Santorum, Cain, McCotter, Bachmann, Pawlenty, and Paul all gave speeches in Iowa this afternoon. I think Rick Santorum gave the best speech. He was passionate. He has worked hard in Iowa and in other states. Too bad he does not have much of a chance. Likewise Herman Cain gave a strong stump speech, but he too is an also ran. Bachmann immerges as the cream of the crop of candidates. She is a strong, principled conservative, more than any of the others besides Ron Paul.I would expect the bottom three finishers to drop out of the race.

I have heard that Tim Pawlenty has dropped out of the race. What an idiot! I think his sole purpose in running was to try to discredit Michele Bachmann. When he obviously failed to do this, the forces of evil probably withdrew their support. This is like some bad movie where the main villain hires some bumbling idiots to do the dirty work. Only in real life it isn't so funny.
