I began a series of articles yesterday (See Part I), which are based primarily on the God-insulting, impertinent, insolent responses of Rev. Richard Cizik, the VP of Governmental Affairs with the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), in an interview he gave to the NPR radio show (Fresh Air) hostess Terri Gross. This post contains a reprint (with permission) of an important commentary by journalist Bill Wilson, who writes a terrific daily news commentary called the Daily Jot. Mr. Wilson’s article addresses Cizik in the broader context of the growing apostasy in many so-called Christian churches and evangelical organizations in America.

Evangelicals in Sheep's Clothing--Beware of the Emergent Church

WASHINGTON—Dec 5—DJNS-- Three years ago I was asked by a very influential member of one of the largest pro-family organizations in America why I wrote that the National Association of Evangelicals was a liberal organization. I replied that in my covering of this organization in Washington, D.C., that its leaders were often at news conferences with those who were anti-God, sought to reduce the influence of ministries in the US and abroad, and that the NAE was beginning to espouse very liberal interpretations of the Bible. The man just shook his head in disgust that I would think his buddies were becoming apostate, and he chastised me for being too “opinionated” in my writing.

Aside from the little known or publicized news conferences where members of the NAE associated with those who were against enforcing immigration laws, went overseas to bash American positions on the environment, and supported the teaching of a watered-down version of the Bible in public schools that promoted Islam as worshipping the one true god, we are now seeing that the NAE does not represent the Bible and its evangelism is something far from the book of Acts. On December 2, the Washington face of the NAE, Richard Cizik told National Public Radio that “It would be possible for evangelicals to disagree with Barack Obama on same sex marriage and abortion and yet vote for him.”

Cizik was actually angling to justify a public admission that would explain NAE’s association with those trying to hijack the Bible’s intent on grace and mercy by supporting leftist and socialist views on issues like immigration and climate change. On the subject of homosexual marriage Cizik told NPR, “I'm shifting I have to admit. In other words I would willingly say that I believe in civil unions. I don't officially support redefining marriage from its traditional definition, I don't think. . .

“Maybe we need to reevaluate this and look at it a little differently. I'm always looking for ways to reframe issues. Give the biblical point of view a different slant."

A “different slant” is where a lot of so-called evangelicals are making their move. In “Faith Undone”, Roger Oakland’s book about the “Emergent church”, Rick Warren is quoted regarding a meeting with Eric Sawyer, the leader of the radical gay activist group, ACT-UP. Warren asked Sawyer, “How can I help you get your message out?” Sawyer replied, “Use your moral authority.” Warren responded, “I’m working with these guys.” Jesus warned in Matthew 24:24, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Jesus warned in the beginning of the chapter, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Beware of the emergent church and the false prophets.”

In other words, Rev. Cizik is straying from the narrow way (if indeed, he was ever on it) to the broad road that leads to perdition and sadly, he is bringing many with him. Matthew 7:13-15 (NASB) reads:

Last Friday, OneNewsNow reporter Allie Martin wrote a story titled, “Outspoken pastor confronts Microsoft execs.” In it he relates that last month black pastor, Ken Hutchison of the Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland, Washington attended the annual Microsoft stockholders meeting where he confronted Microsoft founder Bill Gates and CEO Steve Ballmer and board members about their support and financing of homosexual activist groups. In his article Martin tells that Hutcherson brought up the recent protests by radical homosexuals against the outcome of the ballot imitative, Proposition 8, in which California voters settled the question that marriage was the exclusive domain of one-man, one-woman relationship.

In the article Microsoft stockholder Hutcherson explained, "And my question to Microsoft . . . (why are we) . . . supporting, with millions and millions of dollars, a group that has proven to be intolerant, that has proven to be hateful, violent, and [prejudiced] towards African Americans, [Opponents of the voter initiative] are now calling African Americans who voted for Prop. 8 by 'the N-word.'"

He was further quoted in the article as saying, "You know what they (Microsoft officials) said afterward? . . . 'Well, we have voted to continue our charitable gifts. That's why I'm saying I'm not going to stop because they have proven to be hypocrites. And if it was any other group, they would have stopped it immediately."

