Some ND Students Oppose the President's Visit to Their Campus

Hear Their Cry

I was reading an article by David Brody, "Some Notre Dame Seniors Say No to Graduation" and he referenced the following video, which clearly portrays those students who oppose the visit of the current occupier of the White House to their campus tomorrow (Sunday, May 17, 2009)

The following is from the YouTube description of the “ND Response Official Video” embedded below.

“In defense of the unborn, we wish to express our deepest opposition to Reverend John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.s invitation of President Barack Obama to be the University of Notre Dame’s principal commencement speaker and the recipient of an honorary degree. Our objection is not a matter of political partisanship, but of President Obama’s hostility to the Catholic Church’s teachings on the sanctity of human life at its earliest stages. Further, the University’s decision runs counter to the policy of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops against honoring pro-choice politicians. We cannot sit by idly while the University honors someone who believes that an entire class of human beings is undeserving of the most basic of all legal rights, the right to live.”

Here is a partial transcript quoting ND students, who comment on the forthcoming visit of the false messiah, Barry Soetoro alias Barack Obama, to their now infamous campus’ commencement exercise tomorrow.

“The university by deciding to invite Obama has said that our prestigious university is more important than our value of human life.” – a female ND student

“It is not a political issue, this is an issue of human dignity, and it is a Catholic issue, and it is an issue of science. And as a Catholic university we need to stand up for it.” - a female ND student

“Bestowing an honor on him is equal to bestowing an honor to his policies, which are in direct contradiction to Catholic (and Christian and Biblical) teaching. – a male ND student
