It's Open Season on Babies

I look around and see TV phenom Oprah Winfrey's outcry over some dogs being mistreated in so-called puppy mills, and I see the outrage and anger over some overpaid NFL superstar’s mistreatment and of abuse dogs. As shameful and inhumane as those things are, I find it much more outrageous, grave and insidious that human beings are being systematically slaughtered in abortion mills at a rate of 4,000 per day and there is nary a peep from the majority of our complacent citizenry or a complicit liberal media. But then that is to be expected. America used to value human beings above all life, except of course for the scandalous mistreatment of slaves by some in our nation’s early history and the subsequent racial discrimination by others.

But overall America has a good record in regard to the sanctity of life, at least until 1973 when the infamous Roe v. Wade ruled a perpetual open season on babies. Where there are no limits on killing babies, however, there is on killing deer. Something is terribly wrong with this picture. An immoral secular-humanist worldview has crept in and captured the soul of this once great nation and has replace a God-centered, God-honoring worldview.
In other words at this moment in America’s history we value human life less than we value animal life. Dogs and deer rate higher than human beings! This is unbelievable.