TAKING ACTION

Martin concludes his story saying that Pastor Huticherson is “urging concerned Christians to purchase shares in companies like Microsoft who support the pro-homosexual cause and to request that they stop supporting intolerant groups."

Mr. Obama’s Eligibility to be Aired Monday in DC

Monday: WTP Press Conference in DC

As planned, on Monday, December 8, WTP will conduct a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

Yesterday (Thursday 12/4/08), we issued a press release about the event. We sent the release to approximately 400 media outlets, including those on the attached list. The press conference will feature three of the attorneys behind cases now at the Supreme Court.

Almost immediately, the Wall Street Journal posted a item on its “Market Watch.”

We expect a fair amount of press coverage. On Monday morning the Supreme Court will also release its decision regarding whether to hear the case by attorney Leo Donofrio who challenged the failure of the New Jersey secretary of state to verify the eligibility of the Presidential candidates scheduled to appear on the ballot.

The press conference is scheduled (Today, Monday, 12/8/08) to begin at 1:30 pm.

Open Letter Ignites Large Public Interest

As planned, on Monday and Wednesday of (last) week, WTP published the full-page Open Letter to Mr. Obama in the Chicago Tribune. The letter respectfully requests that he direct the state of Hawaii to provide access to his original 1961 (“vault”) birth certificate, and that he arrange for delivery to the National Press Club of certain other documents, all for the purpose of providing evidence of his eligibility.

The public response and attention by the media, has been nothing short of astonishing.

Apparently, the publication of the Open Letter and huge reaction it generated has largely forced the media to finally acknowledge the existence of the Obama citizenship controversy, apparently abandoning the desires of their collective management to smother the story.

Almost immediately after the paper hit the streets of Chicago Monday morning, requests started coming in for interviews from print, broadcast and on-line news outlets, including several clear- channel (reserved frequency, high-wattage AM) radio stations from around the country. It’s been non-stop all week. Here is a link to an audio recording of a brief interview with WGN, Chicago’s leading 50,000 watt, clear-channel radio station.

On Tuesday, December 2, the Tribune’s local competitor, the Chicago Sun-Times published a column by Mary Mitchell about the open letter. Granted, columnists do take liberties, but her column was not only riddled with important factual errors, it was largely “over-the-top” and arguably inflammatory, referring to me indirectly as one of the “skinheads from Tennessee who planned to dress up in coattails and top-hats and go on a racist killing spree before targeting Obama.” In response, thousands of Chicagoans flooded the Sun-Times with their comments, both pro and con. I am preparing a rebuttal that will soon be sent to the paper as a suggested “guest essay.”

On Wednesday, the Tribune published a news article by Sara Olkon and James Janega about the Open Letter. It too, contained serious omissions, as well as false and misleading statements regarding critical parts of the citizenship controversy. In response, thousands of Chicagoans flooded the Tribune with their comments, pro and con. We are preparing a rebuttal to be submitted as soon as possible.

Is the NAE Becoming Like the NEA? Part 1

I became aware, through the Crosstalk America radio show, that Rev. Richard Cizik, a so-called Evangelical leader, who was interviewed on a National Public Radio (NPR) show last Tuesday. In listening to an archived version of that NPR radio show, I confirmed that his positions and ideas were very troublesome to any true believer of Jesus Christ. We will explore, in a series of articles starting today, what was discussed on that particular NPR radio show.

The NAE stands for the National Association of Evangelicals. The NAE is comprised of some 45,000 churches representing 50 denominations and 30 million constituents.

The NEA stands for the National Education Association, which is the major teachers’ union in America. They lobby on behalf of their member teachers. Unfortunately, the NEA has advocates, using its teachers’ dues, the most radical of liberal causes. Much of their advocacy works counter to the educating our children in the 3 Rs and does not improve the teachers' situation. Furthermore, the NEA has literally helped to destroy and to transform our educational system into one that is grossly inferior to that of most developed nations.

Through the course of this series of articles you will see that the ideology and priorities of these two apparently divergent organizations’ are beginning to merge.

