There was a beatnik character, Maynard G. Krebs, on an old TV series, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, who at the mere mention of the word ‘work’ would react in panic. That seems to be response of many Congressman when it comes to reading important bills. This includes the one featured in the video below, U.S. Congressman John Conyers, D-MI, whose wife, Monica, by the way may be headed to jail for accepting kickbacks while on the Detroit City Council.
