Join the Boycott of McDonald's

Taking Back the Rainbow

On its website Liberty Counsel (LC) says that today, Wednesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m., a press conference will be held. At that press conference Liberty Counsel will announce that it is joining the boycott against McDonald's. Other participating groups joining Liberty Counsel are: • American Family Association (AFA), which launched the McDonald’s boycott, • Americans for Truth, Illinois Family Institute, AFA of Pennsylvania, and Family Taxpayers Foundation.

Below is some additional information from LC’s website.

"While referring to Christians and other people with traditional values, a McDonald's spokesman arrogantly stated, "Hatred has no place in our culture." This statement suggested that anyone supporting the historical definition of marriage is motivated by hate. The company has insulted everyone who supports traditional marriage. McDonald's might as well change their signs from "billions and billions served," to read "billions and billions insulted.""

TAKE ACTION, JOIN THE BOYCOTT

"Read our News Release to learn more about the boycott. The boycott is ONLY about getting McDonald's to stay neutral in the culture wars. It is NOT about favoring discrimination or hate."

In part the Liberty Council News Release states,Mathew D. Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, commented, "McDonald's should focus on food quality and safety issues instead of attacking the values held by the majority of people worldwide. Marriage between a man and a woman is the norm throughout the world. McDonald's' personal attack against those who support the traditional definition of marriage, while siding with a narrow group that promotes a radical redefinition, shows that company executives are out to lunch . . .”"

"Join the boycott. Tell your local McDonald's manager that you will not eat there because the company is taking sides in the culture war by supporting radical groups that are against marriage between one man and one woman. Tell the corporate office at McDonald's toll-free at 1-800-244-6227 or by email via their online form.

"Inform as many people as possible about the boycott . . ."
