Getting Tough on Illegal Immigration

A WorldNetDaily.com article quoted Dr. Ron Paul’s campaign chairman, Kent Snyder, as saying, "This advertisement makes it clear that, as president, Dr. Paul would

* oppose amnesty,

* secure the border,

* end birthright citizenship [anchor babies],

* end welfare to illegal aliens, and

* restore the rule of law."

I know Presidential candidate Representative Duncan Hunter believes and would take at least the same and sane actions to thwart illegal alien immigration as outlined in the newest Representative Ron Paul TV ad below. Click to see the video.

But where do you stand Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Mitt Romney, Senator Fred Thompson or Mayor Rudy Giuliani on this issue?

I am no fan of Representative Paul, but his position on immigration is clearly a move in the right direction. Everything around the immigration issue is too lax and all of the candidates must commit to being tough on immigration.

You can almost discount anything that Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani say about immigration because of their terrible records, which speak to where they stand on this issue no matter what they would mouth with their lips today.
