Your Our Lady of Fatima Worship is Idolatrous!

My Dear Robert:

I am writing in response to your 11:41 am comment to my AGoodChoice blog post last Sunday, September 5, 2010.

What is this, “Holy Mother Church?” I have never heard of it before. Is this the whore spoken of in Revelation 17:5, 15, who is the mother of harlots. Jesus said, “I will build My Church.” I thought the Church belonged to Jesus Christ. How does it then become Holy Mother Church?

Paul writes that there is one mediator between God and man, the man, Christ Jesus. Mary is not a mediator. Jesus sits at the right hand of God. Scripture does not say that Mary sits with them.

We have a way to enter before God directly by the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10: 19). We are to enter boldly before God (Hebrews 4:16).

Asking a statue of Mary for something is not honoring to Mary. It is idolatry, plain and simple!

You and your friend need to repent of your sin and invite Jesus into your heart.

What America Needs, my friend, is repentance, a turning from idols to Jesus, and Him alone!

Sincerely,

Sam

  1. Dear Sam,

No serious person believes that Catholics worship idols.

    Dear Sam,

How would you feel if your mother is called a whore? You just disrespected the mother of Jesus Christ, the One who was chosen by God to give birth to the Messiah. Your mother gave birth to you. You want people, if not to love but to respect your mother. If you can not love or accept Her as do we as Catholics, please at least respect her. Don't call her names.

You are so dependent on the bible. Even if you memorized every single scriptures and passages it can not save you alone. Remember we are in a different time. The world has changed since the bible was written. God realized we need another mediator/intercessor. Who do you think He sent? Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ. The One who suffered with Him on the way to the cavalry and the One who stood by the Cross when He was dying and when He died. You need to open up your mind and heart. Read other books that can help you spiritually.

I pray that Mother Mary especially Jesus Christ to forgive you by disrespecting His mother.

    Peace and Sincerely,

    Job
