Homosexual Agenda, Coast to Coast

Taking Back the Rainbow

GOOD NEWS

California Supreme Court Upholds the People’s Right to Vote on Marriage in Upcoming Election

Liberty Counsel (LC) sent this good news out as an alert today:

“This afternoon, the California Supreme Court refused to hear a case
brought by same-sex marriage advocates, who intended to prevent California voters from voting on the California Marriage Protection Act ("Amendment") in November.

"The lawsuit was filed on behalf of three voters and the
National Center for Lesbian Rights, Lambda Legal, the ACLU and Equality California against the California Secretary of State, who certified the Amendment.

"The Court's decision means the Amendment will stay on the ballot! . . .
Read LC’s News Release for more details."

I was pleasantly surprised by this excellent development. I was expecting a less favorable ruling based on the California Supreme Court's recent mis-rulings.

BAD NEWS

Massachusetts State Senate demonstrates cowardice and sleaze

Jeff Johnson reporting for OneNewsNow.com wrote in a news story this morning titled, “
Lawmakers 'cowardly' in 'sleazy' vote on marriage law” low down tactics that same-sex advocates will stoop to get their way.

“. . . The Massachusetts Senate has moved the Commonwealth one step closer to being the second U.S. state to offer unrestricted homosexual "marriage." Massachusetts legalized homosexual marriages in 2004. But a 1913 law prohibited homosexuals who were not residents of Massachusetts from getting "married" unless same-sex unions were legal in their area of residence. However, lawmakers in the state senate voted Tuesday to repeal that law. (See earlier story)

"Brian Camenker, president of the pro-family group
MassResistance, is still somewhat shell-shocked by how the vote occurred. "It's one thing to lose a vote, but it's certainly horrible the way they did it. It was cowardly. It was undemocratic. It was obscene the way it was handled," he argues. Four lawmakers spoke briefly in favor of repealing the law and none spoke against the proposal. Then in less than one minute, says Camenker, the presiding officer called for a voice vote and announced that the repeal had passed.

"I've never seen anything like that," Camenker exclaims. "Nobody, obviously, nobody wanted their name in front of this. Nobody was willing to get up and say anything," he continues. "You know, somebody could have at least called for a roll call vote. But it was...as cowardly as anything I've ever seen. This was completely choreographed by the homosexual) movement," Camenker concludes. He adds that calling the process "sleazy doesn't even do it justice."

"The Massachusetts House is expected to consider repealing the restriction later this week. Supporters of homosexual marriage claim the repeal could bring hundreds of millions of dollars in tourism money to the state. But opponents point out that no amount of money could compensate for the damage Massachusetts has done to the traditional family by legitimizing -- and now attempting to expand -- counterfeit marriages between people of the same sex."

This is a much less favorable development. In the colony in which Founding Father John Adams risked his life to help birth America we see the worst elements in action helping to destroy our nation. I surely hope and pray that the Massachusetts House will come to its senses and halt this subversive and complicit pro-homosexual activity. I would love to see them reject the proposed overturn of the 1913 law.
