The Red Envelope Project: Protesting Abortion

Across the nation people will be sending empty red envelopes to the person currently occupying the White House in Washington, D.C. to protest his personal and his administration's radical pro-abortion, pro-death philosophy and position. Ideally, envelopes should be sent out by Tuesday, March 31st, 2009. This project started earlier this year.

BACKGROUND

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- "It started with one unknown person who had a prayer and desire to affect the abortion debate and it has caught on to become an Internet phenomenon. The Red Envelope Project could result in millions of envelopes heading to the White House over the next month to protest President Barack Obama's pro-abortion policies.

""This afternoon I was praying about a number of things, and my mind began to wander. I was deeply distressed at the symbolic actions that President Obama took as he began his presidency," the popular email says.

""This man and his party lead our country; but they do not represent me or the 54% of Americans who believe that abortion is wrong and should no longer be legal."

"How could that pro-life majority respond? The answer to the prayer for a way resulted in the red envelope campaign.

"Based on the red tape students are using to cover their mouths in silent abortion protest, the pro-life advocate developed the idea to send an empty red envelope to the White House to protest abortion."

TAKE ACTION - THE INSTRUCTIONS

(1) Purchase one or more red envelopes at Kinkos or at a party supply or from an office supply store.

(2) On the front of the envelope, address it to

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington , D.C. 20500

(3) On the back of the envelope write the following message:

"This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world. Responsibility begins with conception."

(4) Mail out the envelope(s) by Tuesday, March 31st, 2009.

(5) Please pass on information about this project to every one of your friends, whom you think would also send one or more envelopes.

DO IT NOW

Wouldn’t it be great if Pro-Life proponents would send 50 million red envelopes, one for every American child aborted before they had an opportunity to experience their God-given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness envisioned by our Founding Fathers for every American?

It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in the minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it's shameful to even bring it up. Let us show the President and the world that the voices of those of us who do not believe abortion is acceptable are not silent and must be heard. This is a great way to get our point across that the person occupying the office of President does not have a mandate to kill innocents.

Together we can change the heart of The President and save the lives of millions of children.

Kudos to Pass the Salt Ministries for passing this message on to me, in turn, I pass it along to you . . . It’s A Good Choice . . .

In the small Ohio county where I live, there are approximately 30 abortions committed each year. I plan to send out at least 30 red envelopes in memory of those babies murdered last year in my county. Pick a zip code, a county, a street, a city, etc. and try to send envelopes in memory of those victims of our own American Atrocity!
