Arizona Shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Gibbons Condemned

The shooting of Congresswoman Gabriell Gibbons was tragic and senseless. I condemn this needless violence.
ValuesVoterNews.com made this pertinent comment in their article, "Jared Lee Loughner AZ shooter is a flag burning socialist or communist hardly the Tea Party type,"

to which I wholeheartedly agree,  "Just in case the liberal media or those on the left politically try to paint the AZ shooter of congresswoman Gabrielle Gibbons and others as a Tea Party protester think again. If Jared Lee Loughner is the shooter which is being reported then he is anything but a Tea Party American...The shooter may be a socialist/communist of some sort as on his YouTube channel (reportedly) it lists as Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto as some of his favorite books. No possible relation to the Tea Party as some would like to place the blame... "

One report I read was that the shooter was in his twenties. If so, most likely he was a product of the godless American Public Schools, which 'educated' him in moral relativism and secular humanism and taught him that there were no God. It truly is a wonder that more Columbines and more assassination attempts don't happen from the corrupt characters coming out of the state run schools ...

As certain as the sun will come up tomorrow, the Left will blame guns, the Tea Party Movement, Sarah Palin and the right. They will do this to advance their anti-American agenda.

"...Almost instantaneously the Left blamed Palin, Beck, Limbaugh, the Tea Party and any Conservatives they could target BEFORE knowing ANYTHING about the shooter - no one even knew his NAME when this was first reported but because Giffords has a 'D' next to her name, they ASSumed that her attempted murder was an act committed by some Right Wing nut job due to 'rhetoric' on talk radio and by Conservative Commentators on television. As most of you may also know... they were dead wrong. Loughner appears to be a paranoid schizophrenic whose rantings were on YouTube (snapshots below). He has a video on his site of someone burning an American flag to Drowning Pool's 'Let the Bodies Hit the Floor' (honestly I happen to like this song but I would NEVER, EVER burn an American flag - EVER). HARDLY Conservative. He also has some insane paranoid delusions about the government controlling minds via grammar. He also talks about not believing in God. Again HARDLY Conservative..."

I'm not a member of the Tea Party, yet I wouldn't directly link the actions of the individual to the Tea Party. Still, I don't believe the Tea Party does enough to prevent most people from doing just that. There is a tendency on the part of most people to lump together those groups they don't understand or don't support. Look at statements being produced by Tea Party members such as Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation, who noted on his Web site that Ms. Giffords is “a liberal,” but added, “that does not matter now. No one should be a victim of violence because of their political beliefs.” Seriously? If it doesn't matter, then why mention she is a liberal?

Like all movements, the Tea Party has a number of extreme elements. In order to avoid the impression that the Tea Party supports their actions in private while condemning them publically, there needs to be far greater action taken on the part of the Tea Party. Look into why some extremists are attracted to the Tea Party. Don't support groups that claim to be part of the Tea Party but espouse hate. Repudiate those who use violence laden invective against their opponents.

The Tea Party can no longer hide behind such statements as "we aren't an organized party" and "we have no actual leaders". If you believe your party has good intentions, then live up to it and don't wring your hands about the casualties along the way. Don't let people like Palin, Beck, et. al. claim to lead your party while spouting hatred.
