Hillary of Arkansas is no Joan of Arc

When I was still watching television one of my favorite shows was Joan of Arcadia. Joan was a teenager who talked to God. God appeared to Joan in the form of different people. One day it could be a small child another it could be an elderly black grandmother. In each episode God would ask Joan to do something usually out of the box, something she normally would not do on her own. Joan was a very ordinary, very normal teenager. What made the show so uplifting was that Joan would grudgingly obey some outlandish request which in the end would turn out for the best for everyone. After all God is really all wise, all knowing and all powerful.

JOAN OF ARC

I was visiting the video store the other day and the DVD titled Joan of Arc grabbed my attention. It turns out that it was a four hour TV miniseries which just enthralled me. I had heard about St. Joan of Arc in the past, but this miniseries really brought her to life. In fact, I even stayed up one night way beyond my bed time (12:30 am) on a week day. I was wasted at work the next day.

Joan was portrayed as being humble, devoted, uneducated yet wise beyond her years, principled, confident but not cocky, enthusiastic, courageous, bra e, persistent and faithful to God. Her is a truly fantastic and inspiring story.

The original Joan of Arc led forces of France against the English and against the Burgundies. She was martyred by her political and religious opponents as a heretic and traitor. In doing a little research on the internet tonight I found several movies have been made about Joan of Arc recently besides the TV miniseries.

HILLARY OF ARKANSAS

What a stark contrast there is between an unscrupulous unprincipled ruthless chameleon of a politician Hillary Clinton, and the godly leader of men and woman the historic Joan of Arc. There is more than just the 500 years difference between the godless radical liberal political hack and the saint.

Hillary listens to pollsters, to political strategists like Paul Begala and James Carville, to a dead Eleanor Roosevelt, and to vile political supporters and lobbyists like abortion, same sex and feminist activists, While Joan of Arc listened primarily to the voice of God. After all is said and done Senator Hillary Clinton is the antithesis of Joan of Arc.

MODERN DAY JOAN OF ARC

Where have all the leaders gone? Have they all gone to graveyards everyone? There are a few out there. One of them is U.S. Representative Marilyn Musgrave of Colorado. I am so thankful she was re-elected this past November. She was a strong supporter and sponsor of the Marriage Protection Amendment She suffered terrible abuse during the campaign from a radical left that was bond, determined and united in unseating this champion.