REV. RICHARD CIZIK ON GOD AND GLOBAL WARMING

This so-called representative of Evangelicals, Richard Cizak, has profoundly upset a lot of true Christians, including myself, with statements made in an interview on the liberal National Public Radio show he gave last week. CizIk must have set out to make points with the outright liberal Fresh Air from WHYY program on December 2, 2008 hosted by Terri Gross.· The description on the NPR website summarizes this particular program, “Conservative Christian Richard Cizik preaches the message of environmentalism from a pro-life perspective. Cizik is the vice president for governmental affairs of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), a powerful lobbying organization . . .”

WHO DID YOU VOTE FOR FOR PRESIDENT?

Terri Gross, the host of the Fresh Air (actually Putrid Air would be more apt) stated that the environment and climate change have been priorities for Cizik. This she noted has put Cizik at odds with “older Evangelical leaders” and some in the Republican Party (duh!!!). To stir up the hornet’s nest quickly, she asked Cizik who he voted for President. His reply was that he voted for the “best choice” in the Virginia primary, and that was Democrat Barack Obama. He was evasive about whom he definitively voted for in the general election, but hinted that his primary vote was an “indication” of who he voted for in the general election. What a wonderfully politically correct answer!

Cizik went on to say that “all of us want this man to succeed, absolutely. If we don’t there is something wrong with us.” I wonder, Mr. Cizik, what do you mean by success? Do you mean passage of the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), granting amnesty to illegals, higher taxes, taking guns away from the people, increasing the national debt, surrendering our sovereignty to the United Nations through treaties such as Kyoto and LOST, surrendering victory in Iraq, permitting openly homosexual behavior in the military, creating a Hitler-style youth brigade to “protect” our neighborhoods, or buying into the global warming craze? That, sir, would not be success. Obama must be fought on these social and fiscal issues that matter to conservatives and Christians.

DOES FAITH MATTER?

Gross went on to ask a second provocative question, to which Cizik responded even more controversially. “How important is faith to you when you are voting?” Cizik answered, “I think it is very important, BUT it is not THE factor, nor should it be. Though there are those who by identity politics and culture war, they do that, and (they say) that is the most important factor. I say absolutely not. I say character first, of which faith is part, of course it helps determine one’s values. But there are other factors, such as the philosophy of government, two parties, two different philosophies, and lastly, the issues. So it is possible for me to disagree, for example, with a candidate on high profile issues, and still believe that on the basis of character or philosophy, he is the better of the two candidates. So, in this case, it would be possible, as Evangelicals did, to disagree with Barack Obama on same-sex marriage and abortion, and yet vote for him. We know they did. Not because of those positions (where) he stood, but in spite those positions."

Mr. Cizik, I ask you, “What are the character qualities that commend Obama to you? With what in the Democratic platform positions do you agree? Of the two platforms the GOP platform at least is strongly pro-life and pro-marriage, while the Democratic Party platform is severely lacking in substance on the social issues. For example, it states a woman has a "right" to kill her baby, but that we should support those women who choose to allow their babies to live. The Democratic platform is in total, morally deficient. I see Obama as being grossly inexperienced, ill prepared for the important office of President. His positions, policies, and beliefs are essentially evil. He had the most radically liberal record of all the Senators in Congress. He even favored the killing of babies born in botched abortion procedures. This was done in order to protect the liberal sacred cow, the woman’s right to murder her baby! It is inconceivable for me that ANY true follower of Jesus Christ would vote for a candidate like Obama. It would be precisely because of his lack of character and his lack of Biblically-based principles that I could never bring myself to vote for such a man.

Mr. Cizik, faith means absolute trust and dependence in God, in Jesus Christ as the only way to God and faith in Christian principles as outlined in Scripture, the ultimate guide to life and liberty. Faith is the foundation to a Christian’s life in all matters. At least it is for true Christ-followers.

TESTING THE FRUIT

Finally, in your Bible, Mr. Cizik, in Matthew 7:16-30 you will read,

"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits."

This, sir, is talking about Barack Obama. How can a man who believes that it is okay to abort babies for any reason and even to allow babies born alive to be killed. That man’s fruit is bad. That man’s character is bad. That man has no faith. You, Rev. Cizik seem to be a blind shepherd!

