In Britain, as in America, it is always okay to bash God, Jesus or true Christianity, but never false religions such as Islam, Secular Humanism (Atheism) or Buddhism. Universally, secular humanists, as many other false relgions of the day, hate all aspects of the Christian worldview and Christians. They seek to stamp it out and replace it wherever they can. The BBC's bashing is just the most recent example.
