Is Obama a Fake Christian?

I came across this interesting poll today on AOL.com.

Andrew Sullivan on the Daily Dish Blog at the Atlantic.com asked …
Is Obama a Fake Christian?
___ Yes
___ No
___ Not Sure

Interestingly, Andrew Sullivan titles his article, which accompanies the poll, "Now He's A Godless Commie." He asks the question sarcastically and facetiously, but really I think that it is a very accurate and serious statement.
In this unscientific poll 6 out of 10 people answered the question in the affirmative. There were almost 200,000 people voting.

Here is the comment that I submitted along with my vote.

Judging by his actions, his fruit, yes, Senator Obama is a fake Christian as opposed to a true or biblical Christian. The difference between the two is not a nuance, but a chasm. Man-centered is on one side and God-centered is the other side of the Christian dichotomy.

Obama reinforced the fact that he is on the wrong side at the so-called Compassion Forum over the weekend saying out of one side of his mouth that God created the universe and on the other that he believes in evolution and does not believe that God directly created man unique from the animals as delineated in the biblical text. He referred to the biblical creation account found in the book of Genesis as “a story.” In other words, he does not believe the literal account of creation. Why am I not surprised?

Obama is a blind man leading the blind. He has to be, sitting for twenty years under the teaching of a racist and America-hating "cleric" Jeremiah Wright and associating with other scurrilous people like the white collar criminal Mr. Antoin "Tony" Rezko and the far-left Weatherman terrorist William Ayres, reveals his heart and character. A man is known by the company he keeps. I’d conclude Senator Obama keeps some very bad company.

I really like what Rob wrote in SayAnythingBlog:

Many have tried to dismiss Barack Obama’s connections to far-left Weathermen terrorists Willliam Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn as saying that it was a one-time meeting which took place more than a decade ago. But it turns out that it was more than one time, and has happened a lot more recently than 1995.

I don’t think Obama gets to shrug this one off. Anyone involved in politics, particularly in the Chicago area, knows who William Ayres and Bernadette Dohrn are and agreeing to appear with them at events is a tacit endorsement of their radical politics. A politician would not appear in public with a notorious anti-Semite and holocaust denier like David Duke, so why would it be any better to appear in public with people who feel that bombs and violence are a proper form of political discourse?

There’s no excuse for this. Either Obama was unbelievably naive as to who these people are or he knew who they are and didn’t care.

Neither option looks good for Obama who himself is no mainstream politician but rather
the farthest left of all US Senators.
