Taking Back the Rainbow
(ORLANDO, FLORIDA) A “Love Won Out” conference similar to the one identified in the billboard above is taking place today in Orlando. The conference expects to attract 500 participants. The conference coincides with the annual Disney sponsored Homosexual-Lesbian Day at the famous amusement park. The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that homosexuals and lesbians activists are set to protest the event and the notion that homosexuality is 'curable.'
The newspaper comments, “The ex-(homosexual and lesbian) conference is the setting for the latest battleground between conservative Christian ministries and (homosexual and lesbian) activists over the unsolved question of what determines a person's sexual orientation. The ministries argue that same-sex attraction results from specific events in a person's life -- such as sexual abuse, personal trauma and dysfunctional families -- that can be corrected with Christian-based counseling.”
Melissa Fryrear, director of gender issues for Focus on the Family who along with Exodus International is sponsoring the event, is quoted in the Sentinel as saying, "Same-sex attraction is the result of a number of influential factors, but, no, we don't believe people are born (homosexual or lesbian). We believe homosexuals can be converted and same-sex attractions can change."
Truth is not easily accepted by the same-sex crowd. In fact, in the end truth is the same-sex crowd’s worst enemy.

So apparently, nobody is born heterosexual; it's not a natural thing, according to these "Christians."
ReplyDeleteApparently, we're all constantly teetering on the verge of "switching sides."
Because, according to these supposedly "Christian" people, we can all just jump around at will from one sexuality to another at any moment -- and back again!
Sexuality, according to these guys, is just a set of clothes we can whip on and off at will. Like something you can buy at the mall. A matter of consumer choice, I guess.
Interesting...
Funny how you don't actually see most people behaving that way. Funny how this doesn't seem to describe life as most of us know it. Certainly not my own experience of life.
But if these "Christians" say it, it must be true!

ReplyDeleteThe point of the post was that homosexuality is primarily a behavioral CHOICE.
A black person cannot wake up tomorrow and change the fact that he or she is black. A 95 year old man or woman cannot wake up tomorrow and change their chronological age.
However, a homosexual can change. Many have. They reject that unnatural, unhealthy, abnormal and immoral lifestyle and can and do change. It is called repentance. Just like a thief or an adulterer or a serial killer can stop what they are doing, repent of their actions and change the direction of their lives so can homosexuals and lesbians and the "transgendered". It is a matter of behavior, primarily.
This is one of the chief reasons that there is absolutely no need for sexual orientation non-discrimination laws or no need for hate crime laws.
