McCain Debases Conservative Base

Don Wright cartoon of the Palm Beach Post
as seen in the Columbus Dispatch 6/10/08

This cartoon says a lot about Senator McCain.
.
He apparently is counting on grabbing a lot of independent, moderate Democrat and Republican voters. He will have to do that. He is making no effort to capture the conservative or Christian voter.
.
He even seems to be trying to alienate us with the his refusal to support a federal marriage protection constitutional amendment, irresponsibly pushing for amnesty and the global warming hoax, and rejecting the endorsements of Christian leaders such as Revs. Parsley and Hagee, who both spoke truth. McCain apparently, like his even more liberal opponent Obama, truth and traditional American values are something to shun. This election for President offers probably the two worst choices ever.

  1. Rejecting Parsley and Hagee is no big deal because those guys are nothing but propagandists for the Likud Party in Israel. Its not like AIPAC John McCain is going to tell the Israeli Lobby to go to hell, he is a good goy.

McCain just plain sucks, but it has nothing to do with telling the kooky preachers who are trying to bring about the second coming of Christ and the end of the World to go to hell. Those damned Christian Zionists need to go to hell. The sooner they follow Jerry Falwell's lead and drop dead, the better.

  2. A real conservative is running for President this year - His name is Bob Barr - the Congressman from Georgia who led the impeachment against Clinton. His campaign manager is Ross Perot's and he is making waves, especially in Southern and Mountain States.

How can any conservative in their right mind vote for a liberal like John McCain? Would not a liberal Republican be better positioned to pass liberal legislation than Democratic President? Ex. - Would NCLB have been passed if Clinton had proposed it? NO!!

Vote with your conscience and support the real conservative, limited government, Ronald Reagan/Barry Goldwater Candidate Rep. Bob Barr. http://www.bobbarr2008.com

  3. I agree that militant Zionism is not the answer--the United States should be be friendly with Israel (trade with them and have good diplomatic relations), but we should not put the Israeli state on welfare at U.S. taxpayers' expense. "Error needs the support of government, but the truth can stand on its own." (Thomas Jefferson) Even though I strongly disagree with Zionists like Hagee, I believe in correcting such people in a loving way, not by telling them to go to hell.

As for Bob Barr, he is unacceptable because he believes abortion should legal in cases of rape and incest. I will only support a candidate who is 100% pro-life, and I've also heard worse things about Barr.

Dianne Beall Templin is A Good Choice for president.

  4. Matt, you are right. I should try and make nice with those people like Hagee, but then again I see them as Heritics and are teaching their people a false faith and calling it Christianity. Christian Zionists are responsible for much of what is wrong with the World, and it is mostly due to pastors like Hagee who have taught their flock a false exegesis of the Bible.

Matt, I think that you might be more satisfied with the Constitution Party. The guy they are running is named Chuck Baldwin, and he does not have the same moral short-comings as Bob Barr, yet he is still a stand up conservative.

The way I see it, it does not matter if you vote for Barr or Baldwin, so long as you vote for someone other than John McCain, just to show the Republican Party that some of us in the Party still place a higher value on principles than John McCain can provide.

We will all lose, but Obama will piss all sorts of people off then we take congress back in 2010, and elect a real conservative in 2012. It'll be a hard 4 years, but I think that if we elect McCain we might lose the conservative movement forever.
