No Conservative, No Vote for John McCain

A Michael Ramirez cartoon, Investors Business Daily, 1/8/08Above are some of the reasons NOT to vote for John McCain. Except for the War on Terror Senator McCain just doesn't get it. He's a rebel meaning he goes his own way and does not have a true conservative orientation. McCain is a moderate at best and a liberal at worst. He is closer politically to Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Barack H. Obama than he is to Duncan Hunter or Fred Thompson. Personally, I could not vote for the man.

In writing this post I came across Hugh Hewitt's recent post on TownHall.com. He states, "conservatives have to know that Senator McCain is the anti-conservative, and Rick Santorum's warning should be read by every Republican in every state yet to vote, and not just for the discussion of the McCain-Kennedy immigration fiasco highlighted below. I hope one or more of the FoxNews panel uses many of Senator Santorum's quotes in tonight's debate to put the issue of John McCain's anti-conservatism center on the table. . . "
