Will Obama "Save" the Economy?

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch newspaper runs a regular feature called the Hot Issue, where they ask their readers a question of interest and ask them to answer the question and comment on their answer. The following question was asked today.

The Hot Issue:

Do you think the Obama administration will be able to solve the nation's economic crisis?

My Response:

No, in fact, the Obama Administration will further exacerbate the economic crisis.

The Obama Administration will make Bush & Company, as bad as they were at spending money, look like spendthrifts. Obama does not stand for the change he purported to represent on the stump, but he represents retread Carter-Clinton liberal tax and tax and tax and spend and spend and spend policies.

If anything with his Gore-green environmental policies and his foolish adoption of the so-called carbon-credit bunk, there will be further crippling of what is remains of our manufacturing industries. His anti-American and pro-Marxist “spread the wealth” policies and tax policies will further destroy America’s middle class and small businesses. Obama's policies would cap the Clampett's oil well and send them back to the hills impoverished and dependent on the government. Obama's "green" energy policy will only further stifle domestic oil production, clean coal use, nuclear use, etc. This will help to further destroy our economy and enrich the Sheiks. They will serve as disincentives to entrepreneurship, which helped build America into an economic powerhouse in the first place.
