James O’Keefe Visits Ohio in Medicaid Russian Drug Smuggling Investigation

In June James O’Keefe, the undercover investigator who exposed Planned Parenthood misbehavior, visited the offices of the Ohio Job and Family Services Department, which manage the Medicaid welfare program, in Franklin (Columbus), Marion and Madison Counties here in Ohio.

The embedded YouTube video below is Part One of O’Keefe’s Project Veritas' latest investigation which was just released nationwide on Monday morning.

In the video O’Keefe and company expose some flagrant examples of Medicaid fraud and abuse. Maybe Governor John Kasich needs to trim some more from Ohio’s Medicaid Budget as a result of these revelations. And maybe some workers need to go.

Here is an excerpt from an email I received about the video:

On the tape you'll see how our undercover investigators were literally coached through the application process for Medicaid benefits by state workers in Ohio, even AFTER explaining that their income from dealing illegal drugs was much too high to qualify for public assistance.

When asked about whether they should report a vehicle valued at nearly $1 million, Franklin County Medicaid officer Traci Daniels told our reporters, "If it's not something registered here, maybe I just wouldn't mention it. Not that I can say that. You didn't hear that from me."

At another office in Madison County, Medicaid worker Robin Johnson assured our investigators that their immigration status would not prohibit them from collecting benefits. "Even if we run into people that are illegal aliens, it's not like we report them to INS or anything," she said.

While the whole world watches Congress and the president bicker over our nation's debt ceiling, nobody in Washington has asked the obvious question: Where did all that money go in the first place?

Now we know the answer. The only question left is: What are we going to do about it?
