Top 2010 villains and heroes

The following was inspired by a radio program I heard on American Family Radio (AFR.net), AFA Report,  which discussed the villains and heroes of the past twelve months. I listened to that program and interjected some of my own thoughts and opinions in the content below.

HERO
Tea Party participants and Tea Party supported politicians like Joe Miller across the nation
These are the everyday men and women who rose up against a growing tyrannical Leviathan, which is extending its powerful tentacles from Washington, D.C. to the four corners of the nation. Although Joe Miller, the Republican who upset Senator Lisa Murkowski in the GOP Primary Election in Alaska, but just recently indicated that he would not contest her being seated next week as Senator from Alaska. Joe typified the discontent felt by a lot of people with the status quo in both major political parties. The Soetoro/Obama-Pelosi-Reid leftist agenda was resoundingly rejected in November. We are now expecting a lot from newly elected leaders like Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Tim Scott, Daniel Webster and other strong principled conservatives being sworn in the new Congress on January 6th, 2011.

VILLAIN
The President and the 111th Congress
The President and the Democratic-led Congress robbed the American people and America of a great amount of liberty. The deficit was increased more than any other President or Congress ever had before. They did this with unwise socialistic spending sprees. They took money they did not have and gave it to businesses that they should have let fail, they passed a Stimulus bill that stimulated only the cancerous growth of government and favored unions and other of their cronies. The weakened the military and our national defense by insisting on the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and the quick, thoughtless passage of START. They used every trick and lie to pass the Health Care Control bill.

HERO
Salvatore Augustine Giunta
Giunta is a staff sergeant  in the United States Army. He is the first living person to receive the United States military's highest decoration for valor, the Medal of Honor, for actions that occurred since the Vietnam War. Giunta was cited for saving members of his squad on October 25, 2007 during the Ware in Afghanistan. What a contrast with low lifes such as the Jihadist Major Nidal Malik Hasan who killed soldiers at Fort Hood or traitor Private Bradley Manning who compromised many secrets by releasing them to WikiLeaks.

VILLAIN
Bradley E. Manning.
Army private and traitor Manning was charged in July 2010 with the unauthorized disclosure of U.S. classified information He is being held in solitary confinement at the Marine Corps Brig Quantico, and is expected to face a court-martial [and hopefully, a firing squad]    in the spring of 2011.

HERO
Pastor Cary Gordon and the Voters in Iowa
The patriotic and principled voters in IOWA in November removed three Iowa Supreme Court Justices, who had taken it upon themselves to declare same-sex marriage to be legal against the will of the people and against law of nature. The people felt that the judges overstepped their bounds and booted them out of office.

VILLAIN
National Public Radio (NPR) for firing Juan Williams
NPR, the taxpayer funded voice of subversion, fired Williams for expressing his honest opinions regarding his discomfort in seeing Muslims clad in their traditional garb boarding a plane. One of the first tasks of the new Congress should be to cut off all taxpayer funds to this anti-American anti-Christian leftist propaganda machine, NPR and its evil sister PBS.
