In March of this year I wrote an article, “California Court Criminalizes Home Schooling,” about how the courts in Californian were trying to outlaw home schooling. Well, good news, yesterday (Friday) OneNewsNow.com reported that the California Court of Appeals reversed itself and ruled that the state’s education code allows parents to home school their children. That decision means parents DO NOT HAVE TO OBTAIN STATE CREDENTIALS IN ORDER TO HOME SCHOOL. OneNewsNow.com also pointed out, “The court acknowledged that a state prohibition on home schooling would intrude on parents’ constitutional right to direct their children’s education and that that any limit on that right would be presumed unconstitutional.”
The OneNewsNow.com article,"Home schooling constitutional in CA," quotes Mike Farris, chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), as saying, “We’re very thrilled, not just a little bit, [and] we’re surprised as well. To get a court to do a 180-degree reversal is a remarkable thing and we view it as a blessing from God. We’re really thankful for it and there’s hundreds of thousands of home-school kids in California who are now able to breathe a sigh of relief.”
Well, for now, progress is being made on this battle front. There is an effort underway in California because of the degraded and misdirection of California schools to remove Christian and other children out of the government schools. This should help that movement. See the Exodus Mandate website for further information about abandoning the failed and anti-God, immoral, and valueless government schools.