Today we conclude a two-part series dealing with a most atrocious late-term abortionist, George “Baby Killer” Tiller of Kansas. You could easily consider him grim Wizard or George the Ripper. This article also identifies one of the Wizard’s strongest political supporters, Kansas Governor and wicked witch, Kathleen Sebelius.

"Dear Friend of Operation Rescue and the Babies,

“The woman in the photo above needs your prayers.

“She is Kathleen Sebelius—the Governor of the great state of Kansas, which she has transformed into ‘the abortion capital of the free world.’

“As you know, Kansas is the home of the notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller—who gleefully kills babies up to the moment of birth.

“Women from all over America—and all around the world—come to Wichita, Kansas, to have George Tiller kill their viable, healthy (but ‘unwanted‘) babies in the third trimester of pregnancy.

“He kills their babies for ANY REASON AT ALL—despite the fact that Kansas state law has set very specific restrictions on late-term abortions.

“The law says that a late-term abortion cannot be performed unless there is a serious threat to the health or life of the mother. (I know it’s not a perfect law—but it’s the best we have right now. And some way to save babies is better than no way to save them. We’ll keep fighting until the day there are NO legal abortions!)

“As you know, we at Operation Rescue are currently involved in the fight to prosecute George Tiller for committing these ILLEGAL late-term abortions.

“Because of your support of our work—and the efforts of fellow pro-life activists in Kansas—George Tiller now faces a Grand Jury investigation and 19 criminal charges that could land him in jail for more than 19 years!

“However, throughout every step of the battle that we’ve been waging against George Tiller, ONE powerful force has stopped us time and time again…

“Governor Kathleen Sebelius!!!

“You see, Kathleen Sebelius is an ardent pro-abort.

“She’s a liberal feminist who’s never met an abortion she didn’t like.

“And… she’s never met an abortionist she didn’t like—especially George Tiller!!

“But I suspect that what Governor Sebelius really likes about George Tiller is his MONEY!

“As you know, every politician these days needs truckloads of money to get elected. And when Kathleen Sebelius first ran for Governor of Kansas back in 2002, George Tiller was quick to come forward and offer hundreds of thousands of dollars to her campaign.

“Why?

“Because he wanted PROTECTION.

“He wanted someone in the Governor’s mansion who would look out for his lucrative baby-killing interests—and keep him from getting prosecuted whenever he broke the law.

“That ‘someone’ was Kathleen Sebelius—who eagerly sucked up to Tiller… took his blood money… and proceeded to do his dirty work by using her power as the highest elected official in the state.

“First she appointed radical pro-aborts to the Kansas Supreme Court.

“Then she made appointments to the Board of Healing Arts and the Health Department so she controlled the only state agencies with abortion clinic oversight.

“Later, she vetoed every piece of legislation that might have impaired Tiller’s ability to kill babies!

“And then, when ‘the feathers hit the fan’ and Tiller came under fire from Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline for committing blatantly illegal late-term abortions, Kathleen Sebelius used every trick in the book and pulled every string imaginable to protect her single largest supporter, George Tiller.”

“Please pray righteousness will prevail regarding both Tiller and Sebelius. They must reap what they have sown. If by chance they get away with their crimes, there is a God in Heaven who will hold them accountable for every drop of blood that has been shed because of their behavior."

What more can be said about these two villains? There are many such alliances between abortionists and organizations that advocate them and politicians who have sold their souls for power, prestige and personal gain. Unfortunately and shamefully all this is at the tragic and costly expense of their fellow human beings.

On November 27, 2008 Charlie Butts filed a report on OneNewsNow concerning the infamous late-term abortionist Dr. George Tiller. He reported that preliminary hearings started in Wichita, Kansas, for the trial “Baby Killer” Tiller.

The OneNewsNow story relates, “LifeNews.com reports the final portion of Tiller's hearing will feature an abortion he allegedly performed on a 10-year-old girl and subsequently withheld information about her statutory rape from the authorities. So far, Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, says attorneys have been challenging witnesses and trying to discredit them.

