Remembering Terri

Theresa Marie Schindler
December 3, 1963 - March 31, 2005
.
Terri Schindler Schiavo was murdered two years ago today by her “loving” husband and by a complicit court.

Terri’s brother, Bobby Schindler, writes in the Liberty Forum, a quarterly publication of the Institute on the Constitution (Volume 3, Issue 1), “In March 2005, the courts succeeded in executing my sister . . . after being ordered to die by Florida circuit court judge, George Greer. Judge Greer ordered that Terri’s simple feeding tube be removed so that my sister would die a slow and hideous death by starvation and dehydration. You can be assured; Terri was condemned to die long before her case went to court. Her trial was only formality and an example of the “death cult’s” power in this country. . .

“Despite the efforts of our family to provide proper rehabilitation, which could have led to Terri’s recovery, our efforts failed. Our family still grieves that the court refused our simple, humane and decent request, which was to care for Terri until the natural end of her life. Sadly, on March 31, 2005, after almost two weeks without food or water, Terri died by marked dehydration.”

Since Terri’s tragic and needless death, Mr. Schindler and his family have established the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization, which Schindler says will encourage appropriate treatment for people, who like Terri, could benefit from proper medical and rehabilitative care and services. In addition Schindler and his family have established a second foundation, the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation for Health Care Ethics, a non-profit 501c4 organization, which Schindler says will actively sponsor changes in legislation to battle the growing culture of death, euthanasia and physician assisted suicide in America.
