The fact that movie, the Nativity Story is in the top ten movies today is good news. The movie has grossed almost $25 million to date. Fellow blogger “Sam” saw this movie and said it was good. See his article.
More good news is that there has been an apparent reversal of banning the showing of clips of the Nativity Story movie at the Christmas Fest in Chicago. WorldNet Daily reports that they have permitted the sponsor of the movie to participate. Imagine banning Christ from His own birthday party!
Speaking of movies, two other quality movies with a true Christian worldview are Queen Esther: One Night with the King and Facing the Giants. I hope to see One Night With the King this weekend. The Facing the Giants movie will be out in DVD next month. One way that the culture can be changed or positively impacted is for Christians to support quality movies and to boycott all Hollywood trash.
Another piece of good news regarding Christmas is that Christians are starting to fight back against the relentless attack on all things Christian in our schools and on our public squares. The Family Research Center, the American Center for Law and Justice and the American Family Assoicaion are leading efforts to inform schools and parents of their rights to sing Christmas carols and to say "Merry Christmas". There is also an effort underway to limit shopping at those stores which inssist on being politically correct and which even ban the word "Christmas' from all of their in-house and external advertisements. One such store is Best Buy. Happy solistice, happy sparkletime Best Buy.
Merry Christmas everyone else!