“"There's no focus on the actual charges levied against Mr. Tiller, which are performing illegal late-term abortions," he contends. "But in fact he's trying to impeach the good character of the attorney general Phil Kline and his investigators, and even the fact that Operation Rescue contributed to this investigation."

“Newman says the hearings will resume in early January. "I do expect to have some sort of resolution on Mr. Tiller's motions some time before trial, which begins in March," he adds.

“Operation Rescue's sidewalk counseling at Tiller's abortion clinic, according to Newman, has had a significant influence. "We began to suppress his abortion business," he notes. "It's actually down 54 percent in the last six years."

Referring to the OneNewsNow article quoted above, Debra Moore wrote (George Tiller the Baby Killer) on November 28, 2008 in the ExposingLiberalLies blog, “For months now, I have written about President-elect Barack Obama’s votes supporting infanticide and about how only a monster could vote to neglect infants in need of medical attention as he did. Well, I’ve found another man who also has the characteristics of a monster; in fact, his actions are even more horrific than those of our next president. Who is this villain of whom I speak? It is “George Tiller the Baby Killer“, as he has been nicknamed.

“The Wichita, Kansas abortionist is known for performing late-term abortions, often using “the depression” of the mother to justify the abortion. He has been charged with 19 counts of performing illegal late-term abortions. This poor excuse for a doctor needs to be brought to justice for his horrifying actions all for the sake of greed.”

Moore adds, “Another factor of importance in this case is that Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is using her power to aid Tiller in his murdering of unborn babies. The political career of such an evil woman needs to be brought to a halt and soon. She was a contender for vice-president; but, thankfully she was not chosen, though she and Obama have much in common in their radical support for abortion."

Chelsea Schilling had a story ("Pravda raises Obama eligibility issue, Other media outlets begin reporting concerns over president-elect's citizenship status") yesterday on WorldNetDaily.com. regarding the questions swarming aroundthe status of the President-elite Barack Obama’s citizenship. She relates that the stories are beginning to spread over the Internet like wildfire. She wrote that some mainstream media outlets are beginning pick up on the issue. Up to now they have ignored this most important story. Even so-called conservative radio isn’t touching the story. Only bloggers and alternative conservative radio talk shows are looking in depth into the issue. ''

Schilling writes, “Even the Russian online newspaper Pravda featured a column about "the man with no visible past."

“"Barry Sotero, AKA Barack Obama, along with the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission have successfully ignored a Federal Lawsuit asking him to produce a valid Birth Certificate," the piece by Mark McGrew states. "When the time to respond to that lawsuit expired, under Federal Court Rules, they all admitted that he was not a citizen of The United States of America and deemed to have committed fraud. A normal man would have been found to have admitted he was not a U.S. citizen."

Schilling continues, “While McGrew acknowledges Obama is praised for his way with words, he warns, "Every con man walking free or in jail is an articulate speaker. Who would give their trust to a man who could not use the right words to convince his targets to trust him? Articulate speaking is no way to judge or rate the integrity of a person."

Even Pravda can see through the false premises and promises of this false prophet. Why couldn’t the 60 million blind sheep see through the lies?

Why is Pravda, which I still think would have Marxist tendencies under Putin's control wants to 'expose' comrade Obama? Could their positions still be to the right of the New York Times or the Los Angeles Times or the Democratic Party? I am puzzled by their position. At the same time I am disquieted by the deafening silence of the atrocious reporting and openly bias the American media has toward the messiah.

If the Constitution doesn't mean precisely what it says, then America is no longer a nation under the rule of law.

A nation no longer under the rule of law is, by definition, under the rule of men.

Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution clearly stipulates "No person except a natural born Citizen" shall be eligible to serve as president of the United States. That statement has clear meaning, and the Supreme Court of the United States is one of the controlling legal authorities in ensuring that the Constitution is enforced – even if doing so may prove awkward.

With the Electoral College set to make its determination Dec. 15 that Barack Hussein Obama Jr. be the next president of the United States, the Supreme Court is holding a conference Friday to review a case challenging his eligibility for the office based on Article 2, Section 1.

