Earlier in the week Representative and former Presidential candidate Duncan Hunter endorsed Governor Mike Huckabee for President. Another candidate who quit the same race, Fred Thompson is likely to endorse his gumba Senator John McCain, who is more liberal or moderate than conservative on a number of issues.
To me an endorsement by Duncan Hunter means something. I highly respect Congressman Hunter and felt that he was the best candidate in the GOP field. Hunter had a choice to select any of the five remaining candidates. If he did not seriously think that Governor Huckabee would be strong on abortion, traditional marriage, immigration and national defense he would not have given his endorsement to him.
