Dog Gone It Anyhow

I have been hearing something on the news recently about some kind of experiment on a research dog at the Cleveland Clinic. Something went wrong. The dog died. The prestigious Cleveland Clinic says it was not aware of the use of the dog in some kind o apparent sales presentation. The medical doctor who used the dog assumed that he had permission. My interest was piqued and my anger was boiling not at the use of the dog as much as at the coverage this dog and this incident was getting.

I am all for the conscientious treatment of animals or any living creature including animals used in research. However, let us put things in proper perspective. Minks, chickens, dogs, cats or rats are being used in research for the possible saving of human life. Why do we protest this use of animals? Is it because we have acquiesced to the incessant screeching protests of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and other radical liberal extremists?

The press covers these insane radicals and seemingly concurring or sympathizing with their cause. I think a more accurate explanation for PETA would be those who are continuously “Protesting Every Thing American”. To me it is just not American to prefer any animal over a human being. Our United States Constitution guarantees humans (including the pre-born baby) the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I do not read anything in our Constitution that gives that same “right” to Fido.

This is one very excellent example of the insanity and the hypocrisy and the outworking of the morally depraved and deficient liberal philosophy or way of looking at the world. It seems that the liberal left is more concerned about the rights and status of dogs and cats than then are of human beings. Why? After all isn’t the subject of this outrage and public uproar merely a dog, an animal. Is it because some on the liberal left believe that this was dog may have been a relative of some reincarnated sister of Shirley McLain? Or was the dog a fiancĂ©e of some liberal leftist who planned to soon demand their right to “marry” or have “legal unions” sanctioned by the government and the courts? That is the logical conclusion to this insanity.

It is beyond baffling to me. Where oh where is the outrage at the death of innocent HUMAN BABIES in the grotesque and REALLY offensive (especially to the baby!) unscrupulous and horrid partial birth abortion when the illustrious President Clinton vetoed the ban? Where is the outrage over this malicious procedure, for any abortion for that matter or even the immoral and wasteful and unproductive embryonic stem cell research? Where is the outrage in the media when a Kansas abortionist, Dr. George Tiller, routinely kills babies in the trimester and alledgedly not reporting rapes of young girls, while aborting their babies? For a good summary of what real horror Dr. Tiller is doing click here and listen to comments by Bill O'Reilly.

In further reporting this story on WKYC-TV’s website they use the title, “Doctor sacrifices a dog during sales presentation”. I emphasize the inflammatory word, “sacrifices”. What about so called abortion doctors who exterminate babies at a rate of thousands everyday across America? Where is the outcry on behalf of human beings? These babies are the ones who are really being SACRIFICED to the god of convenience and pleasure. As unfortunate as this error in judgment made by one neurosurgeon that was presenting a medical device that would ultimate help to save HUMAN lives. Thanks to the very liberal mainstream media, PETA and their leftist lunatics allies we have come to a point in our society that we apparently value a dog’s life more than we value human life. Insane, if you ask me. Unlike PETA and its pals, I would much prefer using animals over ANY humans, including in any embryonic stem cell research.

  1. I bought T-shirts for my brothers that say "PETA : People for Eating of Tasty Animals" and things like "I love wildlfe, right next to my mashed potatoes" and "I love cats, I just can't eat a whole one."
