Scamnesty

Guest Worker Scamnesty Promoted

Newt Gingrich says, “The announcement last week that the White House and a group of senators have reached an agreement on "comprehensive immigration reform" should have the same effect that the word "iceberg" had on the passengers and crew of the Titanic.”

The following information is from an email I received from RightMarch.com Politics in Action (PAC):

“Last week, Ted Kennedy, John McCain, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson stood on a platform and declared a "compromise" agreement on a "comprehensive immigration reform" -- in other words, AMNESTY -- bill in the U.S. Senate, which would include so-called border security "triggers," along with a path to BUY legalized citizenship for millions of illegal aliens and the 623,292 fugitive illegal aliens in the U.S. who have been LOST by Homeland Security.

“. . . None of the twelve to twenty million illegal aliens already hiding in this country would have to leave under the plan that the Senate is debating this week!”

COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM IS A SCAM

Yesterday Steven T. Voigt said this about the so-called comprehensive immigration bill being debated in the Senate, “The Senate bill that would grant AMNESTY to illegal aliens — which only became public two days ago (on Saturday) — is a CAPITULATION to chaos.

“SCAMNESTY is just that. It is a BAMBOOZLE from the highest tiers of our government whose ears have become filled with poisonous honey from plenty of pocket-greasing lobbyists.

“. . . It's time to just say "NO" to D.C. No AMNESTY plan is acceptable, and our public servants must have the backbone to secure the border.

These words from Voigt’s www.christianworldviewnetwork.com article says it all.

THE HIGH COST OF SCAMNESTY

In an email I received from www.NewMax.com, which quotes Heritage Foundation scholar Robert Rector as estimating that the Senate Immigration Bill price tag could be $2.5 Trillion ... Rector says, “Granting amnesty or conditional amnesty to illegal immigrants would increase their use of welfare, Social Security and Medicare. Fiscal costs would go up significantly in the short term but would go up dramatically after the amnesty recipient reached retirement. If all the current adult illegal aliens in the U.S. were granted amnesty the net retirement costs to government could be over $2.5 trillion.”

75 REASONS TO OPPOSE SCAMNESTY

Newt Gingrich writes in the latest Wining the Future (May 21, 2007, Vol. 2, No. 210), “When the FBI arrested six terrorists in New Jersey two weeks ago it turned out that three of them had been in the U.S. illegally for at least TWENTY years.

“These three had crossed our unprotected border and had been living in New Jersey.

“But here's the even more outrageous part: The police had filed 75 (SEVENTY-FIVE!) chages against them, including drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“In 75 interactions, the police never once learned that these three people were here illegally.

“The government failed twice: First, by failing to secure the border, and second, by failing to determine that these people were here illegally. The result was that more than five years after 9/11 we were saved from a mass killing at Fort Dix only because of the patriotism and courage of a clerk at an electronics store.

“Compare the 75 charges made against the would-be Fort Dix terrorists with how we rounded up German spies in World War II. In June 1942, it took a total of 15 days to track down and arrest eight German spies who landed in Florida and New York from submarines. We executed six of them and gave one life in prison and the other thirty years. We were serious about winning that war. . .

“Faced with this level of failure of bureaucracy, how could anyone believe for a minute that this new immigration bill will work? The fact is it can't and it won't. It will rely on the same failed bureaucracy and produce more years of failure."
