More ‘Tea Parties’ in Ohio

Columbus 'Tea Party,' Sunday, March 15, 2009
.

COLUMBUS, OHIO AGC News. In Columbus over 200 people attended the Ohio ‘Tea Party’ on Saturday morning. That event was sponsored by Americans for Prosperity (AFP). See my coverage of that event in earlier articles.

Also in Columbus on Sunday, more than 200 more people met in the early afternoon on the sidewalk in front of the State Capitol Building. This group was sponsored or at least advertised by the ColumbusTownhall.com. That group then walked down en masse to the Battelle Riverfront Park to dump a symbolic bag of tea. They were prohibited by the police form ‘polluting’ the river with tea.

While hundreds were showing up in more liberal and/or apathetic central Ohio, thousands (5,000 by police estimate) showed up Sunday afternoon in the more conservative and active Cincinnati. See the Cincinnati Inquirer story here.

The ‘Tea Party’ movement is taking off. I heard several people in the crowd today comment that they were sick and tired of the recent actions of the president and congress and just had to do something. There is growing frustration in the nation.

These spontaneous ‘Tea Parties’ are protests to the growing tyrannical and despotic president and unresponsive and inept congress. Many people like Rick Santelli, who initiated the ‘Tea Party’ rebellion idea or movement by his tirade on CNBC.

I understand that major nationwide ‘Tea Party’ events are scheduled for April 15th and for July 4th.

MEDIA MALPRACTICE

You can find reports on the 'Tea Parties' on conservative news outlets like here and here, but they are rarely on the air on any opposition media outlets (ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, PBS, etc.) Why?
