John Lofton on his American View website had an interview with Cal Zastrow, who gave a report of a situation in the state of Montana. The following is a gleaning from the interview and from related TV and newspaper reports I was able to obtain on the Internet
On the day that Senator Barack Hussein Obama made news by winning the Montana Democratic Primary Election and clinching the Democratic Party nomination for President, another man was making news in Montana. He is 49 year old Phillip Depaul, who on the same day, Election Day, Tuesday June 3, had been petitioning on behalf of the Constitution Initiative (CI -100) to gain ballot access for the Montana Personhood Amendment,. Hoards of people including out-of-state pro-abortion activists infested Montana that day. Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups activists yelled and screamed at those who were trying to get signatures for the Personhood petition.They threatened, harassed, and intimidated the petitioners throughout the state to make it difficult for them to garner the signatures necessary to place the Personhood Amendment on the fall ballot. Included with the harassment were unsubstantiated complaints to the law enforcement officials and the Secretary of State.
Mr. Depaul claims that he did not approach anyone to sign the petition. He also contends that he was over 100' from the polling place entrances. A sheriff’s deputy came out to the public area telling him that he had to leave the area. Mr. Depaul, knowing that he had broken no laws being on public grounds, stood his ground and was arrested. He was charged with violating election laws and failure to disperse. It was covered by the media, TV and newspaper. A TV station, KFBB, erroneously reported online that Mr. Depaul, “. . . was apparently approaching voters in the parking lot at Expo Park before they entered the polling place, telling them whom they should vote for."

He was held on an $1,100 bond in the Cascade County Jail. He was arraigned on June 4th. Mr. Depaul pleaded not guilty. He will fight the charges. See the news story and video.

MONTANA CONSTITUTIONAL INITIATIVE CI -100
CI-100 amends the Montana Constitution's Declaration of Rights to provide that all persons have a paramount and fundamental right to life. It extends constitutional rights to all persons from the moment of conception. It adds a definition of "person" that includes all stages of development, including fertilization. The definition of "person" also includes all stages of life regardless of age, health, level of functioning or condition of dependency.

ReplyDeleteget busy promoting it until January of 2008. With that lesson learned, the next effort has a good chance of getting on a future ballot. Additionally, the babykiller interests were scared by the ballot petition success in Colorado in May 2008, and they imported paid and volunteer saboteurs to actively wreck the Montana baby-saving campaign. They followed their characteristic L.I.E.S. strategy, i.e. they would LIE (pretending to be friendly and pro-life), try to INFILTRATE their way into the campaign (e.g. to be false petition-gatherers) , engage in ESPIONAGE to look for anything that could be sabotaged, and then SABOTAGE it. For example, not only were there L.I.E.S. pro-abortion operatives trying to "collect petition signatures at the polls" (so they could turn in 1% and steal 99%) there were some volunteering "friends/relatives as helpful notaries who would be happy to notarize petition signatures" and in reality secretly make them disappear once handed over. They were also very active in trying to follow pro-life people to their cars, take pictures, etc. etc. in line with their active L.I.E.S. strategy, as funded by money derived from the blood-money of babies already killed. In the future, petition drives need to plan earlier, organize earlier, and be on the lookout for false "friends." If you petition in a fixed location for more than 30-60 minutes, they can feed in false "friends" who want to sign and "help" the campaign. So, it's best to be moving around at a large event, or knocking on residential doors, to avoid the planted poison of meeting fake "volunteers." Also, it's best to park a few blocks away and walk around a few corners before coming or going with a petition and a clipboard. Like the guy who was arrested, my experience with the Montana babykiller crowd was also that they like to run around behind people's backs setting up lies to get petitioners expelled. But, if you move across the landscape faster than they can set up lies, you are almost completely invulnerable. Walking past houses that were obviously unoccupied, and concentrating on ones with lights, doors open, sprinklers on, kids hovering around, etc. I typically could get 10-15 signatures per hour with fast walking, fast knocking, and fast talking. If you run across a pleasant friendly inquiry about what part of the neighborhood you haven't done yet, or how much longer you'll be in the area, chances are it's a babykiller sweetie set-up to feed you a false friend (or a crooked cop) down the road a piece. So, if you don't tell them where you're going or how long you'll be around it will be harder for them to set you up with unpleasant surprises. After all, you don't owe the spies and saboteurs of the L.I.E.S. doctrine any answers. It's your privacy, your choice, and if they don't like your privacy and your choice to not tell them, they can go get Roe v. Wade and its privacy and its choice declared unconstitutional! It's great to bring along a video camera, or a friend with a video camera, since they lie less when being taped for evidence than can be shown on the news or in court. And if you encounter their slimy tactics, you can also pretend to be gullible, put on a dumb act, and give them just enough rope that they can go hang themselves instead of you and the innocent babies.
