Boycotting Islamic Stamps is Irrelevant

Note: the above picture is not meant as a sign of dishonor to the United States, but it is a sign of distress.

This post is in response to the recent post entitled “of Muslim Stamps & Savagery”.

You say "REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks".

What about the vicious American attacks? The number of people who have died in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq is over 250 times the number of people who died in the 911 attacks. It is over 100 times the number of people who have died in all terrorist attacks from 1993 to 2004, which includes nearly all that you have mentioned in your post. Rather than focusing on the Muslims, we need to focus on our own sins, repent and turn back to God.

We armed Osama Bin Laden when Mujahadeen were fighting against the USSR. We armed Iran in the Iran-contra scandal. We sold WMDs to Saddam Hussein. We helped established the Taliban in Afghanistan. Bush II called for the establishment of a Palestinian state and armed Fatah to support it. The CIA threatened to kill Afghanistani tribal leaders if they would not help us and then they carried out those threats instead of fighting Al Qaeda. We also armed Sunni Muslims and radical Islamic factions in Afghanistan during the current wars.

Jesus said:

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matt 7:1-6 (KJV)
