First I would like to comment more on the “do yourself and us a favor…” statement. This comment expresses the idea that Mr. Keiser’s being in the Democratic Party is poor political strategy. But if winning souls for Christ is the real goal, then it is not bad strategy at all. God may be using him to give evil people a chance to repent.
Secondly, the remark was made that “we (liberals) are for helping people” as if they are helping people and we are not. It all depends on what you mean by “helping people”. You can “help people” into hell. Born again Christians help people the way God defines it, by saving people from hell. Liberals use the government to force people to do “helpful” things, but II Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Jesus said of “the experts in the law”: “…woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.” and “…you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.” (Luke 11:46, 52) Do yourself and me a favor and click this link.

Cyber News Service News had an interesting article today entitled, "Conservatives Accuse Watchdog Group of 'Christianophobia'" [see http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200610/CUL20061006a.html ] It seems that an extreme liberal, Geoge Soros'-financed group is trying to intimidate Christians, who are participating in the political process, the article states in part:
"Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, said CREW [Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington] is "targeting people who represent millions and millions of Christians, and this is clearly an attempt to harass and to intimidate."
""They don't want Christians to turn out and vote," she said. "What they really want us to do is turn in our voter ID cards and just say, 'Hey, we're not going to show up at the polls.'
""I think this will only anger the millions of people these people represent," said Lafferty."
It seems that Soros's CREW wants access under the Freedom of Information Act the number of times that nine Cristian Leaders vistited the White House. The following Christian Leadrs were included in CREW's list:
* James Dobson
* Don Wildmon
* Jerry Falwell
Tony Perkins of the Family Research Center, who is also on CREW;s list in an email I received today said, ". . . CREW is implying that Christians should be locked out of the White House. While we have nothing to hide, CREW may have its own hidden agenda. CREW claims that on July 21 they sent the FBI copies of emails from Mark Foley to a 16-year-old former House page. Yet they waited until September 29--just over a month before the elections--to request a House Ethics Committee investigation into Rep. Foley. Such suspect timing is one of the reasons we have called for an investigation that includes the role of outside groups and why they withheld this information from the Ethics Committee and the public until now."