I urge you to take this matter most seriously – and judge it only on the clear, unambiguous words of the Constitution: A president must, at the very least, be a "natural born citizen" of the United States.

If you agree that this clear constitutional requirement still matters, the Supreme Court must use its authority to establish, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that Barack Hussein Obama Jr. qualifies for the office under that standard.

There is grave, widespread and rapidly growing concern throughout the American public that this constitutional requirement is being overlooked and enforcement neglected by state and federal election authorities. Freedom Snatched: A Tale of Two Toledoans, Part II

There are two cases concerning vicious attacks on individual rights and freedoms. Two Toledoans got in trouble by exercising their freedom of expression and speech. The first involves that from 15 minutes to forever fame Joe-the-Plumber. We discussed that case in Part I yesterday. Today we will look at the second case, which involves a black professional female, Crystal Dixon, who dared to utter a politically incorrect position. Being black, you would expect that she would be the most unlikely person to be accused of discrimination, but that was not the case.

So, what do these two Toledoans have in common? It is the abuse of their civil liberty. Where is the ‘American’ Civil ‘Rights’ Union (ACLU) when REAL violations of rights occur?

Crystal Dixon Sues University of Toledo

The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) in Ann Arbor, Michigan sent out an Alert yesterday titled, “University of Toledo Sued for Firing High Ranking Christian Official Who Expressed Her Biblical Views Against Homosexuality.” That kind of describes the gist of the situation. Mrs. Dixon was fired because her opinion was not politically correct, pure and simple.

The TMLC Alert stated, “Crystal Dixon, a high ranking African American official at the University of Toledo, was summarily fired in June of this year by the University because she wrote a newspaper commentary expressing her personal Christian views regarding homosexuality.

“Dixon was responding to an opinion article written by the editor-in-chief of the Toledo Free Press entitled, “Gay Rights and Wrongs.” In her private editorial, Dixon objected to the comparison of “gay rights” with the civil rights struggles of African Americans. She wrote, “As a Black woman... I take great umbrage at the notion that those choosing the homosexual lifestyle are ‘civil rights victims.’ Here's why. I cannot wake up tomorrow and not be a Black woman. I am genetically and biologically a Black woman and very pleased to be so as my Creator intended.”

“As a result of the University’s outrageous actions, the Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor Michigan, today filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court, Northern District of Ohio against the University, its President, and its Vice President for Human Resources and Campus Safety. The lawsuit claims violations of Dixon’s constitutional rights to free speech and equal protection of the law. . .

“Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Law Center commented, “It’s clear that radical homosexuals have an inordinate amount of influence over the University President. He openly brags about being friendly to ‘lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals.’ But he doesn’t care about the constitutional free speech rights of Christians.”

“Thompson observed, “Where is the so-called free expression of ideas and tolerance that universities so adamantly defend in other contexts? Crystal Dixon has a constitutional right to privately express her personal opinions, and this particular opinion represents the view of a majority of Christian Americans. Christians believe that homosexual acts are acts of grave depravity, contrary to natural law, and under no circumstances can they be approved. Christians also believe one must love the sinner, but hate the sin. Crystal Dixon believed and expressed this – essentially she was fired for being a Christian.”
Aggravating Dixon’s free speech violations is the claim that she had earlier questioned the University President’s insistence that his niece be hired to the exclusion of five more qualified candidates, including qualified minorities. The President’s niece was hired in the Human Resources Department where Ms. Dixon worked. . .”

I have written previously regarding this sordid, shameful, discrimination against Mrs. Dixon. I am grateful, too, that the TMLC has taken up this case and hope that the suit will literally and figuratively bankrupt the morally deficient UT leadership and the University of Toledo itself.

Rescue the Children from Government Indoctrination

There is a movement that is beginning to pick up speed. It stems from a need to save our Christian and conservative children from the increasingly corrupting influence of our public schools. The schools are essentially shaping the children into a worldview that is antithetical to Christian, family and American values, virtues, and principles.

