Abortion "Rights"

(Manchester, N.H.) AP writer Nedra Pickler reports in a news item which I saw on OneNewsNow.com today that Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton brags in a campaign letter sent to New Hampshire voters that she is more pro-abortion, more for a woman’s right to murder her baby, than is Senator Barack Hussein Obama. She accused Obama of not being as adamant a defender of abortion as she is. She claimed that while he was a State Senator in Illinois he voted “present” instead of a registering a pro-abortion vote.

In reality Obama has an every bit as vile a record on abortion as Rodham-Clinton does. Pickler points out that, “During his eight years in the legislature, Obama cast a number of votes on abortion and received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion rights, family planning services and health insurance coverage for female contraceptives. He voted against requiring medical care for aborted babies who survive, a vote that especially riled abortion opponents.” Sound pretty pro-death to me, Senator Clinton.

Is this really something about which one should boast?

Pickler goes on to quote representatives of both the Rodham-Clinton and the Obama campaigns. “Clinton spokesman Phil Singer said the campaign decided to send the piece because "as Senator Obama has said, `voting records matter.' This is a critical issue for New Hampshire voters and they deserve a straightforward presentation of the facts about both candidates."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton responded, "The Clinton campaign's false negative attacks were rejected by Iowa voters, and we expect that they'll suffer the same fate here in New Hampshire."

Their stands on the abortion issue alone disqualifies all the Democrat candidates as well as Mayor Giuliani from any consideration for my vote as president.
