President Bush is talking about having a Palestinian state located next to Israel in the Holy Land. Before his presidency this was proposed by Hillary Rodham-Clinton when Bill Clinton was President. What President Bush is proposing is really a Democrat agenda. I am concerned that too often there is no difference between the Republican and the Democrat agendas. Then when there is a difference the Republicans drop their agenda. Is it the Republican’s desire to help Israel? If so, how is it being of help to establish a nation next to Israel whose number one stated objective is the extermination of Israel?
Is it the Republican’s desire to be blessed by God? If so, how can a Republican be secular? This presupposes there is God who can think for Himself and is more powerful than the entire United States of America.
God has said that whoever blesses Abraham, whoever blessed Isaac, and whoever blesses Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, will be blessed. Abraham was the friend of God and confessed and affirmed to be so by God Himself. God gave Abraham a plot of land known as Canaan. It extended from the river of Egypt in the south to Lebanon in the north; from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the River Euphrates in the east. Abraham had eight sons but only one was the son of promise from God. That was Isaac.
God said that in Isaac Abraham’s descendents would be counted and they would be a blessing to the rest of mankind. God, on separate occasions promised the same plot of land to Isaac, and to his son Israel. Esau, Israel (Jacob)’s brother, was given a plot of land by God east of the Dead Sea in the Petra area. Beginning with President Truman, America has blessed Israel and God has in turn blessed America.
Beginning with Presidents Ford and Carter the United Sates has been cursing Israel by swapping Israel’s land for “peace”. This, in turn, brings God’s curse on America. Creating a Palestinian State will only bring an increase of God’s judgment on America.