For the last 80 years our taxpayer supported public schools have not only failed to instruct and to turn out world-class educated graduates, but they have succeeded in propagandizing our children into the Marxist and secular humanistic faith. The school environment created and now existing almost universally has become conducive to violence such as that demonstrated at Columbine in Colorado and recently repeated in many other locations across this nation. . .

EDUCATION ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL

The instruction in our schools is based, for the most part, on moral relativism, with no absolute right or wrong. Evolution is taught as fact and not merely as one pitiful, impertinent attempt at explaining the origins of life.

We must acknowledge that there are pockets of good in school districts throughout this land, there are excellent, caring, dedicated teachers. But the overarching bureaucracy and core leadership at the federal, state level and even in many local school boards, which govern, control and guide America’s educational system is essential corrupt, perverse and Marxist. The bureaucracy and the National Education Union (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) are not focused on the students’ best interest, but on promulgating a specific secularist, Marxist agenda which is antithetical to all that is truly American.

Our present system has contributed to the dumbing-down of America and not to the building up, or the meaningful education of America’s children. The system by its actions does not care for what is good for America or her children. The system unfortunately is bent on the destruction of the morality, historical Christian values, virtues and principles upon which this nation was founded. It is even revises American and world history to meet its specific despicable educational goals.

To continue to keep our children in the public schools will assure that they will become puppets and pawns of the state.

EDUCATION ON THE LOCAL LEVEL

Last night I attended a prayer initiative, where a group of Christians spent an hour going through and praying for our local schools requesting God’s intervention in combating the moral degradation that exists within these buildings. The schools’ physically are state of the art, brand new. Outwardly they are bright, cheerful, and clean. But spiritually they are a breeding ground for drugs, promiscuity, disunity, and all matters of evil. Even in a small town school district with a single high school, a middle school, an intermediate school and a primary school located on one spacious campus there is a lack of unity and appreciation for the excellent facilities, with which the community has been blessed. Kids come to school hurting, hungry, hopeless and hassled. Teachers do their best. But because God has been expelled, because a different creed has been inserted, and because the overall system countermands true education there exists a horrific vacuum.

Are we asking God to return to these places of ‘learning,’ these godless, atheistic centers of mis-education, where He is most definitely not wanted? Are our public schools, even the newest, most modern, most well financed, most community supported beyond reformation or saving? Have we gone beyond the point of no return in our public schools? Have the atheistic secular humanists Marxist so captured them that they are now out of our hands, out of reach?

ARE CHRISTIAN OR PRIVATE SCHOOLS THE ANSWER?

In a stunning article that Bill Wilson wrote on his Daily Jot website yesterday, titled, “Liars, Thieves, Cheats--An Upcoming Generation of Christians,” he reported, “The Josephson Institute, a California-based organization promoting character and ethics, did just that and the results were alarming. The good news is that not all American teens lie, cheat and steal, just the vast and overwhelming majority of them. The bad news is that teens attending private and religious schools are among the worst of them. The Institute’s biannual survey of nearly 30,000 high schools indicated that 83 percent of students confessed to lying to a parent about something significant, but religious and private school students were some two percent more likely to lie to parents than those attending public schools. . .”

Wilson goes on to state, “. . . What’s alarming to me is that the survey found that those who are attending religious private schools are overall slightly more likely to lie and cheat than those attending public schools. If this is true—well, maybe the public school kids are better liars on the survey than the Christian kids—we as Christians are doing a very poor job transferring Christian values and morals to our children and grandchildren. . .”

Merely leaving the public schools and attending an alternative does not guarantee character development, which is the epitome of education.

IS IT TIME TO ABANDON PUBLIC EDUCATION?

The following video presents a case for all thinking parents to begin to exit the public schools en masse to literally and figurative save our children from the brainwashing and inculcation of a secular worldview that is dramatically opposed the values and virtues declared by our Founding Fathers.

Cal Thomas, renowned American journalist, recently was quoted in assessing the state of America’s public schools during a speech analyzing the recent election. According to the email that I recently received from Exodus Mandate, during his speech Thomas attributed the loss of Christian culture and the 2008 election to the secular public schools. He repeated urged those in his audience "to get your children out of the government schools." He did not offer conservative public school reform as the answer. His clarion call was clear that K-12 Christian education and home schooling is a main hope for a reversal in our cultural and moral demise.

