One ballot issue, California’s Proposition 8, will be more important to the future of this nation and all of Western Civilization than even the vote on the two very flawed major party offerings for President in this year's election on November 4, 2008.
.
The battle to place Proposition 8 on the ballot in California has been heavyweight-boxing-championship tough. Both sides have landed some severe punches to the opposition. In one corner proudly stands the pro-same-sex ‘marriage’ advocates (THE IMITATORS & IMTIMIDATORS.) In the opposite corner humbly but resolutely stand the , one-man, one-woman marriage or legitimate marriage advocates (the PASSIONATE & PRINCIPLED.) The one-man, one-woman advocates are the reigning champions and have been so since time began. The upstart same-sex ‘marriage’ advocates fight dirty and have hoards of money and friends in high places, which they are using to influence the fight.
Round One was won by the one-man, one-woman marriage advocates, who answered a fight left handed punch propelled by the California Supreme Court on May 15th that declared same-sex ‘marriage’ to be ‘legal.’ ‘Legal’ to the same degree that the U.S. Supreme Court decreed that killing of unborn babies to be ‘legal’ in 1973. In both cases the courts’ ruling were activist and tyrannical, and more importantly, immoral, unjust, and unethical.
Round Two was won by the same-sex ‘marriage’ advocates who rallied with the assistance of California Attorney General Jerry Brown’s biased and totally political rewriting of the ballot language of Proposition 8 to make the issue out to be a civil rights matter and not a matter of morality and commonsense. The one-man, one-woman advocates staggered and absorbed the punch below the belt and kept fighting with new resolve. The Church in California may have awoken from its slumber and is beginning to join the fight.
The match is even. The campaign the next two and a half months will be intense. Both side will seek help, both inside and outside of California. The punches will continue to feverishly fly. The fight will be won by the side that perseveres . . .
RECAPPING OF THE FIGHT SO FAR
You can watch the new DVD, Proposition 8, the Case for Traditional Marriage,” featuring Chuck Colson for free, right now. Click here to watch. This is an excellent production by the American Family Association and can be purchased here for only $7.50.
“The California State Supreme Court in a 4-3 decision ruled that California homosexuals have the same opportunity to “marry” as heterosexuals. This is an outrageous violation of not only the will of the people, but it is also a clear breach of public trust in regard to the duties and powers of the state supreme court.” --- Brad Dacus, President, Pacific Justice Institute
ROLE OF THE JUDICIARY
“They (the California Supreme Court) are taking away the people’s right to govern themselves. That (making laws) is not the job of the courts. The job of the court is to interpret the laws and see that the laws are faithfully preserved. That is the job of the courts, not making new laws.” - - - Chuck Colson, President, Prison Fellowship
DEFINITION OF MARRIAGE
“ (Same-sex ‘marriage’ is) an assault on the underpinnings of Western Civilization . . . (it) will lead to the end of marriage . . ." --- Chuck Colson
SAME-SEX ‘MARRIAGE’S’ IMPACT ON CHILDREN
There will be a terrible impact on children if Proposition 8 fails. Schools will ratchet up their indoctrination of children in the acceptability and promotion of the same-sex and so-called alternative lifestyles and so-called same-sex ‘marriage.’ Masculine and feminine roles will be blurred and tarnished and children will be left bewildered and confused. Society will be hurt as a result as well as children because of this confusion.
AVOIDING ARMAGEDDON
Failure to pass of Proposition 8 will be Armageddon to the American culture and society. California sets the pattern for much good and especially evil in this society.
TAKE ACTION
To insure that the PASSIONATE & PRINCIPLED defenders of traditional one-man, one-woman marriage win and the IMITATORS & IMTIMIDATORS lose, vote YES on Proposition 8 if you live in California. Every American can uphold the sanctify of traditional marriage by financially and prayerfully supporting:
I read this LA Times article this afternoon [ http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-gaymarriage16-2008aug16,0,3954083.story ] which prominently discusses and seems to, not surprising, support the same-sex side of Prop 8.

According to Frank Schubert, 'Yes on 8' campaign manager, the mobilization of LDS (Mormon) volunteers could save his campaign up to $26 million in costs related to micro-targeting persuadable voters.

So much for campaign finance rules.
Just a heads up: Mike Huckabee recently gave an interview in which he holds Mitt Romney responsible for implementing gay marriage in Massachusetts.

Welcome to the ProtectMarriage.com coalition.
I wish that more rank and file members of the LDS (Mormon) church would realize: the anti-gay coalition they've joined in California is one that includes folks who - given the chance - would vote their church out of existence.
Folks like Mike Huckabee and his Evangelical buddies.
Funny - civilization isn't collapsing and gay marriage is legal in Cali and Mass. You Chicken Littles crack me up...

ReplyDeleteIf you want to talk bible and religion then all I have to say is this. GOD LOVES US ALL! Regardless of Race, Sexual Preference, Age, Weight etc. If you want to talk politics, please remember that the bill of rights of the Constitution of the United States clearly states ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. If you want to take that in literal form you could construe that as Man only and not women. We all however know that is not true and that it does include women. While society as a whole has infered and has widely accepted this concept, including myself, those 5 words are very clear. It DOES NOT STATE ALL MAN ARE CREATED EQUAL accept homosexuals, lesbian, bisexual transgendered etc. If proposition 8 gets passed it is simply a Human Rights Violation. I really don’t think God would support something like that especially since he does love us all.

ReplyDeleteGay men, he says, are so "hardwired" towards finding casual sexual encounters, some going as far as plastic implants to enhance their appearance, that finding genuine intimacy is "practically impossible."
