Huckabee & Paul Need to Humble McCain Tuesday

Thanks to CrossActionNews.com I found the quote below made by Curt Smith yesterday, 2/29/08, enlightening. Smith wrote in his commentary, “Huckabee is just the man for Texas,” on Statesman.com the following, “…The Republican primary (In Texas and in Ohio, too) has been gentlemanly, almost chivalrous — a universe from the Democrats' demolition derby. McCain is a fine (?) man — and would be a superior (possibly only marginally better, if at all) president to Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. He will be a better candidate (perhaps), his party refinding its DNA, if March 4 voters back Huckabee's social, economic and national security conservatism. . .” (Italics and emphasis mine)

Mr. Smith was a speech writer for the first George "Read my lips" Bush.
