“Hate Crimes” Bill, a Faux Pas

John Tiffany writes today in an AmericanFreePress.net article, “On Jan. 5, liberal Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (DTexas) reintroduced so-called “hate crimes” legislation in Congress. The bill is numbered H.R. 254. “Hate” crimes laws—the brainchild of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of B’nai B’rith—are found in states and locales across America, but this new measure in Congress would enact a federal hate crime statute.”Essentially, hate crimes laws would add additional criminal penalties upon anyone convicted of a crime against an individual when that crime, according to the proposed legislation, is “motivated by the actual or perceived race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or disability of the victim.”

"In short, although there are already laws against shooting someone and killing them—it’s called murder—if a perpetrator is found to have committed that crime because of an alleged bias against the victim, it would now be considered a federal crime because of that bias. There will be at least an additional 10 year federal penalty applied, even if— for example—someone only punched another person. If death results in the course of such a so-called “hate” crime being committed, a life sentence in prison is provided for under this federal legislation.”

Hate crimes legislation is (1) unnecessary, (2) a way for homosexuals to have their immoral, unnatural behavioral choices legitimized and (3) stifling to free speech and religious expression.

First, as the above article points out, there are already laws on the books against assault and of murder. Homosexuals are no better than any other human being or class of human beings, in fact their behavior is not only repugnant and immoral, unnatural it is condemned by most major religions in the world. Homosexuals do not deserve any special class treatment or protections. Furthermore, they insult black American and women when they declare “sexual orientation” to be a civil rights issue.

Second, homosexuals desperately want to legitimize, justify, certify their immoral lifestyle. In essence they want the government and society to “bless” their debased behavior. Like abortion, which codified the acceptability of the slaughtering innocent pre-born human beings, homosexuals hope to similarly make “legit” their evil practices. These two, abortion and assimulating homosexuality into society are the two great evils hanging over America today like a threatening black storm cloud, a veritable tsunami in the making.

Third, once hate crimes legislation is enacted, as it has already been in Canada and France, for example, simply quoting or preaching the Biblical principles or standards or precepts about homosexual practices could land you a fine and even jail time. This is one of the real purposes behind this deceptive law. Homosexuals do not want their sin pointed out. We all want our sins to remain hidden. This is only natural. As with all other sinful behavior or crimes we may commit (adultery, theft, illicit drug sales, pedophilia or any of a number of other sins to long to enumerate here) homosexuality is wrong and should be condemned. Next we will want to legalize theft or pedophilia. ]

Tiffany concludes his article stating, “. . . because the Democrats are in control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, there will be an even greater push to get the legislation enacted.

". . . (Urge) those who oppose this insidious legislation to redouble their efforts to block H.R. 254 so that it never reaches the floor of the House. H.R. 254 has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee, and . . . (Suggest) (we) contact all members of the committee and urge that they oppose the legislation. . . keep your message short and to the point: “Please don’t vote for the David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act, H.R.254. . . .”

"You can write all of the representatives in question (as well as your own representative and every member of the House) in care of the following general address: U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, DC 20515. To telephone members of the House, you may use the regular number for the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 1-(202) 224-3121. Or there is a toll free number you may use: 1-877-851-6437."

A faux pas is a social blunder, which is exactly what we would have if we passed the "hate crimes" bill currently fomenting in the U.S. Congress. Make A Good Choice and urge the members of the House Judiicary Committee and your Congressman or Congresswoman to vote against the David Ray Hate Prevention Act.
