissed each other (I Samuel 20:41), but there are many other such instances of males kissing each other in emotional moments in which no one would think that it was an erotic type of kiss (e.g. Genesis 45:15).

When questioned about passages in the Bible which condemn homosexuality, Schori remarked that one needs to “consider the cultural context” of these passages. With that kind of reasoning, you can justify anything and might as well throw your Bible in the trash. She talked with much hopefulness about working to heal the rift between her churches and the more conservative branches of the Anglican Church which condemn homosexuality, particularly those in Africa. She said that she has made the decision to not allow anymore homosexuals into the priesthood at this time, but only in the interest of keeping her church unified. She says that the homosexuals in her church who want to be priests must “bear this cross” for the time being.

Schori also said that Mary Magdalene was not considered a prostitute until later “traditions” of the church which sought to downplay her role (and that of women in general) in forming the church. She used to be a marine biologist and is fully indoctrinated into the teaching of evolution. Is the Bible God’s Word or isn’t it, Mrs. Schori?

McConnell Must Stop Mad March To Amnesty

Here is the text of the email message I sent to Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) this morning. He is the leader of the Republican Party in the United States Senate and is apparently listening to President Bush and appears to be leading GOP senators astray to approving amnesty.

DEAR SENATOR MCCONNELL:

As the leader of the Republicans in the Senate I ask you to end your support for the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill. Please do not cave into the Bush Administration's and lobbyists pressure for passage of this unnecessary and flawed bill. This bill is bad for America.

Where is the fence voted on prior to last year's General Election? President Bush promised to do something about the southern border security. The Senate promised to do something about our southern border security. NOTHING has been done. President Bush lied. The Senate lied. This bill is terrible. It is amnesty for illegal aliens.

Please change your mind and reject this bill and do all you call to stop its passage.

What most Americans want is SECURE OUR BORDERS, first and foremost, then ENFORCEMENT of CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAWS, and then DEPORTATION OF ILLEGAL ALIENS who have committed crimes, one at a time. FINE and/orJAIL all law-breaking business-owners/managers that hire and aid and abet illegal aliens. Only then should any consideration be given to guest worker or any additional immigration reform. However, we should never again even consider amnesty.

The government bureaucracy is not doing an effective job handling the current immigration problem, procedures and laws, how in the world can it be trusted to handle a vast expansion of immigration laws? This is wrong.

This bill is amnesty without proof that ANYTHING will be done about our border security, enforcement or effectively dealing with criminal illegal aliens here and now. NO AMNESTY.

Please, I urge you to stop this foolish march toward amnesty and instead, permanently stop the unrestrained, continued illegal alien invasion.

Last week fellow blogger Matt wrote an article entitled, 'Prevention First Initiative" (Thursday, June 7, 2007), where he discussed Planned Parenthood's attempt to further enrich itself through shaking down politicians for more of the taxpayers would be blood-money. COMMENTS ON THE PPFA ANNUAL REPORT

In reviewing this latest financial report of the heinous baby-slaughtering Planned Parenthood Federation of America the following are my observations:

· My tax money supports this subversive, ungodly organization whose primary task is the destruction of human life – especially the eugenic genocide especially of black babies.

· 5.3% of PPFA’s expenses are for LOBBYING activities of which I and other taxpayers fund over one third. The American Life League (ALL) reports that government officials have now given over $3.5 billion o our money to Planned Parenthood just since 1987.

· 5% of the fundraising, which probably includes marketing and PR and propaganda materials which is funded 1/3 by my tax dollar along with other taxpayers.

Through these lobbying and fundraising activities Planned Parenthood is working throughout the county to increase its taxpayer funds at every level. It feels it is entitled to our tax money.

· Over 5,000 babies are exterminated weekly by this most inhumane organization

Furthermore, it is just outrageous that this organization, PPFA, is pocketing $50 and $60 million dollars of "profit" in their baby-killing business and our tax dollar continues to subsidizes them by providing 1/3 of their funding. This is a horrible black mark on this nation. It is to our great shame that we have allowed this to happen and to continue in greatly God-blessed nation.

