Testing Candidates Compatibility

My Issues, My Candidate

Here is a tool, a quiz that may help you in your selection process in narrowing down the candidate(s) who is (are) most in tune with you beliefs and positions. We have so many candidates[ that this tool may help you to see which candidates might best serve your interests and positions. I found this interesting quiz on the RealChoice blog.

You can take the quiz by clicking here.

The WQAD (TV) candidate survey is based on the original SELECT A CANDIDATE survey developed by Minnesota Public Radio and posted at: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/projects/ongoing/select_a_candidate/.

This quiz is not perfect, but it does give some indication of some of the issues that the various candidates hold. Here are my results.

Duncan Hunter – 53

Fred Thompson – 48
Tom Tancredo – 43
John McCain – 41

Rudy Giuliani – 37
Mike Huckabee – 36
Mitt Romney – 34

Ron Paul – 29

Joe Biden – 15
Hillary Clinton – 15
Barrack Obama – 15

John Edwards – 10
Dennis Kucinich – 10
Chris Dodd – 10

Bill Richardson - 5

My preferred candidates are the three above in bold. For me it confirms the total incompatibility with ANY of the Democrat candidates, which more and more represent a radical leftist, socialist worldview.
This quiz surprised me from the standpoint that Giuliani finished ahead of Huckabee, one of my favorite candidates. The survey did dramatically show a difference between all GOP candidates and the Democrat candidates. There was not just a gap, but a deep and wide chasm as big of a difference as between right and wrong.

  1. The three candidates in boldface type have zero chance of obtaining the nomination. Since Fred Thompson has made no headway, it appears that Giuliani will get the GOP nod.

Given the likely candidates, is there really a choice among most voters? In a race between Giuliani and Hillary, we have to back Rudy, don't we? The alternative is far, far worse. Amy

    Thanks for your comment.

The three boldface candidates are the best of the field. I heard all three in person this past weekend in Washington, D.C. with Tancredo making the best speech, Hunter saying the most and Huckabee seemingly the best overall chance to surpass McCain and Thompson and to contend in the primaries with Romney and Giuliani, neither of which do I care for nor would I vote for . . . Giuliani is a closet liberal and Romney, I just don't believe.