We would do well in heeding the advice that Wilson offers as he concluded his article referenced above, with these words, “The Bible has a lot of good advice for raising children. Often quoted is Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Teaching a child right from wrong and the discipline to live a righteous life seems to be an ingredient missing in much of Christianity. Drifting away from the Bible and its instruction and relying on man’s interpretations, curricula, or even the imbalance of showing grace and mercy without consequences are all recipes for disaster. Another Proverb, 13:34, says, “He that spares the rod, hates his son: but he that loves him chastens him quickly.” We must do a better job teaching love, truth, honor, justice and responsibility.”

I agree that public education is definitely NOT the answer. However, the alternate form of education must be heavily endowed with Biblical, God-centered principles if it is to be effective temporally and eternally. The Josephson Institute study results warn us that merely rejecting or abandoning pubic education will not insure a solid, character-building education. Only a sound loving and Biblically-based education will do that. This puts a great onus on parents to prayerfully ponder and choose the proper way to educate their God-imaged child to insure that he or she live their lives providing the fullest measure glory to their Creator. Of course this educational process starts with every individual’s getting into a proper relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Standing With Joe, Petitioning Gov. Strickland to Terminate Perpetrators


The first tale involves the highly publicized case in which the Toledo, Ohio resident dared to ask the then Presidential candidate Barack Obama an penetrating question. It was what transpired in the aftermath of “Joe the Plumber” that is of great concern to many freedom loving people and organizations including the Ohio Christian Alliance (OCA).

In a press release today, the Ohio Christian Alliance stated, “The Ohio Christian Alliance (OCA) today is calling upon the Ohio Legislature and Governor Strickland to address and truly hold accountable those responsible for the improper investigation of Mr. Joseph Wurzelbacher. . .

"Chris Long, OCA President, said “This issue is not a partisan battle. It is, however, a direct threat to individual freedoms of every American to participate, engage, and question candidates and office holders on a variety of subjects. The issue simply stated is, "Does the state government have the right to investigate private citizens simply because they ask questions of candidates and/or office holders?"

“When it came to light that the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and the Ohio Department of Taxation all initiated investigations on Mr. Joseph Wurzelbacher for no apparent reason other than that the partisans within those agencies were seeking to discredit this private citizen, it was obvious that this was an abuse of power and an overreach by state governmental authorities. This is simply an outrage.”

“According to the Inspector General’s report, these investigations had no legitimate state government purpose. The directors involved in the unwarranted investigation violated the public’s trust, and consequently should be terminated from their respective positions at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to begin to restore the public’s confidence once again in these State agencies. The public’s confidence in these agencies has been sorely damaged from the revelations of these improper investigations.”

“Governor Strickland, to date, has been slow to move on this matter. His actions initially were simply to place the director of Job and Family Services, Helen Jones-Kelley on paid administrative leave. Only after the release of the Inspector General’s report of November 20th did the Governor see fit to place her on unpaid administrative suspension for one month. By his actions, Governor Strickland is obviously not taking this matter seriously enough.”

“If Governor Strickland wishes to truly address the seriousness of this issue, he needs to take the purposed steps of terminating the employment of those directors responsible for this misuse of their positions of authority to access confidential databases for no legitimate state government purpose. . .”

“If this goes unchecked, it will have a chilling effect in future elections and on possible advocacy work of private citizens who will worry whether their letter, phone call or questions of any political candidate or office holder will prompt an investigation by state agencies. All Ohioans should have the freedom to openly participate in their government without fearing reprisal from some government agency.”

If past experience is any help, I would not be surprise if the wishy-washy Justice Anthony Kennedy decides to side with the four radically liberal judges and ignore the Constitution-mandated requirement that any President be a natural-born citizen. Oh, there is so much we don’t know about this man.

Sometime early this week, "please call your secretary of state, get the listing of the electors in your state and write them and follow that up with a phone call. It only takes a few minutes and will show them there needs to be answers before they install Obama in the highest office in the Country and hand over the entire country into his hands."