TAKE ACTION AGAINST PPFA NOW

The pro-life movement desperately needs everyone in the country who is upset with Planned Parenthood to sign the official stop Planned Parenthood tax funding petition at www.StopPlannedParenthoodTaxFunding.com. The flow of 300 million taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood has to be stopped. Please take action today. Since our elected officials won’t do their job, it is up to us.

I was deeply troubled to learn that the so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) – legislation that provides homosexuals with special privileges and powers in the workplace – has been put on the fast track by Barney Frank and other radical leftists Democrats.

This bill – and the view of sexuality that underlies it – is contrary to the moral code to which Americans have always subscribed. In attacking the institution of marriage and the family, the homosexual/lesbian “rights” movement has declared war on society itself. But moreover, the real and dark purpose behind this draconian bill is not to stop non-existent "discrimination" against homosexuals in the workplace -- since you can not stop something that does not exist in the first place -- but rather to silence small business owners and Americans who practice deeply held religious beliefs.

Consider the following scenario. For years, Mom and Dad -- church-going Bible-believers -- have operated a candy store on the corner of Main and Reagan. After school and on Saturdays, the place is swarming with children and their parents. When they advertise for a clerk, the leader of the local "homosexual/lesbian rights" movement applies for the job, he tells Mom and Dad: "You're Christian bigots and if you don't hire me, I'll haul you into court." Mom and Dad have three choices:

(1) They can hire him, knowing that when they do, the children will stop coming around, and count the days until they lose their business.

(2) They can fight him in court, spend thousands of dollars in legal fees with no hope of winning. and count the days until they go out of business

(3) They can decide NOT to count the days and simply take the shingle down and go out of business the next day.

Decent, normal Americans are demanding that conservatives use every parliamentary maneuver available to stop this bill from passing. We won’t tolerate any pussyfooting, any attempt to appease the homosexual lobby by approving ANY pro-homosexuality legislation. Conservative legislators are already skating on thin ice. Don’t make the mistake of assuming you can let ENDA slip through Congress without the very deleterious consequences.

Here are some of the things ENDA, if passed, would bring about:

>>>Under ENDA, the FBI would be forced to investigate organizations like the Boy Scouts and haul them into federal court, where they would be fined and told to recruit homosexual Scoutmasters or disband
immediately;

>>>give the federal government new and unprecedented power in the workplace, particularly over small businesses. (The whole purpose of ENDA is to generate lawsuits against "homophobic" businesses and force them to accept homosexuality as a normal, natural, and healthy form of recreation);

>>> elevate sodomy to the level of marital relations, punish anyone who thinks otherwise, and protect men who dress up like women and people who undergo "sex change" operations;

>>> turn America into freak show, a sexual zoo teeming with nauseating behavior contrary to the tenets of Christianity, Judaism, and the other great religions of the world;

>>> prohibit employers from taking sexual conduct (and misconduct) into consideration when hiring or firing employees in charge of the young, -- e.g., teachers and child care workers;

>>>give homosexuals special rights and protections -- protections that are not based on race, color, creed or sex, but rather bestowed on individuals based on their behavior.

I have said it before our activist courts together with radical leftist leaders in the Democrat Party, academia and the main stream media have conducted an onerous and relentless campaign to make homosexuality generally acceptable. This is in spite of the fact that homosexuality is abnormal, unnatural, immoral and unhealthy. ENDA is just another tool used in the homosexual activists’ bag of tricks to bring the nation to ruin.

“Homosexual/Lesbian/Transgender/Transvestite Rights” or “A Woman’s Right to Kill Her Baby (Abortion)” or the so-called concept of “Separation of Church and State” and the derived “Right To Not Be Offended By Religious Symbols In The Public Square” are fabricated rights. They are definitely not grounded in the U.S. Constitution. They are antithetical to it. Therefore, here and now is where the line must be drawn in the sand. Enough is enough, no more apathetic acquiescence, no more appeasement to the radical leftists and their various and sundry harmful and anti-American causes.
