I was going to continue my
series on creationist apologetics, but I just couldn’t let this story go by. When questioned about whether or not the military had
the authority to attack Iran without congressional approval, Petraeus dodged the question by saying that he is only in charge of the armed forces in Iraq and is not, therefore, qualified to answer the question. Of course such action would be unconstitutional and any military general should know that. You can see the questioning
here.
But this is not the end of the story. The man who was not qualified to answer a simple question about military policy has now been promoted to U.S. Central Commander, and put in charge of
confronting Iran, and reinvigorating military operations in Afghanistan.
